Hello! Here is my attempt at Outset Island from Wind Waker. I've been avoiding this one for a long time because the original track uses a lot of orchestral instruments that I don't have access to, but I eventually decided to just try creating an arrangement using "silly" instruments instead. This was the last game my mom got for me before she passed away. This song brings me back and I cant help but to smile and think about her. Thank you.

I have nowhere near as concrete an attachment to this song as you, but it's very powerful for me, too. brings a little bit of tears to my eyes every time I listen to it for some reason. hold those memories in your heart!

I just clicked this without looking at who was playing it, then I heard those rich sounds, that perfect union of woodwind and melodica, and it was like hearing an old friend's voice.

I absolutely loved the use of the "silly sounding instruments" as opposed to more traditional orchestral ones. It made this cover it's own and I believe it did justice to the fun-loving nature of WW as a whole.
They don't sound "silly" at all. They sound carefully handpicked to get the feel of each sound right in a way that nobody else on TH-cam does.
This is incredibly beautiful, just like all your arrangements.

Love that they included the iconic Zelda motif in this song. Really brings home the nostalgia for the series when you're playing it for the first time at 25.
This is such an innocent and inspiring song. It almost feels like a start of an old adventure cartoon.

I don't know if PPF will read this, but... Your videos now have a BIG part in the history of my family. My younger daughter - 1 year old now - loves them. The songs you play makes her dance, clap, and also fall asleep peacefully. Even the older one (4) already knows how to search for them when nap time comes.
I love your work so much. Chrono trigger is my favorite game ever, and your covers from its musics were the first ones I used. But I never played Wind Waker, so I have zero nostalgia with this music; still, it never fails to move me. You turned songs that already wre important to me - and others I didn't even knew - in a part of my family's story.

Just beautiful. I never grew up playing Wind Waker as a kid but later on when I was older I played it and this cover just feels so nostalgic.
Wind Waker music is so memorable because it puts the recorder front and center with the main melody. Prove me wrong.

Biggest Chungus I didn’t dislike it but I could see someone coming from a musical background not liking it because it’s pretty sterile musically. The composition is great but because he’s emulating a games console it has little soul (until the end).

This captures the essence the layered instruments in the original gave, and then improves on it drastically 0_o. Glad I came back looking for zelda songs after not having listened to any for a couple years, lol
remixing such a good song is already pretty hard, but you still manage to make the remix better than the original!

Only now did I realise that the Kokiri forest melody is quoted quite heavily in this piece! I suppose every time I ever listened to this it was I was playing the game, so I didn't pay close enough attention. Loving the insert of Zelda's Lullaby at the end! Maybe do something from Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles. That would be awesome, and I know you would nail it! Keep it up man!

I always forget about the section of this that is the Kokiri Forest theme from OoT, and it gives me chills every time. WW's soundtrack is among the best in the series IMO.
