I’ll say I’m quite happy on how Ho-Oh was handled. It relies on the ENERGY to revive teammates, but it’s not cheap, and is the unite move. The moves are strong but not game-breaking. And the fact we now have an EX defender will finally give Meta Slaves a reason to pick a defender
i love Sableye against Ho-Oh, knocking off 15 energy removes 2 revives from the birbs unite move

Goodra ain't bad but it ain't a defender, it's an all-rounder. Play it hyper aggressively and you'll have much more success.
Goodra is the lamest tank worse than the squirrel
Goodra needs a rework before it needs buffs. It just doesn't have anything that it does outstandingly well, unless its opponent just decides to face tank. Small buffs aren't going to save it from the bottom 3 group
Just got ceruledge the other day. It feels really good and is only getting better the more I understand the kit. It’s definitely probably the best in the game, but I really enjoy it. Phantom force I think is one of the cooler move in the game.
Same picked him up cuz I had 16000 saved up and thought he looked cool and started playing the poke panic and have just been having a blast. My buddy plays Greninja and we been having fun
Idk I think Blastoise at the very bottom of the list is a bit harsh. Its win-rates have been kinda bad, but it also was pretty busted for a long time so I think it makes sense that it getting nerfs leads to bad results due to players bad habits and recklessness finally not being covered up by a really over-tuned character. I’ve been doing fine with it personally and I think it still offers way more than the less CC heavy defenders like Lapras and Goodra. The main thing that holds it back somewhat is that it doesn’t have the broken sustain that the current top four defenders have. (This is all in terms of surf pump, never really played rapid spin.)
In an ideal world the dev team would collect a bunch of the fanbases’ tier lists and average all the results and balance them based on the end result
D ranks get really good buffs and everything above that rank up til A gets less and less major buffs, A tiers receiving no buffs or nerfs and S tiers being nerfed in tiny increments
I'm also quite surprised at the fact that Ho-oh isn't broken! But I'm sooo glad that that means that they are really tuning down the EX pokemon to be in line with the energy of other pokemon until the inevitable removal of EX pokemon outright! ALSO quite glad that people are no longer sleeping on Blaziken!!
I'm gonna say I really like the current meta, it feels like the game has a whole new energy to it!
I do agree with most of your takes, however in my opinion Blastoise is really underrated currently.
Both Hydro Pump builds stil feel fine, as long as you run a more support-oriented build. It's nowhere near as crazy as it used to be, but I'd still put it in the B-Tier I think
Sableye is probably better overall but at least Greedent players are consistent and understand their role. I've had so many games where I'm expecting Sable to go and mess with the enemy teams but they just hang back the whole time. :'( Crustle players are always on the same page though. They know how to play rushdown characters.
so many people talking about your energy in the comments, and i gotta agree. the vibes you bring to all your vids make them engaging and interesting without being over-the-top. its a perfect balance that always has me watching right to the end of every video
Meowscarada's passive was totally broken. It was invisible to way too long and it does so many things. I think the problem part of meow is actually the shield it gets from trailblaze.
I love blastoise, i personally do pretty well with it using surf and hydro, but i’ve noticed it doesn’t tank as well as all the other defenders. i would love a slight increase to maybe its survivability like just a little bit more Hp or something.
I was shocked to see Blastoise rank two whole tiers lower than Snorlax. Surf/hydro is a solid build.
@@nickrobinson9629 is solid build but he cannot tank anymore is like a cc player without defender survival or real good damage, he is just meh in everything, trevenant can cc and survive a lot in compare with blastoise
The thing about ceruledge is, with all the crazy things running around in S tier, it kinda needed this buff. With Blaziken and zacian everywhere, blissey and eldegoss healing more and more every day that goes by, the exs being exs, and trevenant and Umbreon still being unkillable, I like ceruledge being busted. If I'm gonna main a pokemon, I at least want a shot at dealing with the big leagues.

21:36, tree is an all-rounder. He does kind of do everything. Buzzwole probably doesn't need major buffs, I'd say he's A, A+. Although people could play him better. Also Blastoise probably just needs to revert the water spout nerf, he doesn't seem that bad.

Big fan on the energy the Unite team brought in the recent Dev letter. I haven't played the game in awhile and im thinkimg about hopping back in once the EX mons are nerfed to the level of everyone else. Do we know of when that will be?
Definitely need to see a Machamp and Sableye rework, and Wiggly buffs. Its been a while since you've rearranged the pokemon at the end for people who skip all the info! (Yes I did skip to the end, I wanted to see certain placements and I'm gonna go back through and watch for the info on why they were placed.)
Machamp just needs a lv 7 evolve.

That A-tier has some Big 'Mon Energy. It's always so nice to see so many truly playable options in a competitive scene like a pokemon moba. You really can play what you like and be successful to a large extent.

Have to say the one pokemon I've been struggling to deal with lately in game is Mimikyu. I like him, but as a solo queue player you nailed it that it just snowballs to victory with just enough self recovery in shadow claw to keep it's energy going. I think it needs just a baby nerf in some way but I'm not sure exactly what I'd want. Trick Room and Play Rough at least seem fine to me and same with the ult
I think Ho-oh's moves are quite good and well balanced, in concept they sound insane but in practice you see it's a different thing. The hype and positive energy its release brought to the game it's also something good from what i have seen
Im just happy Mr.Mime is doing well. Also my unpopular opinion about 2 troublesome speedsters, DOdrio and Zoroark: the fact that their mobility is so through the roof makes does mean they are very difficult to play, but it makes playing against them even harder than that. In a MOBA where you cant easily pre-fire stun in their path its very easily to abuse the lack of precise control the opponent has.
I'd like to see a speedster that does percentage damage. For instance Toxicroak that jumps in uses poison jab that does percentage damage over time. Then comes in and executes them. It's hard for speedsters to fight tanks and one that has percentage damage could help even the playing field. It wouldn't be as bursty but it could shred tanks.
Love the energy! I'm feeling good about the game right now, and I hope that helps you with content cause you may be one of the biggest things keeping it going strong! Let's hope it keeps getting better too, I'd love to see the game bring in more players in it's 4th year!
Tbh, i've been playing unite less and less these past few weeks, but then i heard the EXtinction and it gave me BIG HYPE ENERGY to play again, and with the rise of my boi char, i'm enjoying it more and more~! great patch overall
Ho-oh's ult needs to be fixed. The worst experience I've ever had while playing this game is getting revived at the end of a 30 second respawn timer in the middle of the enemy team, just to get insta'd and get another 20 seconds. All the other ults that directly move you (hoopa / lapras) have player confirmation. I have no clue why the Ho-oh ult doesn't let players either decide to place/remove the feather, or give them the option to respawn by pressing a button.
TL:DR Ho-oh's ult lets you kill your teammates again, and make them spend double time dead. Needs two factor authentication.
The true experience of growing as a Unite player is going from watching Spragels tier lists and thinking he’s gotta be trolling with Goodra being so low to thinking he ranked it perfectly. Also, I just absolutely love the energy you bring to your videos, theirs a reason your tier lists are the only ones I watch
Love the energy that Ho-oh provides. It's busted but in a really sweet way. Other ex pokemon make you feel like they're the only players in the match that is having fun and Ho-oh quite literally let's every single teammate have more fun with it's unite move. Just incredibly considerate design if you ask me.

My thoughts on Ho-Oh as someone who returned to the game 5 days before release is that: it's refreshing. While an EX mon, it doesn't feel oppressive like the rest due to the nature of its defensive utility.
It's Unite may be fantastic in coordinated play, but currently it's borderline a troll move. Unlike Khepri, you can't res yourself. For your allies, there's no tell when they'll be resurrected. These are negatives. However, if your opponent expends their resources and you don't/ no one was KO'd In a bad position at Ray, it's a blessing... Getting busted a second time is funny though.
Consistently putting out this high quality of content must require massive amounts of energy

When B-tier is so hated A-tier becomes the new B-tier 😆
- Would love to see a Blastoise buff in the form of a total passive rework, turning it into Rain Dish. - Umbreon/Ho-oh would be less OP if reworked fully into Supports
- Zeraora's passive getting a QoL change so you can see its passive in the form of a bar and getting a unite rework could put it in a really good place.
- Gengar getting a passive buff (like Talon) & a unite rework to be able to use it more often would make it feel like a Speedster again.
- Machamp needs earlier levels and faster/better basics while having a shield during Submission & damage resistance during Close Combat.
- Lapras needs Bubble-beam/Ice-Beam to be more effective Defender tools (more defensive utility) & its passive nerf to be reverted. The unite should be a lower cooldown again but much less damage.
- Goodra could at least get a passive QoL change to be more manual to avoid wasting it.

Dude the energy that Ceruledge brings to a match is unreal. He levels the playing field. Then you have the aeos energy requirement of HO-OH to bring him right back. All you need is the shiny red eyes of Ceruledge and his energy would go over the top demolishing all who dare look into his eyes.
back on my Gengar ranting (but I'm really commenting to help the algorithm).
Gengar just does too good in solo queue for them to buff him. The reason Gengar mains eat their way to Masters quickly is because of how many teams run 3-5 attackers/speedsters. The reason Gengar struggles in draft is that team comps improve (not all but generally) and you run into less squishies. ALSO, Gengar has a hard time with getting out of situations. Dont ever put him in one. If you NEVER get outplayed in a game, it's a good time. But unlike leafeon/zera/zoro etc Gengar doesnt have an OH$#!+ button to escape a bad fight. So you essentially get KOd immediately on any questionable decision. If you're a committed Gengar main up to masters, I think it's a safe A tier. with draft I'd say B. But if you don't have the spooky boy down your mileage will be nowhere as good and he sits in D. There's just more rewarding Pokemon for less effort.
Sableye buffs, mostly hp and not getting seen when they hit your traps.

Really loved the energy of this video! I just got chandelure because I love it in the games, and I can confirm- the pokemon is a bit underwhelming, especially flamethrower & poltergeist. the unite is pretty unique though, blinding those around it. Either way, really love the energy you brought today to the video.
Don’t have Ho-Oh yet, but can’t wait to try it out and use all my Aeos “Energy” to revive my team during the Raq fight, but as a defender main I absolutely agree that Slowbro is amazing and can sometimes be broken ever since the last patch. Punishing my opponents with Scald when they have 4-5 physical attackers on their team has been a blast lol. Also as a newer player just wanna say thank you for your videos. They helped me get to Master my first season (season 19) and I love trying the builds you showcase 😊
Honestly, it’s refreshing to see the energy of Pokémon UNITE change and then focus more on the returning player. I’m really looking forward to the next season.
I find it interesting that so many mons made your A tier. I wonder if it's an indication of the meta or something else. I've found that highly skilled players tend to have a rosier view of middling pokemon because their skills tend to smooth over their rough edges. After all, in the right hands, even a dull blade will cut.
I love to see the ENERGY and hope that the EX announcement has brought you. It feels like such a shocking upheaval of the power of the community’s voice and the hope that they’re actually listening and care about their core players makes it feel like anything is possible.
Do you think they'll ever recategorize Pokémon? Gengar being an attacker and its kit being updated to be more of a mage is a cool idea.... seems like too much time and energy for timi to update though.

As a more seasoned player I think players are sleeping on wild charge zeraora. The early lane with slash makes it a decent last hit and the amount of damage after three sparks turbo charges his energy stacks and along with a weakness policy attack buff the wild charge damage one shots all rounders.
I am looking at the ammount of pure energy people have while making youtube videos and your chilled out but still very analytical tier lists are amazing. Thanks for making more videos 🎉
Man i put soooooooooo much ENERGY into getting ho oh as he is my most favorite pokemon in the entire game. I had aeos gems which i was using to play the divine forest challenge to get the ho oh coins, in all my excitement of finallllllyyyy be able to get my hands on this pokemon i ended uo reading the divine forest exchange wrong!!!! I had aeos tickets and thought that you could exchange the tickets for ho oh coins!!! Boy was i sooo wrong when i looked and i realized i traded 800 ho oh coins for over 25 THOUSAND aeos tickets. Man ive never felt so sad, defeated, dumb and disappointed 😔😔😔😔
As a heads up, you dont need 10 aeos energy to revive a player, you can use just 1 aeos energy for 1 revive, though if you want to revive multiple people, you will need 10 energy per player

As someone who mains Azu, Goodra, Mamo and A9, I'm not loving this energy right now. But as someone whose started seriously playing Ceruledge and Blaziken as well I am SO DOWN with this new patch. Lol
The buff i'd like to see is to the ease of unlocking pokemon. Also sending positive Energy your way Spragels!

I still think they should've made Mewtwo's Mega Evolution consume Aeos Energy or something. Also, Zacian has a forced Item slot, but the Mewtwos don't have Mega Stones. That's wack

I feel as though Decidueye is just a little bit too squishy playing razor leaf. If they gave him slightly more range and a damage decrease it would make him do better over all with out breaking him.

Gengar and blastoise are a bit better than bottom tier in my opinion
When you rate Goodra I think you hone in on the dragon pulse moveset a little too much. Muddy Water fixes its general “low level lobby” problem as it’s constantly in the enemy faces and doesn’t need to hit a sweet spot for the move to work.
Yeah but then it doesn’t really disrupt much. It’s sort of more of an all rounder
I felt ceruledge was pretty crazy before the buffs, the amount of energy you could add to the team i felt was significant

I'm a big fan of Ceruledge, glad it got its buffs and I'm having a lot of fun with it but it might be too good now lol. Will be interesting to see what they do with EX Pokemon, a lot of them consume aeos energy to counteract their huge strength but now that they're going to be more in line with normal Pokemon I wonder if they're going to keep doing that aeos energy consumption thing.
Hot take: Energy amp on ceruledge is actually a great choice for taking it up a notch above its god level status!

Jake I gotta say your energy is top-tier as always. I agree they should buff blastoise, although I do feel balance has been pretty good lately. Yes some things are extra powerful but I remember times where everything was extremely far apart.
I really would love to see mimikyu's trick room getting buffed. A move with so much potential and energy but very rarely does it work.

Ceruledge is a good choice, if you have the energy to pay attention it’s amazing but also still does pretty good just by running around
ceruledge is the best no doubts, that double dash is OP to kill atackers, it gets anything but maybe mewtwos and mews, it just need that lvl 5 to get online and 7 to be OP

Ceruledge is a menace. Tricky to counter. What have people had luck with? Char can fight it but it's kinda a tossup, Blaziken is outclassed by it in my experience
I was acc surprised that they buffed Ceruledge so much cuz I was literally thinking that it was doing pretty well. Ppl really do just suck in Unite

Played Unite for about a year now. Dumb question: Do you ever stay in Master, or do you always get kicked to Ultra 5 every time? I'm on my fifth run to Masters but it is getting pretty old.

I wonder if they will nerf Ceruledge in the next update as a sort of course correction for over-buffing him. I thought it was already pretty decent, but it is really strong now
Finally someone is being honest about Lapras 👏👏👏. It needs buffs to either it's passive, boosted attack healing, or Bubble Beam cooldown. The other defenders are literally laughing at Lapras. It dies too quickly and can't maintain the frontline like the other defenders can.
I am really loving Ceruledge right now, he's a ton of fun to play and has great energy!

In my opinion, A9 could certainly use some energy.
Always has been my favorite Pokemon and I still kinda cope for regular Nines to come into this game but... Honestly, the games with it right now don't feel great. I think the dive meta puts a very heavy hit on this Pokemon mainly because while it can disengage for itself a little, it is just way too less compared to the sheer diving power that the very good Pokemon right now have.
