Well to be fair, the part you said about being aware of the mistakes her teammates made, that was part of how the competition worked. When choosing someone to eliminate in rounds they would have to have reasons, so the smarter contestants would be those who would focus on what mistakes either they find in their teammates or the ones Gordon points out in front of everyone. I didn't say this to discredit Heather's good work, she does deserve credit for doing so well in this competition, just tryna keep it real because all the other contestants whether good or bad in cooking were doing this behavior as well

I read somewhere that the sous-chefs sometimes turn the over/stove gauges when the chefs aren't looking to see if they're paying attention to the settings in their stations
kitchens are often a hot place to begin with. Also many chefs start a dish with a clean pan, which they toss everything in when it is still cold (so you don´t expect it to sizzle) and don´t wait for it to get hot first. So you actually have no actual sign that the oven is off. It´s already hot and it wouldn´t sizzle anyway...

From what I've seen, Raj doesn't really have much problem in the kitchen (other than him firing everything at once that time) it's just that his attitude just makes him unbearable to work with.
High pressure, high volume fine dining can be the most humbling experience in any cooks life. It can be uplifting in the most incredible way if things go great. But it's virtually soul-crushing when you're in the weeds and shit goes sideways, and you have a hard time getting things back
