How to Stain Wood with Shoe Polish (DIY Money Saving Tips)

How to Stain Wood with Shoe Polish. I use this as a cheap alternative to conventional Furniture Wax. Shoe Polish, Shoe Cream, and Liquid Shoe Polish can all be used to Stain and Dye Wood to give many different shades and finishes. Shoe Polish is not food safe so is not suitable for projects that come into contact with food such as chopping boards.

If I use brown shoe polish / liquid to stain my wooden soles of my Dr scholls sandals / clogs ( I love the wood to be dark brown rather than pale wood, do I need to apply something else on top so that the shoe liquid polish won’t rub off on my feet when I wear the sandals( clogs) Please advise. I like your shoe polish idea very much .Thanks
