I am always amazed at your stamina to keep moving, even when you are visibly tired. Your relationship works so well as you travel China. The vlog was beautiful.😊
Actually, Bama is very famous in China, it's one of the most health and longevity place in China. there are some people from mega cities who got cancer came to Bama and live in the village.
Key points about why some Chinese hotels might not accept foreigners: Registration requirements: Hotels are required to register foreign guests with the local police, which can be a deterrent for smaller establishments due to the paperwork involved. Language barriers: Some hotels may lack staff with sufficient English language skills to handle foreign guest check-ins and interactions. Lack of awareness: In more remote areas, hotel operators might not be fully aware of the regulations regarding accepting foreign guests. Concerns about compliance: Fear of potential fines or legal issues if they make mistakes in the registration process for foreign guests. Recent developments: Government intervention: Chinese authorities have recently issued directives stating that all hotels should accept foreign guests and are taking steps to streamline the registration process. Improved training: Efforts are being made to train hotel staff on better handling foreign guest interactions and registration procedure
I I like your video, it provides another perspective on tourism, not the famous and noisy city, but the natural countryside, which makes me feel calm and healing
I love all those Chinese mountains, one can see how they have inspired eons of Chinese art. Well done for having navigated the byways and sharing them with us.
I know right? Before exploring the country I just kind of assumed that the Chinese landscape paintings we always see were a unique way of depicting mountains etc., but once in the country we’ve realised how special and particular the landscapes actually are. It’s been a real pleasure to get to explore the places we’ve gotten to!
Thank you for showing us the China that nobody goes to visit , I enjoyed is so beautiful and different from what we know . Have fun and take good care of yourself, enjoy the trip.
I feel you two about the hotel situation. Next time you should just walk up to the front desks whenever you see a hotel and ask for a room if you are that tired.
If you want to extend your stay, you can leave China through any border crossing, even for just one minute, and then re-enter under visa-free entry. The duration will be reset and recalculated.
I recommend that you try consuming quinoa at every meal, which is a protein rich plant seed. Very healthy, very nutritious, very suitable for you. After you return to China, you can purchase quinoa online in China.

Happy New Year! When foreigners stay in hotels in China, they should look for foreign-related hotels. Generally, hotels cannot meet the service standards, so they are not allowed to receive foreign guests.
no,....most place in china don't have this request any more. bama is a exception, i don't know why , wish gov can change the rules , make a trip more convenient .
I thought the central government has warned all hotels/hostels not to reject international travellers with the opening of the visa free to so many countries....still 👍to you for somehow managing to navigate to your final destinations, places which are off the radar for most foreign tourists and not that easy to get to as foreigners.
Love❤
I want to tell you two things. First, there are two types of hotels in China: those that can accommodate foreigners and those that cannot. Many hotels simply ignore this regulation, but in some places, it is strictly enforced. Clearly, you encountered a place in Bama where the rule was strictly followed.
Ah that’s so kind of you. We would have loved to experience the spring festival with a local, but because everyone warns you that it is not a good time to be a traveller in the country (as everyone is moving to see family and a lot of businesses are closed), we decided to leave and come back in February. Thank you again and we wish you a very happy new year! 🎇
@@WaleandMe In China, the Spring Festival is the grandest festival, we will return to our hometown to spend with our relatives, if we have friends from afar, we will also warmly invite them to spend this festival together. In Guangxi, if you go to any village, the villagers will invite you to spend this festival together. We are very enthusiastic and look forward to friends from other countries to spend this festival with us. It's a shame that you left China.😖
@@WaleandMe The spring festival is actually not good for ordinary travelers who came to see attractions and experience busy cities because these places are either closed or empty. But for you two who like to travel without a plan and blend in local life, times like this might not be a bad idea. The center of the city will be empty, attractions closed, but people's life are vibrant. You may want to be in it. BTW it will be hard to find a restaurant that's open on the first three days of year. That's all.
Maybe those hotels that turned you down weren't legal, and so they didn't want to rent to foreigners just in case anything happened to you, they would get into trouble.
This is the worst advice in the world. So they'd buy an eBike (which definitely requires registration in Guangxi) and requires a license if it's bigger than the share-bike size and then somehow they'd learn to drive a scooter with their stuff and then drive down to the Vietnam border and what, sell the eBike at the border? You have a lot to learn about China and how things work (and do not work) in China heheh.. a LOT to learn.
Second , it’s necessary to point out a significant cultural difference. In China, you should not avoid filming those who help you, and you certainly shouldn’t edit their faces out of the video. The simple belief among Chinese people is that someone who does good deeds deserves to be praised, and someone who does bad deeds deserves to be held accountable. Therefore, when you intentionally avoid filming those who do good deeds, it implies that you don’t want kind-hearted individuals to receive public recognition, which goes against Chinese cultural values. Lastly, I want to say that your video is fantastic! Thank you.
Ive seen so many videos of Westerners travelling to China and enjoying the tech, the food, acenery, the history, and above all, the prices and hospitality that I get a little worried those people mess up and give us a bad name for acting entitled. As a Chinese local, I feel It's a pity that still so many hotels reject foreigners, just to keep them from trouble.
We luckily never got rejected anywhere except in that town. Our experience overall has been great and very easy 🙂
