You have no idea how grateful I am for your uploads. My mental health has been kind of at a rough point the last few weeks but watching your videos helps me forget that and I just get to sit back and enjoy how calm and genuine you are.
ryan its been 2 years since i started watching. From the alaskan conquest to all these random sidequests, i adore your videos. You have been such a positive light to look forward to in these hard times and I thank you for that. Stay safe and create the best memories ryan!
Hey there, Chef Ryan! Watching you cook up that Cajun seafood boil was almost as satisfying as trying to find gold in Southern California - almost! The way those clams popped open was like a tiny celebration in each pot. By the way, loved the apron - if you ever drop those limited edition WIP here aprons, count me in for one! Keep cooking up those adventures, looking forward to the next one!
Your videos provide me alot of comfort, I did van life 2 years ago, best times of my life. I live in alaska now, raising my baby on a homestead with my husband. Times are diffrent now, but it's so comforting to have a slice of that life again
Hey Ryan! Culinarian here The cut you're looking for is called, "On a bias". Which is the way of having slices have just a liiiittle bit more surface area. Works amazing when you're cooking on high heat with oil and more of the product is seared well. It also just looks fancy.
Hey Ryan, im 21 in the PH and I saw your channel a week ago and have binged almost half of your entire channel's videos. I really like your style of capturing your videos. I even bought a ps4pro last few days because of your chill content. I have been a PC gamer since I was only 3 and so far it has been nice playing COD. Also got back into cooking my own meals instead of ordering unhealthy fastfood. keep up the uploads! I'm always waiting for the next one lol.
Just finished this series of caravan videos, your vibe is super chill I like watching you cook been subscribed since the beginning you never disappoint.😊😊😊
They’re called bias cuts. I worked in kitchens as a prep and line cook in my earlier years and we are taught to cut things on a bias for presentation purposes. Iykyk. Thanks for your videos brah! 🫡
2:40.. I think about investing in a water heater as much as a refrigerator. How much power does yours consume and how long does it take to heat up? - It's a big ticket item, but I feel like on some days it would make all the difference in being actually comfortable or not.
Cutting the sausages on the bias increases the surface area that contacts the pan, which makes for more browning and that beautiful Maillard reaction. It also looks classy AF.
You need to invest in a bottle of liquid crab boil. Couple of cap full (2 Table spoons) And as Emeril would say "BAM!!!" I would be glad to care package you some from Louisiana.
That’s awesome you decided to try panning for some gold. Totally something we’d try. Definitely like that fun little gold panning kit. Good work with the boys and cooking up a boil and a drink. Perfect day dude! Hope to seen you on the road! 🙌
You should consider getting a Midland GMRS radio for the van! I used them with my buddies when we truck camp off-road. Has a handheld mic and works well. Easy to mount and won't swing and smack you into the face. Cheers man
Such an AMAZING reel! I love everything about your way of life. May I ask what type of van you travel in? So nice! Thank you for sharing your journey. 😊
Love your videos man, my favorite van youtuber out here. I just finished army basic and when I get out I’d love to spend some time just traveling like this. You’re living the dream brother and your videos never fail to make my day great!
Hello from Anne Arundel Co! Thanks for taking us all along for the great adventure. So your walkie talkie… how about velcroing it to the top of your side window/your visor/your dash instead of letting it swing free? Command strips?
I have had a poor 2024 a lot of bad stuff has happened and I’m struggling as are most. But man when I see you uploaded a new video, the world goes quiet and it puts my mind at ease and makes my day a thousand times better !
If you are not replacing your windshield anytime soon, consider putting a clear tape over it so it wont expand the crack while you drive. (coz you know the wind resistance can expand the crack)
HELLO RYAN, WHEN YOU OPENED UP THE VAN DOORS AT MINUTE 5.27, I GASPED AT HOW CLOSE AND ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS THE VIEW AND CAMP AREA WAS. VERY NICE CAMPING AREA CHOICE TO YOU GUYS. I REALLY LOVE WATCHING YOU COOK DURING YOUR VIDEOS MORE THAN ANYTHING. I DIDN’T CARE FOR TODAYS FOOD CHOICE AS I DON’T REALLY LIKE ANY FISH OR SEAFOOD BUT YOU STILL MADE IT DELICIOUS. IT’S CRAZY I HATE SEAFOOD AND I LIVE CLOSE TO THE OCEAN IN SAN DIEGO. LOOK FORWARD TO YOUR NEXT ADVENTURE AND STAY SAFE OUT THERE WHENEVER YOUR PATH TAKES YOU.
Being from very deep south louisiana (like any further you're in the gulf) I got very intrigued when I saw the title to this video, although im gonna have to say that this is one of those recipe's that was written in alabama and they wrote cajun on it to gain attention. But I still enjoyed the video just like always. Hopefully one day you can try some authentic cajun food.
to be fair I can almost cry from here over that black pepper onion lemon lol it sounds damn good. I've seen others talk about pre-mixing spices. You don't really seem to have an issue with clumping spices, but I like to pre-mix all my spices into a tiny glad container and pour it in at once, it helps with time/prep and it helps with clumping spice containers.
Ryan, thanks so much for your videos. Idk why or how but I feel comfortable watching you while winding down from a crazy job. I am SO going to try that seafood boil recipe. Looked really good. 👍 if you ever in Chicago, mi casa es su casa señor. Peace! ✌️
That river view from your van while you cooked the boils was gorgeous! next time, don't put that imitation crab in until the last few minutes, only to warm it up.
So glad you made rice, because I was thinking "rice would be the perfect compliment" and BOOM, your buddy came out with the rice. On a side note, it's so weird to see you in Bakersfield, and Lake Isabella, where my ol' Stompin grounds were growing up. Glad you got to experience what I did growing up. I could literally smell where your camp was.
I think a cook book would be a great idea! Although you use a lot of other peoples recipes, you often change a few ingredients just based off of accessibility and it still turns out great! It would also be as nice platform to highlight the people you got your recipes from like "inspired by, or recipe taken by ..." Putting your own spin on it yet giving the original credit where its due! Also maybe after the recipe, make a page summary on the trip or drive you made when you made the specific dish and of course add your own rating! Maybe even throw in a "Wipe Here" Apron in to the first 100-200 people that buy the book. Just some food for thought ;)
hey! we go camping by that area all the time, but where is this exactly? would love to take the fam there. thank you. and as always, love your videos and all he cooking ideas.
So sorry you missed the northern lights. Can only have sympathy and wish I weren't rubbing it in that I drove a few miles out of my town and was mind blown at what I could see even with the naked eye. So many pictures that in real life just looked like low hanging clouds. If you got way out of town (kind of like you were) it was truly incredible. At least it was here in WY!
I started watching from your Alaska adventure and find your videos relaxing and mood uplifting which is great ! Watching from the U.K. and it’s great to see how life differs from here in the U.K. Thank you for the content! ☺️ PS. Kyle is 🔥. 🤪 🙈
Panning for gold looks like it may be something that's fun and interesting for about 20 minutes. It's cool to see they have low commitment starter kits available for panning. Your meal looks delicious as usual.
Ryan you may not have struck it rich while panning for gold but you definitely scored big time on that seafood boil. I could almost taste it through the screen!! Your mobile chef skills are becoming legendary in the vanlifer world. You rock bro💯👍
From seeing the videos of yours I realize I need to get my 02 ramvan fixed by the end of summer/fall to get out of New England and see some of the places I've seen in your vids
crablegs cooked you canput in bowl then when rest done put broth n hit stuffn9n n itbwill heat crabmeat n have more room in pot for more shrimp n class. I have I think its 3qt pit for camping making soups n bigger meals or broths meals
You have no idea how grateful I am for your uploads. My mental health has been kind of at a rough point the last few weeks but watching your videos helps me forget that and I just get to sit back and enjoy how calm and genuine you are.
I hope your mental health gets better! Praying for you 🤗❤️🩹
You have no idea How grateful i am to YOU. Thank you for the support. What is your email? Ill get some free merch sent your way ❤️
God bless!
Calm down
The Lord is your Shepherd ❤️

You eat better in a van than we do at home. 😂
Ryan should get a screen zipper door on his van door, like his chill buddy!
That 'stache is going to automatically force Pedro Pascal to play Ryan in 'Vanlife: The Movie"
Bye! 😂😂😂❤
Hey Ryan! Culinarian here
The cut you're looking for is called, "On a bias". Which is the way of having slices have just a liiiittle bit more surface area. Works amazing when you're cooking on high heat with oil and more of the product is seared well.

Does life get better than a FRESH RYAN UPLOAD!?
We have to wait a lot these days to see a new video from him. :( I really miss it when he uploaded a video per day.

Not just presentation, it also allows the surface to cook faster.

also the vibes from this vid is immaculate. Gets me hyped for some road tripping this summer
Here for another incredible RyanTwomey video! Have a good day everyone!
I have watched you're videos for a while.. and couldn't believe how much I look forward to them.. Thank you Ryan from Montana..
Also a small tip. Cutting food packages with your knife is one of the fastest ways to make it dull. So try to avoid it to extend your knife's life
He has a sharpener for his knives.
@@alana6304 your knife has a certain amount of sharpenings before its completely destroyed
panning for gold felt like kids playing with sand, its so wholesome
Always excited for a new ryan video (more mini truck build videos soon please)

Oh Ryan,
Don't ever be ashamed of the choices you make in life. Because, choices can always change. ❤
Thanks for another video! I like watching your adventures.
That does look like a fun trip even if no nuggets are found. The evening meal and relaxing would make it a good complete day.

“I couldn’t tell if the smell was the river or the cooking” 🤣 that made me laugh. Ahh the smells of VanLife. Great video Ryan.
This has become my comfort channel. Thanks for your videos, Ry!
Yes to the aprons!!! Also I love your content!! Don’t stop please !!
Hate when you miss epic stuff in space 'cause of sleep, Northern Lights in SoCal must've been insane!

Such an AMAZING reel! I love everything about your way of life. May I ask what type of van you travel in? So nice! Thank you for sharing your journey. 😊

Lovely videos we have thoroughly enjoyed it. My wife has been following you since the beginning. ❤ I see why ! You’re awesome 👏 thank you 😊
*Cooking seafood in the van?!* That's... brave. 😯The panning looked fun.
Man that Spot you guys had looked like Heaven
Hello from Anne Arundel Co! Thanks for taking us all along for the great adventure. So your walkie talkie… how about velcroing it to the top of your side window/your visor/your dash instead of letting it swing free? Command strips?
CHEF RYAN IS BACK!
Just logged in and caught this before discord notified me, perfect timing!
Ryan, I watch all your videos and I am going through a rough time. Your videos are great and I hope you stay safe and continue sharing your journey.
Doesn’t get more calm than a great night with an upload from Ryan! Keep striving bro 💯

I'm supporting this channel from south Africa and I enjoy watching
HELLO RYAN,

I looooove Gold panning. Please do more. I try to do it when I can.

Whatever happened to your egg seasoning mix that you were going to release? Is this still the plan?
I always look forward to your uploads dude, they help motivate me to go outside and fight this depression I'm going through!
Thank you for making content, bro!
Always a good day when a new Ryan video comes out ❤
Yayyy an upload 🤘🏻 my husband and I love these videos!!!
Still can't believe you missed the Northern Lights in SoCal, man. Crazy sight to miss! 🌌
So glad to see you post another day 🔥
Ryan, thanks so much for your videos.
I’m in Northern California (Bay Area) and while I could see a hazy pink tint in the sky, it wasn’t nearly as dramatic as it looked on camera.
Ah imitation crab killed me 😭😭
You found me? What am I doing in Ryan’s vanlife videos? Lol 😂😂😂😂
Another great Ryan special. Great looking meal as well.
Panning for gold looks like it may be something that's fun and interesting for about 20 minutes. It's cool to see they have low commitment starter kits available for panning.
Your meal looks delicious as usual.
Dude,..I love your easy peasy breakfast that you make!
I missed the Arora also and i live in Montana. Sad day.
Take those left overs over some cajun cream liguini and then a nap, lol! Great video! You know we gotta have that Old Bay!
Haven’t watched a video of yours in about 2 months. I gotta say you’re looking slim, keep it up Ryan!
It was gold fines in the black sand. You need to dig deeper between the rocks and you can find the bigger fines, flakes or nuggets.
Ryan you may not have struck it rich while panning for gold but you definitely scored big time on that seafood boil. I could almost taste it through the screen!! Your mobile chef skills are becoming legendary in the vanlifer world. You rock bro💯👍
You need to get yourself a Rinse kit. The heater is built right in. Maybe you can get them to sponsor you or send you a free one for review.
I miss that string of daily uploads when you were on one of your road trips last year. You really spoiled us
This is amazing I just had a sea food cajun boil last week
Are you going to try to fish since your around water alot and make your own food? its just a thought
Damn i wish you would have found some gold... you do so many cool things!
Ryan where did you get that knife 🔪? Can you link thx. And this gold panning spot looks relaxing 😎
Cutting sausage like that is called cutting on the bias. It's for presentation and also to make more surface area for sauces to stick.
always looking forward to your vids
From seeing the videos of yours I realize I need to get my 02 ramvan fixed by the end of summer/fall to get out of New England and see some of the places I've seen in your vids
Gotta say thank you for your ac sheet comforter trick I use it with my wave 2 because my cruise and comfort destroys my battery
We missed it too…. To bright in Tucson AZ
Another Ryan upload, realise I’m a day late 😂 quality work as always mate, love your videos. ❤
You should get a tiny propane gas heater for instant hot water for showering / washing dishes
Usually cut sausage links like that to maximize surface area for a nice sear per piece and it looks better that little rounds haha
I guess the sear would be a non reason in your case since it was a boil
crablegs cooked you canput in bowl then when rest done put broth n hit stuffn9n n itbwill heat crabmeat n have more room in pot for more shrimp n class. I have I think its 3qt pit for camping making soups n bigger meals or broths meals
Awesome content as always😁
Yay I am excited to watch your video ❤🇨🇦
I legit clicked for that cooking view. ( But I always click anyway). Food looks great. Thanks for Sharing!
We cut sausage two ways. Hot at an angle and mild straight across so we can tell which is which
seafood looked good dude
Filling the pots with water POV style kinda got me excited
What brand of Imitation Crab is that? It looks delicious.
