Yes Gerrit was the brick packer developer as I interviewed him in a previous brickslingers episode.

    The paperbags are soo annoying...
You have to really pay attention or you will have pieces remain in the bags :/

Yes, I too have received the invite. Haven’t taken up the offer yet, but seriously considering it. Bulk plates purchase for MILS plates, yes that was my guess too…
Right on to the K+D/ D+K music channel!
So, still waiting on BCC IV to arrive (though have ordered BCC V - due out on June 14th according to Amazon) so had to rearrange listening schedule and so obviously instead of Hughes / Bonamassa I played Mike Oldfield.
No, I can’t come up with any reason to justify that decision (though I think Oldfield is a vastly underrated guitarist and not everyone is aware of Joe but this a bit of a tenuous link 😉). So, didn’t play the one album that Oldfield is known for, and listened instead to Crises (probably my favourite) and Five Miles Out (which probably ties as my second favourite alongside Incantations).
Also played the new(ish) Thunder album Dopamine; stage usual solid fare from Bowles and Morely et al (but I always feel Thunder peaked with their debut album 😁). Umm, that sounds like I have a downer on the band, which I don’t, I have seen them play live on several occasions and had a good time at all their gigs.
Right, that’s enough ramblings for a Sunday evening, you’ve probably got some orders to pick, see you next week.

Not really sure what the invite gets you. I took that a number of people would be selected based on their responses. I guess we'll see in time.
Right, let's get right into the real meat of our chat.
Not a lot of experience with Mike Oldfield to be honest. I'd always written him off after TB (not the disease). Another to add to my "Dan's recommendations" list. Now, thunder was much more in my ballpark. Seen them a handful of times and have always loved Danny's energy on stage. Much like you though, I think the first album was their peak and it was always gonna be hard to match. I see there is also a new "Live in Leeds" album though not heard it yet. As for me, I've been going through Kevin Moore's post Dream Theatre projects (I love OSI stuff and much of the Chroma Key too). It's really unlike anything else I know of. Also listened to some Enchant and tons of old stuff via a randomised playlist. I have been doing something you might find a little odd though. I have dug all my old ticket Stubs out and started adding them to a timeline which I'm finding really interesting, to see who I saw first and in what order. A little bit sad I know, but it makes me happy. Till next week...

Haven't come across a paper bag yet, but I know it will cause issues down the road. Is the set number on the outside of the bag? How do you sell an open box set? How do you know that bag goes to that set? I buy a lot of bulk lots of sealed bags to random sets, I can be choosey now because I can tell what is on the bags. With paper I won't be able to do that. It would be a total chance of what you're buying

They have the set number I believe and a unique bag number. They also have a QR code on the bag but not tried them to see what that links to.

I don't think Lego are at all interested in any of those potential issues. They sell Lego sets for consumers to buy and assemble themselves. Making it easier for re-sellers is not their goal. There are a lot of better ways to improve the environment than getting rid of plastic bags, but it's a trendy thing to do at the moment, so Lego want to look like they're doing a good thing.

Another interesting video, I like to see what's going on behind the scenes, but I think you don't fully appreciate the effects of random fluctuations in your order numbers and amounts. Comparing one week to another or period of this month or last month is quite meaningless when you have so few observations each time, and one or two outliers can completely skew the results. You often try to explain observed differences, but I'm sure most of it would be completely expected given the hypothesis that it is a very constant rate with a large amount of random fluctuation that shouldn't/cannot be explained. I guess you need something to talk about, so I hope it's more that which is your motivation than you actually believing that the post-hoc theorizing is valid.

Thanks! As you suggest it's more a case of having something to say and none of it is planned or scripted so it's often the case of what comes out in the mix. If I were to compare periods seriously I would back it up with some statistical information but there are so many fluctuating factors it's often not that meaningful.
