I feel so unbelievably bad for Mark and Debbie, I’ve never wanted to give 2 characters a hug this badly. For Mark it’s not just his father but his hero, for Debbie it’s the love of her life and the father of her child. Also, learning that according to Angstrom Levy, in most universes Invincible actually joins Omni-Man and conquers earth is actually terrifying. Especially after seeing how in the first alternate universe we saw Mark becomes as much of a cold blooded sociopath as Nolan.
@@emosam07 my theories are that Nolan told him when he was younger and and more malleable, or something happened to Debbie and convinced Mark humanity needs to be ruled with an iron fist
@@emosam07I think Mark just got his powers early in most other dimensions, causing Nolan to tell him about the real story behind viltrum earlier and consequently managed to brainwash him to join him
@@emosam07 I have 2 theories. 1) Nolan actually convinced Mark when he was a younger and more malleable child. 2) Mark loses someone he loves to either a supervillain or a normal human and like Injustice Superman decides the Viltrum Empire is right.
thats probably gonna be explained in a few seasons. I havent read the comic since i was like 14 but i remember that it was awhile before its explained. But theyve already changed alot so dont take my word for law.
such a great react to such an amazing series! The writers stayed in the appropriate lane with this new season opener and i love the continuity and details called back to from season one. Like the suit bulletproof is wearing is the same suit the maker offered to mark because no one had bought/chosen it. This series is top tier
12:39 Angstrom Levy really shows what Prometheus stands for, human striving (particularly the quest for scientific knowledge) and the risk of overreaching or unintended consequences. For instance: In particular (in the Romantic era), Prometheus was regarded as embodying the lone genius whose efforts to improve human existence could also result in tragedy.
I absolutely loved this episode BUT we do NOT need another multiverse show or movie. We are getting multiverse fatigue already with MCU. However, if the Multiverse Guy was just using that as his powers then that’s very interesting. But there’s no reason for Mark to meet the other Mark. His life is already complicated and amazingly messy enough with his father and now this new villain.
Yeah I was also wondering where Mark's friends William is but I am glad they focused a lot around the aftermath and how Mark and his mother are affected by it.
You guys should totally watch voltron it was Steven Yuen’s first vo series and he knocked it out of the park the whole series is spectacular from start to finish
9:25 he really did tho, me may not have beat his dad physically but he beat him mentally, was able to get in his head and make him fly away crying. That’s a W in my book
I’m the end the scene mirrors the beginning. Immortal doesn’t trust mark after the events of season 1. Not only did he die twice but also all the destruction Omniman caused.
Idk if anyone noticed but, everytime anyone says invincible in the first episode, they pause before hand to make you think the title screen will play. You can check back… every single time the word invincible is said..Up until the last scene!! I think its brilliant!
The use of Karma Police was so well done. It’s been in my head nonstop since, and I think of that montage and its emotions every time. I probably always will.

Damn poor Angstrom, If Invincible hadn't have got involved he would have created this utopia. He was actually a really good guy, and in fact Invincible is the anomaly since in most universes hes evil.
I really do like Invincible and Omni Man's powers. They aren't doing extremely flashy stuff like Superman such as eye beams and whatnot. They're just EXTREMELY strong and fast
What I find interesting in this episode is that Mark blame himself and doesnt try to justify the cause at all. While everyone else do. And his father did. I wonder if later Mark actually will turn against humanity and viltrumites because its all the same everywhere. You save some, you kill some. Maybe he will be idealist

That Giant had me cracking up when he said "Why are you so mean to me?".🤣 This was a nice start to Season 2. I hate that the Maulers messed things up by not listening to the guy. If they had just told Invincible what they were doing he might've thought about it and talk to the guy in the chair more about it since he was still able to hold a conversation during the process. Things might have gone differently, but something good like that for all universes was somehow going to get screwed up. Humans always find a way to mess up something that could benefit the world by destroying something or reverse engineering something to destroy. that montage with radioheads "Karma Police" playing, was absolutely genius and I loved how the lyrics synced up to what mark is feeling...
I don’t think I’ll ever hear this song again without thinking of that montage and its emotions. Incredibly well used.
Fun Fact: Robert Kirkman's first pitch for the name of Invincible comics is Bulletproof.
