I thought gamepad mode was broken like four years ago when I first tried it with my roller but this is somehow worse, I'll stick to all taps if I ever go back to using roller
Gamepad mode is designed for controller play like a DualShock, Xbox controller, DK bongos etc. and so you don’t need to strum with gamepad mode. The way gamepad mode is designed, you don’t have to press each individual button if it’s a long strumming pattern because it allows you to anchor the strum note and just press buttons under the anchor like tap notes. Gamepad mode also doesn’t have any overtap protection so your input can overtap much more than on any other mode. The reason this is broken is because you can use it with a guitar and it makes sliding, tech strumming with hopos, and straight line strumming much much easier as you can see if the video.
Yes, but at the time of me uploading this video, there were cheating allegations about a top player using gamepad mode to achieve top level accomplishments. I just uploaded this to make fun of the situation.
If you press the start button while in the songs list, you can go down to gamepad mode, and turn it on. Gamepad mode is for player who use console controller like the DualShock. So any input on gamepad mode acts as a strum, making this possible

@@mexicanitachi sounds like you might have gamepad mode on. Next time you go into the game, select your profile, press start, and look for gamepad mode. Check to make sure it’s off
The context to this video is there was an investigation into a player some thought were cheating. They thought this player was using gamepad mode to claim insane fcs (he was proven to have not used gamepad mode for anything). Now the reason I made this video was to show that there is absolutely no protection to stop someone from using gamepad mode with a guitar.
you look like Dave Grohl in his early Nirvana stages.

@@LilBroncho sooo it just makes it easy to hit literally anything (not LITERALLY you know what i mean)
@@WasRockyHere just about yeah, however if your guitar has an overtapping problem to begin with, it makes quads and quints very inconsistent.
@@LilBroncho ah alr
gamepad mode should just strum on key

Idk if it's my controller or the engine but whenever I strum it doesn't do anything and misses the note
@@mexicanitachi does your strum bar do anything in the menu?
