Gene I can't thank you enough for one of your videos where you said if you've never caught fish in a jig go out with nothing but jigs and keep trying until you catch one. I did that and I'm now hooked on jig fishing. Thanks again for the teaching tip. You're the best!!!
Thanks for being such a great instructor and continue to help me keep myself sober.😊 People like you are the ones that really make the difference in the world.
Churned mud with the trolling motor. Caught two 5 lb largemouth in a foot of water. Both on a chartreuse n white chatter bait. Thanks for the tips. Go Dawgs!
I watched this video yesterday morning before hitting the lake. Because of this I tied on my “OG” chrome rattletrap. Best day EVER! 38 bass in the boat. A 4 pounder destroyed my hooks. Thank God I had a spare to keep crankin em in. Thanks!
Man these videos make me want to move further south lol, but thanks to Gene I can still catch fish in this cold midwest water on ned rigs, jerk baits, and jigs!
I live in northeast Missouri and not all these baits work as well like it does in the south. 50s and lows in the high to mid 30s has forced the fish deep.
What a great practical video prepping for Fall. Thanks a lot. Hope to go out this weekend and fish my grassy lake to try out your suggestions. I follow 4 different guys and think you are the most practical ( and useful of the group).
What about a shakey head with a worm? LOL I have just been obliterating bass on shakey head in louisiana. We got a lil cold front right now and they haven’t been reacting to anything else for me.
Great video and great information and I've been wondering where you have been haven't seen you on lately. You are my favorite guy to watch on TH-cam about fishing because you teach me a lot ! I live in Illinois and the water here is very cold already and I don't fish in the Winter my last fishing is October October maybe November . Wish I was down South so I could fish in the warmer waters and I can go fishing with you would love to , Keep up the great work brother !!
FlukeMaster and Wired2Fish are my favorite fishing channels by far. Actually gene I’m on lanier. Maybe you could throw me some tips fishing in November up the chattahoochee
Awesome info I was looking up winter fishing tips little did I know IT’S NOT WINTER 😂😂😂 I just thought November was the beginning on winter but it’s not even close
Been killin em here lately, with the white and pink hue googan swim jig. Question, if you’re fishing first light, you start on the shady bank or the bank hit by the sun first? Brother and I argue over this. Lol
I'd just like to comment on the "matching the bait" or " matching the hatch" ..if there's a shad bait ball with 50 thousands silver shad in it,, I'm throwing something that doesn't look like the other 49.999 shad,,,a red rattletrap will get you more looks than a shad looking bait...
Hey Gene I am new to your channel I just subscribed. I am also new to lake fishing. I am having trouble finding fish in Caddo & Cross lake(Shreveport area. I believe you was here kayak fishing) I am finding shad in the pockets and channels but the bass aren't there with them? I've been throwing chopos, frogs, spinners, squarebills, swim baits... And nada..Help please Flukemaster.
Gene what up Brotha , I wanna say thank you for your content I have a lot from you.. And Gene have you tried any JDM baits ? If you haven't & decide to try one please do a video & review on it..
He's sponsored by 13 Fishing, a Japanese company. The Trash Panda he recommended here as well as the pitching bait were both from 13- and so is the Jabber jaw. They market their stuff both here and in Japan- but so does Mega Bass, Deps, Lucky craft, etc. I think 13 offers everything here though, I don't think they have any products that are only for the JDM.
No disrespect intended but would it kill ya to let us have a better look at the baits you're using? Supposed to be a helpful hint/advice kind of video right? For the novice who doesn't know the terminology and stuff you're not doing any favors

Shaky heads work year round man- they're an every month bait. Shaky heads and ned rigs- I fish them both all year.

Bass will start their winter transition when the water gets down to the low 50's.

Could you add the colors in the description for each lure.
