He did not hate Indians like the liberal media wants you to believe. In fact he admired their way of life. It it were not Custer at the Little Big Horn, it would have been Gen. Miles, Gibbon, Terry, or Crook. The U.S. government, spurred on by the settlers, wanted the plains areas safe for farming and grazing, and the nomads had to be removed.
