I'm glad you found this series. It's surprisingly involved and we get to know the ENTIRE student cast, not like shows like MHA where you get a handful of characters you know well and the rest kind of fade into the background.
Really good beginning and extremely solid finale. The middle parts are a little bit more murky though, especially as anime have stalled few times to fill up the episode quota.
This show is carried on by the funny craziness of Koro-sensei, but the students (and not just them) are the focal point, among the series that amaze and leave their mark. Enjoy it.

It's actually arguable what would happen, if this happened in real life. The crescent likely would collapse under its own weight or opposite - without enough mass to keep the spherical structure, it could be ripped apart by Earth's gravity into rings and later slowly falling onto the planet. Other scenario could be that Moon would ricochet back into Earth. Possibilities are many - you will see, which scenario story have picked. 13:25 Point-blank explosions can still harm humans. BB guns aren't deadly, but still can do a lot of damage - a handmade grenade will cause damage.

I love Assassination Classroom but it's more of a "Slice of life" type of anime. After 1 episode you'll think it's more of like action shounen but overall if you don't have any expectations it's a really good anime overall. I think it would be more "mainstream" if they cut the story and all seasons into 24 or heck even 12 episodes. But overall i have great memories with this anime and the finale of it makes it worth watching.
Well to be fair, the shit hits because its long and those "slice of life" moments help build attachment to the characters. U make 12 ep outta them and all u will have is One freshly baked rushed pile of garbage.
Now that I think about it, 10 Billion Yen ain't even that much of a reward to kill a creature that will kaboom the Earth. You can only buy like two Raptor Jets with that money.
