So here's a little breakdown on the Ghoul's biological detail for you Neel!
- Ghouls are.. actually just HUMAN! The only different between them is the amount of RC cells they posses! While Humans have an average number of RC cells at 200-300, the Ghouls have at least 500-1000, some high level Ghouls like Rize have much higher number at over 1500. And some of them even exceed the number of 5000!
- Then, what is these RC cells?? They're explained as a part of the digest system that collect energy from the foods you consume to charge up the body! The more RC cells they have, the more energy they needs, meaning the more food they would have to consume. Thus also mean, the more RC cells a Ghoul posses, the more powerful they are!! That would explain why stronger Ghouls need more flesh, because their body consume energy faster than low power Ghouls who only have to hunt one prey every 1 or 2 months!
- That's also explain why Ghouls only eat human flesh! Fresh flesh are nutrition rich, this is also the reason why we have to eat 3 meals a day, while wild predatory animals don't eat after their latest meals for days, weeks or months!! Then, why did Ghouls didn't just eat animals flesh instead of human's?? That will relate to evolutionary reason!! These Ghouls were not some kind of strange demons, they're Humans with needs for fresh meats. Which mean that they must have been evolve with regular Humans through out the entire history! With that amount of time, they've learned that hunt Humans is easier then hunt wild animals, so they have evolve to specifically aimed for Humans. Like how Vampire Bats evolve to feed only on blood, can't consume either fruits or meat!!

Just a bit of additional random fact/s, specially about flesh being nutrition rich. Humans have a variety of diet and pretty much gets a variety of nutrition and vitamins (by eating a variety of meals/cuisines). The most nutritious part should be the brain as all vitamins and nutrition we get are processed there and redistributed to necessary areas (and brain also needs a lot of energy and nutrition to function at its best). Being rich in vitamins and nutrition also means being rich in flavor. Pretty much, the brain is the tastiest and most nutritious part. Well... there's an illness that we could get through cannibalism with the highest rate to get by eating the brain.
Survivalists suggests though that the hardest part would be to go through the morale barriers. As such, "dehumanizing" is suggested. Basically, in the most extreme situation where there's no other alternative, starting at the farthest away from the "humanized part" (face) is recommended. The thigh being meaty and away from "human part" is usually recommended.
So technically they couldn't try to find a way to lower rc cells from ghouls so they don't need it anymore?

When I think of Tokyo Ghoul I think of Gigguks Tokyo Ghoul in 5 minutes due to "Fuck yeah she wants to have me for dinner.... OH GOD SHE'S HAVING ME FOR DINNER"
It disturbs me that these are legitimately some of the best episodes of the series lol. Such a great concept adapted so poorly at so many points. Still a fun watch though, looking forward to the infamous scene! Hope you don't get copyright struck again before we get there :)

what annoys me is you people dont have the same energy for FMA brotherhood and such when they did in my view a worse job as at least tokyo goul went its own rout enough to still give us moments with the characters and such to get to know them in FMA brotherhood and even shows like the shaman king remake they cut all of that out so yes we have manga plot points but idc about the characters at all and it all feels hollow

Nah, this is the same video re-uploaded for the third time. Copyright strikes for this show are still a significant problem. As you've probably noticed, very few videos or reactions of this are still up on TH-cam. I've watched at least five different channels react to this, and their first episode/reaction was removed before they could even finish season 1.

If you didn’t read the manga, this is not a bad series, if you read the manga, you were pissed at how dirty the animators did this anime. The story is so much richer than the anime gave. There were crucial parts that were axed and how they messed up the end of first season really just alienated the fans of the manga.

12:09 been a long time since I watched it but you know what, you might be onto something there. Surely there were some evidence suggesting she was a ghoul when they found the 2 of them, with the doctor saying at 9:46 it might also suggest they know she's a ghoul(or it could be the whole taking organs from someone that might not be an organ donor or talking to their next of kin or whatever being illegal), that along with the fact that he says food doesn't taste good anymore and it being a known thing that human food is foul to ghouls definitely points to the doctor knowing Kaneki is now a ghoul.
Maybe I should bite the bullet and finish the show, just that the future seasons felt like such a letdown to watch.
