ANSYS Mechanical APDL - Simply Supported Beam Analysis - Uniformly Distributed Load (UDL)

Simply supported beam with uniformly distributed load (UDL) is analyzed in ANSYS Mechanical APDL (MAPDL) using 1D element BEAM188 in ANSYS.
The results including Shear Force Diagram (SFD) and Bending Moment Diagram (BMD), max deflection and stress are compared to analytical solution (hand calculation) to build confidence ​in Finite Element Analysis (FEA) especially when using ANSYS.

Hello! When I apply pressure in the beam it goes in Z direction not in the Y direction like you.

Watch 4:12 and try LKEY = 2. It may be because your element orientation is different from video
