It is my understanding that if you sell skin products (chapstick in this case), you would need an insurance to sell skin products. I was doing research about making soap, etc that where I came across plus the fb group. I wouldn’t mind the printing part but adding the chapstick terrify me.
Low barrier yes but sellers are becoming lazy too! They only want to sell digital because it’s easier although the real money, growth and competitive edge is in physical products IMO
I wish we could have a higher max ad budget. My views are good but I know they could be better. Question... do you think it's a bad thing that most of my sales have switched from seo to ad sales?
Hi Hannah, a quick advice if possible? Today I made a listing which was immediately deactivated by Etsy as soon as I pressed publish! I’m so confused. Nothing about it is trademarked and I can see other listings who use the same titles and similar designs in that same niche. I tried posting it again, changing tags, title and re-arranging the order of mock ups but same thing happened. Has that ever happened to you? I wish there was a customer service I could ask why?
I'm just confused how someone could make profit on etsy. It seems like a lot of funding and no profit. The fees and ad cost is crazy. I mentioned etsy to my financial ladies that's helping me and she chuckled so that was discouraging. She basically said there isn't any profit unless you have 20 people producing a product line and you didn't pay all the fees
mmm so the trade off is to open a store on shopify and unless you are a content creator where you own your own traffic source from your social media that means you are paying for traffic and the cost to acquire a customer with ads is 10x higher then etsy as of today. So I would say out of shopify or amazon or faire or ebay etsy is by far the cheapest and easiest to get into
Not even sure that I want you to sell on Etsy from listening to all the problems that sellers are having and the big thing is that Etsy doesn’t communicate with there Sellers!!
Yeah, I mean with anything as it becomes more competitive It’s definitely less fun, but it’s like that no matter what business you start you know what I mean.

I feel like most etsy sellers do not do this but I am sure you could add insurance and you would be fine or pay to get your products lab tested

I agree !
Is it normal that my “bestseller” does really well getting regular sales but not good “roas” as far as ads? I find it odd!
yes that is normal I would not turn the ad off for it, I have a video on dead listings that I explain how I turn on and off my ads for etsy listings

What was the frequency of your sales before ads?
@@EcomHannah they were maybe 25% of my sales. Now they're like 75% off my sales.

Are you doing print on demand?
They used to have a direct number you could call I believe

Correction. The word “you” was not meant to be in there …spell ✅
