This dialect is the one that neither standard basque speakers understand lol. There are two dialects of basque in France; the "lapurtera", which became the litterary dialect of basque de facto and seems more to the standardized basque, and this "xiberera", which is spoken in the Pyrenees and in my opinion is the sweetest dialect of our language. Is a song about the intromision of Jeanne's father in the love relationship of her with Mixel. According to a research, the father finally let her marry Mixel. 😁 Greetings from Gipuzkoa! This song is in the Zuberoan, or Souletin dialect of Basque, and is the only dialect to contain the letter Ü

Leo su precioso comentario mientras escucho la canción y, aunque me tengo por poco sentimental, un extraño picor ha humedecido mis ojos, gracias Jean.

This is phenomenal, certainly one of the most unique songs I’ve heard even among those in Basque.
Cheers for the video mate. I'm of Basque descend! Lol. I believe this is the dialect my family spoke ( on the French side). Cheers mate!

very similar to Georgian
I've listened to that example a couple of times. As a basque I would like to know where. Just curious.

I was looking for my lover's grave
I didn't see it... it was lost!...
I complained heartily:
"Where are you my Suliko?!"
I noticed a rose in a thorn
to grow up an orphan;
I asked with a pain of heart:
"Aren't you Souliko?!"
Kokob as a sign of consent
He shook his head...
Snow-pearl celestial
He threw it down in tears.
Soulful nightingale
to hide in the leaves;
I agreed with Chituna:
"Aren't you Souliko?!"
Mgosani was afraid.
He touched the flower with his beak,
chirped
As if to say: "Yes, yes!"
More than a love song.... I see it a deeply spiritual connection, free of religion!
Long live the Basque people!
Where did you get the free of religion part from? lol
can a verison be more disgusting
