This seems to be a very interesting place, I hope I can visit sometime in the future. Seeing and sharing places like this is why I love traveling and make videos so much!
The tax rate is reasonable but my understanding is that you are taxed on worldwide income & they don't have tax treaties with Canada or the US so you could end up paying a hefty amount of tax if you earn income in other jurisdictions...
They don't check what u have made in other countries .. just pay taxes on Montenegro income that's it ..they is no way they know u are making other sources of income .
Michael, since your wife is Montenegrin, I'm not sure if you were able to pursue residency or citizenship, but if you get temporary residency through a company and you can't be present for all the time that the government wants you to be present, do they refuse to renew your temporary residency? Thanks, Michael, and keep up the great work.
Apparently, a D visa application must be submitted for work residence, and this application must be made from abroad. Do you know why it is so difficult for Iranians to agree to this request?
Can you get a one year visa extension from inside the country, which is reasonable? Otherwise it's just another place to spend 90 days in every 180 days. Albeit I guess you can switch back and forth between living in Dubrovnik 90 days and living in Bar 90 days, correct? Can I go to Dubrovnik to apply and sleep that night in my place in Montenegro?
I'm a 28-year-old seeking to create an LLC with my girlfriend to create a real estate company (for acquiring, renting out and eventually selling property). We want to have various approaches to real estate (REIT stocks, international holdings and Agricultural) and have this as another revenue stream for us as we get older. We would also like this as a Plan B residency door (using a Montenegrin company) while living in Georgia (essentially 1-3 Months in Montenegro; yes I know we'd have to reapply for a permit) but i've been advised I have some structural problems here. Is it really just if you intend to live there for most of the year OR a side company with limited expansion? Is it because there's too much of a proposed load for Montenegrin banks to be the primary real estate company with international investments? I also saw that one may need a place to stay for a residency (not much sense if I'm in Georgia most of the time). What's a good offshore jurisdiction for a real estate company that may have immigration benefits? We will start small but hope to build over many years. Thanks Mike!! Fellow Canuck here
@@MichaelRosmer hi michael how much is the cost of building a business like digital nomad there and residency. 2 adults and 2 small kids how much is your charge
I wish you had given actual numbers, “fairly cheaply” or “semi stringent” could mean anything. How much exactly does it cost to open a company? How many days exactly per year do they require you to be there?
Can I as a foreign Company director/Residency in Montenegro leave around 90 days or less at different times in a Year for Business or personal reasons travel out of Montenegro, will it affect My future PR and citizenship ? " how many days will it allow to stay out of Montenegro within 5 Years or every year count ? and where should i get the permission when I leave the Montenegro ? What about if I travel to another EU Country is there any Restriction for the Days ? And can I continue the PR or Citizenship Process ??
When I'm old I don't want to have to leave the country for one day just to renew the visa. I also don't want to get married. So what are the conditions once you get permanent residency but don't want to get citizenship since unfortunately in 2006 Australia stopped allowing dual citizenship.
How is the technology market in Montenegro. Is it easy and cheap to buy technological products like, cellphones, PC devices, video games. I also have an automation/cosmetic small company that I would like to take to Montenegro if here in my country the economy colapses. Is it a good country for working with cosmetic products?
Would it be feasible to just save up your money and then come there on temporary residence and keep yourself afloat on that? I know the local job market is poor, so if you were just coasting on savings and/or possibly working some remote online job, would that be sustainable? I live in the US and hate it here and would love to just hoard a huge pile of money for a few years then use it to cruise onto permanent residency over there since the money will be worth more in their country.
My degree and experience mean almost fuck all in Australia. My Montenegrin partner and I plan to move there in 4 years. He's an engineer but I never got quals in Australia. Any tips? I was planning maybe uni in Montenegro since it's free??
University might be a good idea, but state universities are taught in local language, so you’d need to be fluent in Montenegrian. I also don’t think they’re free for foreigners. Maybe some private universities offer programs in English.
You can find detailed information about the types of residency in Montenegro and how to get them here montenegroguides.co/residence/permit/#get-your-montenegrin-residence-permit
1.What job would there by available for foreigners who speak mediocre serbian? 2. Are universities free for foreigners? 3. Are there volunteering organisations/ social services organisations that where I could volunteer? 4. So if I want permanent residency, I need to first apply as a temporary resident and not leave the country for more than 30 days at a time or 30 days of the year for 5 years? 5. So I keep my aussie income and the dividends get paid into a Montenegrin bank account? Cheers :)
1. I'd say that the local job market is very poor, and there are not enough good jobs for locals let alone foreigners. Even if you get a job locally it will pay very little. A sector that might be interesting to foreigners with a little bit of local language is the tourism industry. 2. No, generally they are not free for foreigners, and most of them teach in the local language so you'd need to be decent at it before enrolling. 3. Yes, there are. More and more of them keep popping up every year so this is good. :) 4. You can get a permanent residency after extending your temporary one each year, for 5 years. I think that you shouldn't leave the country for more than 30 days each given year, but I'm not sure that they actually enforce this rule. 5. Yes this can work!
Really trying hard to get out to canada. Montenegro bulgaria georgia macedonia is on our list. Mid 30's couple. Dont need to work locally. Best option for money tranfer, banking, easier path to resident permit? Keep inspiring us leaving north america;)
@@OffshoreCitizen I know that in Serbia there are a few companies that like to advertise in English so a good English level is a must. Though that would be work online. I think perhaps I could work online and volunteer in Montenegro and surrounding countries.

We heard that Luštica Bay was in the process of qualifying for CBI in Montenegro.
Yes, that seems to be the case. Which is good because that whole development is pretty good and modern.
you didn't explain the residence program.

Do you have to live in montenegro to keep your residency? Or can you live in a different country and still keep the residency?
You need to live part of the year in Montenegro you can't just have it sitting.

How are the lockdowns right now in Montenegro
From what I’ve heard it’s pretty relaxed at the moment.
I've heard practically everyone has gotten the virus and people can go to schools and work places as per normal.
Do they check the office and official bank transition for the renewal or we can pay tax get renewed the card please tell.....
Are you saying that there is a trend of scams with foreigners in Eastern Euorpean countries?
Super
