    I hope he lowers his commision rate, cause the factor is its a 5hr dollar minimum job wage. 25 comission fee, fare drop recently and drivers get paid the same which is unfair cause you take less home. Cancellation fee, uber takes about 50% instead of 25% as advertised. You have to take an account of the wear, miles which depreciates your car, gas, insurance and snacks. You also have to put money aside from your earning to pay your taxes. The surge pricing for passengers is unfair, they can manipulate the far at any given time.

    He says that the Taxi driver doesn't own the Taxi which was fine with me that way I didn't ruin my car and I made good money when I drove Taxi something you can't do driving for any of these app companies the only ones making money are the app companies

    Uber helps 99% of people. Nothings perfect but to act like this guy’s some villain is just an IQ litmus test.

    The great thing about Uber driving is the push a button and work. The problem is, the rest of the world are on the 7am to 5pm work day. So if we want to make money outside of NYC or San Francisco, we have to at least work that same morning commute and evening commute.

    If true, that 90% of taxi drivers are contractors, work shift, don't own the asset, don't have (employer paid) benefits, and that Uber drivers don't work shifts and own the means of production, then I can definitely see Travis's point of view on the status question.

    the guy is a huge liar, he know you don't just work when you want to with Uber, you are a service and you need to meet the demand of the market, so that means you must work all the rush hour times and Friday nights and Saturday nights. So no you don't work when you want, if that is really true turn on the app middle of Wednesday, unless you are in a tourist town, you will be lucky to do one ride

    • @randomvideotosee

      He’s talking about the real world. Not some middle of nowhere town in a state people don’t care about.

      he is making the point that when price goes down, the demand goes up and thus driver taking more rides per hour and thus making more money. Not necessarily true but if the right pricing vs demand math was done, it's possible

    • @viciousattackvideo
      @viciousattackvideo 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yup - supply: endless capital via pure speculation and hype. Demand: drivers demand more than a pittance, people demand to get around.

      It’s true, statistically if a rider feels like his fare is low or lower than expected they tip more, and the drivers make more money.

This man success make all nation crimes rate increase. And this man support no tax on his global trillion air. The problems guy. We create Uber to help peoples own cars to make the living in crisis time. Rather than nation and nation no more monies for him to success. This guys solving problems earning for him very easy. He dropped the prices so low that drivers can't make a respectable living, hes a coward and a scam artist although I recognize the genious is and was, I wonder what UBer could have been but he dropped the prices too quickly and he should have whetered the storm and proved that they had better drivers and better service at a premium price his company would be worth way more now..the prices going down...was not the right strategy...sure making it more affordable little by little but he dropped it way to far...leaving drivers as disgruntled employees and leaving an indelible scar.Cheaponing the product.
