Never owned a motorcycle either... and I've only ridden 125cc dirt bikes in the fields of Virginia. I can totally understand the maturity factor. I just got my motorcycle endorsement at the young age of 50 and I'm Doordashing to pay down debt and save up for my Indian Scout bobber sixty. Love to see my fellow vets killing it and living the dream. Subscribed, and thank you for your service!
That’s awesome to hear brother! I was on the fence about getting a scout bobber 60, but figured pay extra now and just learn at a little bit slower pace. Instead of having to upgrade in a year, or maybe less. Good luck and can’t wait too see your bike when you get it!!
@@MattB13 That's exactly why I chose the bobber sixty. Lot of back roads, frontage roads and parking lots to practice low seed drills before I turn her loose on the highway, and instead of outgrowing the bike like I would with another bike.
That’s awesome. I a, excited for you. It’s such a nice bike. I was just out practicing on the back roads. But it’s a bit cold so I garaged it. Keep me posted!
Welcome to the motovlog community and congratulations on the bike! Thank you for your service. This is a worldwide community that is always welcoming. Looking forward to hearing and watching more. Cheers!
Thanks brother! I knew before I bought the bike I wanted the mini apes. They are so comfy for me. I shot a video or two last night. I’ll get to editing. I need to get a better mic for the camera. That sound quality is cringe. Can’t wait to see how far you’ll go!
congrats partner, your in for some good times. nice to see a similar experience as mine, bought my 21 bobber in Auburn California last April. lookin' forward to watching your channel...
Congrats!! But its true that black heat shield is on backorder for a long time now. The black heat shield does look better on your bike it match on the black rims. But the chrome heat shield is better looking on the scout bobber twenty it match on the spoke rims.
Yes I agree. I’m thinking about rattle can painting it. Or just taking them off and wrapping it, to give it a much meaner look. Thoughts!? Thanks for commenting. And subscription and share! Lots more videos coming!
Congrats bro and thank you for serving I’m also a Vet .. picking up mine on Friday and same I saw the pics today with the chrome and I’m gonna write them and get those black shields when available..
Thanks Brother! Congrats to you and thank you as well!! I’m excited for you. I’ve ridden almost every day since uploading this video. Dang near 1000 miles now. So I actually called and spoke to a couple different people at Indian corporate and their customer service and customer relations department and they told me they didn’t do anything like that… So if you get anywhere with it please please please tell me what to do, and I’ll spread the word.
Congrats. Indian is giving everyone who got these chrome shields a $375 coupon to cover black shield and install. You can use the coupon for anything. Talk to your dealer or call corporate. Everyone is entitled.
Woah, your dealership is crazy about making you buy the black heat shields. I told them that I ordered my back with black heat shields and they did not deliver that, so they said mine would be provided w/out any cost to me.
Well to be fair I didn’t order it. It was on the showroom floor. But they ordered it with the black. It’s whatever at this point. I’m leaning towards taking them off and wrapping the manifolds. Or maybe powder coating them to match the new grips
It’s not a weird reason the chrome heat shields came with. It is a known issue regarding the pandemics and logistic delays and shortage of inventory - especially from China.
I guess you’re right in this day-in-age, nothing is a weird reason for anything! I’d just assume the chrome process would be harder to fulfill than the powder coat is all. It’s moot now. I just took them off and wrapped my pipes. Thanks for watching!
Congrats! It’s nearly identical to what I’m about to go and place an order on. If you don’t mind, what was the ordering process? Did you go and place a certain amount of $ down for them to start the build, then pay the rest on a later date? Also, how long did it take for it to finish? Thanks so much, and enjoy that beauty.
I didn’t order it. It was on the showroom floor. It from what I understand, you give the dealer a deposit and then wait. I know guys that have waited for 4-6 months. Good luck!
Thanks for the reply 👍. I’m actually heading a few hours away to a different dealer than the one close to me cause they have a 2022 scout bobber 20 on their show room floor! Congrats again!
@@matthewhill3996 oh that exciting! The bobber 20 is sick- I love the spokes rims. And you get the mini apes, so comfy. Very happy for you. Congrats buddy. Ride safe.
I am 6’1” without shoes on and about 195lbs. To me the bike is perfectly comfortable. If I could move the pages forward maybe another few inches it would be perfect. But yea. It’s fine stock for me!
I'm exited for you! Good luck and continue to have fun! 🍻
Thank you, that means a lot!
