The $15k spend doesn’t just give you another Cat 1-4 on the WoH card, it also gives you 6 nights towards Status. Though, if you don’t have any nights when you open the card, you’ll only be at 11 nights out of 30 for Globalist.
Hotel cards are great! Those cards can provide great experiences and benefits! I’m team Hilton, but will get some IHG cards next year and a couple of Marriott’s cards. Great video Anthony!

@@AnthonyVenture yeah. I went to this Andaz in London which was really great and it got me thinking. A lot of places I have seen in Europe and the Caribbean have been reasonable. Still have to try more stays, but so far so good on the Hyatt redemptions. You might want to take a look.
Good video, Anthony. There are definitely a lot of choices when it comes to hotel credit cards. I have the IHG One Rewards Premier card and the Hilton Honors (NAF) card. Hilton is definitely my favorite chain and one day I would like to have the Aspire card. I also like IHG properties. I’ve stayed in several Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express locations and both brands have a lot of really nice properties. I have also stayed in a Staybridge Suites property and I really enjoyed it. Eventually, I do want to get more hotel cards like one of the Marriott cards and the World of Hyatt card. I will even consider one of the Wyndham cards and maybe the Choice Hotels card with the free night certificate.

I have the Hilton Surpass card and I love it. The food and beverage credits build up like crazy and I even got a $50 credit per the refresh on a stay I just completed in Miami.
I could definitely see myself grabbing a few of those $95ish annual fee cards that give a free night like the Marriott Boundless, WOH, IHG Premier, etc. Then don't even get me started on the business cards... I could go ham with those too lol. I'm excited to get into the hotel card game here in the near future and this video got me even more hyped for it. Great stuff as always man!

I've mainly been a Hilton loyalist up to this point, but I recently added the Marriott Bonvoy Business for more exposure and the better global footprint, and want to add the Chase WoH as well, so I guess I'm kinda a Free Agent haha. Mannn, that’s a tough question. Personally if I was in that situation, I’d probably just get the Schwab before they possibly change something and then just cancel the Vanilla since then you’ll be even Steven with a guaranteed SUB. Aspire isn’t really going anywhere so I’d get that after the fact honestly, just my 2 cents. Thanks for that too Joshua!

@@AnthonyVenture It’s understandable. They have no where near the number luxurious properties or benefits of status. I’ve stayed in one in Poland before and it was decent. Plan to get that card before a Hilton or Marriott just for emergencies, like when I had no water for 3 days. A budget option for non pleasure travel.
@@AnthonyVenture poor infrastructure. A deep freeze made several water main burst. So 2 days without any water and the 1 day with horrifically low pressure.
Oh no! Hopefully all rectified now. That sucks, a lot of these builders are starting to use Pex since they say it can expand and contract with the temps.
U sure the ritz card can be used at any hotel or does it Have to be lower then 85k per night. Yes u can add 15k to it but still capped unlike the hilton FNC
The Ritz FNC can be used at any Marriott property yes, and has that 85k cap. Can add the 15k points too yes. Also, the Hilton FNC of course is not capped by points, but by “Standard Rooms”. I’m sure you already know, but it’s very rare to find a standard room higher than 80-100k points usually, in most places, after 80k points, it ends up being a Premium Room and then you can’t use the FNC there. But of course, there are some standard rooms up to 120-130k that I’ve heard of as well. So It is still capped, just depends on what the standard room will allow. Thanks Gemini!
Marriotts FNA arent as good as Hiltons FNC due to the 85-100k cap per night. Hilton FNC can b used regardless of points needed. Marriott caps out at 100k. Hilton is king, marriott is the prince, hyatt is the royal jester, IHG is the royal pet, everything else are peasants 😂

Great information. I have some suggestions. Please reduce/eliminate all the editing on your videos: The amount of cheap graphics overlays (e.g., clocks with spinning hands), the zoom-fading of stock images, random closeups of your face, audio of clicking (or any kind) as subtitles appear, screen spinning transitions, mouse cursors making pointless wiggling/circling motions as it hovers over arbitrary things (such as random portions of the wyndham credit card--why?)...I could go on, but I everything I mentioned literally occurred in the first 90 seconds of this video. I honestly like your actual content a lot. Very useful info. It's just...the editing is profusely difficult to watch. I recognize the utility of these "attention-grabbing" edits for youtube, but please consider that it may not be beneficial for particular channels (e.g., personal finance channels). But maybe people like me aren't your target audience? In which case, just ignore my suggestion. Have a wonderful day.
I appreciate you taking the time to write that out in detail Kal! So I relooked at the footage and feel those graphics such as clock spinning, was to emphasize the time going by quickly point. Cursors circling is to draw attention to the card, and then to what I’m talking about instead of just a still screen where the people have to guess where to look. Close ups of the face do aid in consumer retention, especially for talking points longer than 8 seconds, used in many movies etc. So while I do agree that alot of editing could be annoying, I have removed about 50% of the editing I typically do to get to where it is now, and I can’t argue with the analytics that show, since I’ve edited in this way, the average viewer has watched the video longer. So while I appreciate your point of view and will take that into account going forward, I can’t change and remove all editing for one person, as the majority seem to like it. Thank you again Kal, please do always give suggestions if you do decide to continue watching, but if you don’t, I understand and hope you have a great day as well!!

Wyndham resorts and some hotels are def worth it. With diamond status 10% off so only 27k points for a nicer location. $3-400 a night.

This video was about which cards give free nights, had I talked about each place and night, it’d be a 2 hour video.
Also, every card on this list was good, just for most the lower tiered ones may not be, but I included 13 cards, pretty much all of them that have good hotel FNCs, what more could you want?

Absolutely, I understand that, and sorry about that. Also, I did include 13 different cards, I just thought maybe like the Best Western ones wouldn’t be the best, but have to be included since they offer free nights or equivalent etc, tried to be as thorough as possible.
