Dang!!! You did the best you could with a hurt transmission!!! You handled that situation way better than I would have! Lol your videos are always awesome brother!!! 🇺🇸💪🏼
VMP's my home track. (That's my buddy's Monte at 2:04.) REALLY wish I could've gotten off work to watch you guys on Monday! But couldn't. Sorry your Drag n Drive adventure didn't work so well. Seems like high-hp and manuals (that aren't $10k mega-strength race units) never like to work together for very long on hardcore events like this. I've done a couple Hot Rod Drag Weeks. It's a grueling but fun deal. Hopefully you'll have her back together and do another one of these soon.
Thanks man. The bearing going was my fault, Junk went through it last month and I should have swapped it out. I did Hot Rod Drag Week last year and it went smooth, no issues with the Torino. Lost the water pump in the F150 on the drive home tho lol
Problem for me with a spare is, mine is a 26 spline GForce. So a spare would be expensive. Also being able to get the car high enough to pull it. I only took a small jack and jack stands and that wouldn’t be enough. I’d need a trailer and a real jack and stands.
@@mikeymac9 I have a 4x6x5 enclosed. Buts it's not light. I need to get air bags and see if that is good enough for the load. Just pulled the stock transmission that has been grinding going into third. I have a JY T5 I have upgraded to "50tussin" specs, read to go in. I was thinking about trying to take less and just use a hitch basket backing the trailer with a spool and manual steering sucks. Need to get it and the new clutch disc in and get some miles / passes on it.
@@russellbroadwell Are you registered for a drag and drive? Hit Rod drag week? Sorry if you already told me. Either way good luck! I felt like a trailer would be a pain but it is nice to carry more stuff.
@@mikeymac9 yes Street -n- Yeet. It's easy to carry too much stuff. It is a pain. It's nice to have a way to lock your stuff. I have an 87 coupe. If I want to change tires I have some way to carry them outside the car. It's about the most useless car ever made. I never should have sold my hatchback.
It started at VMP near Richmond Virginia, then up to Atco in NJ, then over to Cecil County MD, then finish back at VMP. This is drag and drive which is a competition. A little different from Power Tour which is just a cruise. I think we could do one in the north east with NED LVD down to maybe Maple Grove or include the 2 1/8th mile track in Maine.
You did the best you could do with what you had that’s all anybody can do
Well done Sir 👍🇺🇸
Thanks!
Love watching your vids. Layed back, and informative. You the man.❤
Thank you!
Good grief that SBF sounds soo good! (Guess that spiffy exhaust helps a lot in that dept.)

Thanks man! I got lucky with the ride back to Virginia. I sweating it out for a little bit 😂
always an adventure!
Yep we had a blast. Ready for the next one.

bummer the transmission didn't want to hang all week :(
Yeah it was a bummer. Wanted to finish it with my son. But we had fun and will do it again.
I see a TKX in your future
Most likely… maybe even faceplated. We’ll see.
Sorry to hear about the T5. Can't decide if taking a spair T5 on the Drag and drive is a good idea.

How much vacuum does your engine have at hot idle?
14-15ish
Fix it quickly. I want to see an 11:30. 👍👍👍👍💪
Hopefully have it back in some form by the time we get that good fall air to try and run some 11.3’s.

Nice Torino
