    Honestly the interior of the Rogue is incredible- super comfortable & spacious, looks a class above, loaded with features. Add to that the incredible new 3cyl engine, it’s a great daily driver.
    I just really _wanted_ the RAV4, but if I couldn’t find one in the trim & color I wanted, I was also considering the Mazda CX50, Nissan Rogue, and Forester. The CX50 is also great in looks, comfort, & engine like the Rogue, while the Forester was just a last resort since they have plenty of new ones in-stock around my area, though it is comfy and safe, I just didn’t _want_ one. While I was lucky enough to find a RAV4, I will say I was very impressed with the Rogue, Nissan has a real hit on their hands with it.

    I wasn’t going to comment, but I still see so many comments complaining about the CVT. I own a 2016 Nissan Rogue that we currently have over 130,000 miles on and we’ve had no issues with the CVT. I’m sure that they have done the work to make it reliable, and they even mentioned that it has been updated specifically for this new engine, please stop tripping, go test drive one and see for yourself.

      This is the most optioned, highly decked out version. So $42k isn’t bad at all in that context. With that said it’s still more money then I would spend on a car. But I think we all need to honestly step back and realize we all don’t need the highest trim version of a vehicle, nor have we saved enough/ earn enough to afford one. The mid trim is about 10k cheaper and has more than enough to offer.

  • @tomtalker2000
    @tomtalker2000 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I absolutely LOVE what Nissan did with the Rogue. Inside and out it's leaps and bounds ahead of it's competition. Honda just overhauled their CRV from the ground up but kept the same power train + a few tweaks to the CVT etc...However, they took away it's flat load floor and a few other crucial amenities the 2022 model and prior had. Nissan overhauled the Rogue in 2021 and then took a MAJOR gamble and gave us an entirely new engine for '22. Honestly i feel it paid off for them. However, long term reliability will be something too look out for. But as of right now this vehicle is DEFINITELY on my short list in replacing my current 2015 Lincoln MKC 2.0 AWD. I need a slightly bigger vehicle with more cargo room yet give me good gas mileage while being powerful enough on the highway. Right now my MKC is a gas guzzler with it's turbo 4cyl. They didn't tune that vehicle for getting good gas mileage at all otherwise it's been a great SUV. So my advice is for leases take the plunge on this new Rogue. And for buyers i would say wait a year or so until they have worked out any "kinks and recalls" before dropping $35-42k on it. Otherwise, GREAT JOB Nissan it's about time.

    Thanks for reviewing this one, Nathan! I've been wondering how this turbo engine compares against the 2.5 NA engine. Sounds like an improvement! Do you know if the Rogue's twin, the Mitsubishi Outlander, will be getting this engine as well? I do know that the USA is 100% getting a next gen. Outlander PHEV, likely late in the year. These two CUVs share a platform so a Rogue PHEV COULD be done (although the Outlander is manufactured in Japan, whereas the Rogue is manufactured elsewhere). Wait until next year or the year after. They took a HUGE gamble revamping this SUV in 2021. Ventilated seats can be added VERY easily so i see it happening.

    • @joenissan
      @joenissan 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      No way do I want cooled seats! What you have to remember is, cooled seats use a blower…which means the heated setting also uses the same blower. I have them in my Titan XD. Is it a reliable CVT? I mean, if it’s built by Nissan, most likely not. They need to just ditch the CVT all together. They don’t have major transmission failures in their other transmissions. Only the CVT.

    I've had my '22 Rogue for a few months, have noticed an irritating "whirr" noise from under the hood, occurs after about 35 mph, not really noticeable after 60 or so due to wind/road noise. It is more noticeable upon letting off the gas from around 50 mph. Very annoying with no radio on, bearable with music on. I was wondering if anyone else has this same "whirr" on their '22...? My dealership said it is just inherent to this turbo with this CVT.
