Avid Heroscaper here. I am looking forward to seeing what Adventure Together puts out there. I know the reboot-reboot of Heroscape took them by surprise, but I think they're prepared. I plan to back their Kickstarter as my first pledge ever on that site, since even though the tile systems won't connect, HS game could absolutely be played on Scape, and vice versa, along with tons of potential for customs, etc. The Heroscape community is very much alive and thriving and I think both games can exist in the space, and make each other better for it.
I agree. I think it was a mistake for Hasbro to not offer pre-painted minis like in the original so Adventure Together has a leg up in that regard (although I think unpainted minis will be an option as well). I'm looking forward to getting my hands on a review copy and seeing how the rules are improved over OG HeroScape.

Sounds like you had such a great time at Gencon! I realize that you are channel doesn't usually post gameplay videos, but I would definitely be interested in a Battletech battle report. I'm kind of interested in how it plays. That 8 player d&d skirmish would be cool to watch too!

I picked up Nexus Arena at Gencon, There is a current Gamefound campaign for a new rulebook where you can also get the game as well. Looking forward to playing it with my group

I was there. Picked up Carnivale and went all in on the Everyday Heroes RPG. I got to play the Dragonslayers rpg and bought it as well. Good stuff.
judgement Eternal Champions is an amazing game. I went in on the kickstarter and i was not disappointed. I have seen a video of 3 people playing a game.

@@gaminggeek241 you could. I think it could work ok. It was designed for 2 player head to head but i dont see why you couldnt play with 1 model each. Each players turn would be quick and you might have to create some house rules but i dont see why not. Creature caster has a you tube video you can watch and see if you can adapt to 1 character per person. it would make for an interesting battle royale
I have my eye on HeyGear, love the way their printer work. Big chance when I do my jump into resin it will be a HeyGear printer and wash station.
I'm in talks with them right now to possibly do a review. It's pricey though!
@@gaminggeek241 True that, in my case being disabled it would be a benefit. So I’m hoping with my reinventing myself professionally by designing terrain and eventually sculpting miniature I would benefit from and ecosystem like that. I love gaming, but I struggle playing. So I do by proxy through designs at this time :P It is so much fun on it’s own. I just recently launched my channel. Thank you for your channel. It had helped me a lot and opened my eyes on a lot of things.
I went but (obviously) didn’t see you. It was my first time with my two kids and we also got into Battletech! My son painted his first one and we’ve played quite a few games of alpha strike since. It’s a good one!
Definitely, and I think the mechs are super easy to paint so it's great for kids!

Picked up several Promo minis from Wizkids.
I also brought home an 18th Century Sloop from Blood and Plunder that I got a decent deal on the last day of the Con.
I would have got more of their stuff but I didn't have much room for the plane ride home.
Yeah, it's probably a good thing that you are limited by the plane!
I picked up a few small games but finally picked up Kingdom Death Monster and the Gamblers chest pre-order. It was quite a fun time trying to figure out how to fly back home with the giant KDM box 😅

Would love to hear your opinion of Battletech when your gaming group eventually gets to play it. My buddy and I tried to get into it but the rules were so convoluted in an old ruleset kind of way....hopefully that makes sense. ;-)
I had a chance to play it again and I'm actually surprised at how easy the basic rules are. You can play without most of the complicated rules or just incorporate them a little at a time as you go along. Will do more videos once I paint up my minis.

Not trying to sound judgy, but I'm curious what you thought you were signing for with the MCP event? Had you mistaken it for a demo event? I'd only seen them advertising it as a tournament.
Yeah, we were dumb for not looking at the requirements for the event. It wasn't a tournament but a narrative event for eight players, each controlling one hero.

You preferred Trials of Tempus over Onslaught? I like the card play of Trials, but I dislike that it almost discourages confrontation and that it requires 4 or more people to get the full experience. What won you over?
I think they exist for different audiences/purposes. Onslaught is a miniature war game. Trials is another DnD board game in the vein of Wrath of Ashardalon, Legend of Drizzt, and Castle Ravenloft. So it's a one-and-done. Where Onslaught is getting additional factions and expansions and will (presumably) continue to have more options in the future.
Yes, Jathom is correct. Since we have six people in our gaming group and most of them aren't tabletop wargamers, Trials is a better fit for us. But if I was looking for a wargame, I'd go with Onslaught as well.
I don't understand 100% what is going on with Adventure Together Scape vs Ravensburger HeroScape... Will the tiles be compatible size for stacking? If so, that's fantastic for gamers but I don't know if it will incite Hasbro lawyers to send the Pinkertons or something! If they are not compatible, it will be hard for those of us with big collections to justify switching systems.
Honestly, the only reasons the HeroScape kickstarter failed earlier in the year is that the price was 10x that of the old starter sets and looked worse due to the lack of painted minis.
Honestly, I thought the same regarding copyright but they are getting their own system copyrighted. Due to this, the tiles aren't compatible with HeroScape unfortunately. And I agree that they should have had prepaints when Hasbro relaunched. I think AT Scape is jumping in at an open market opportunity and I'm hoping they can get some traction to make Hasbro do better. Nothing like competition to make gamers the winner!
