As a resident here I'm surprised to read so much appreciation of a place that I don't consider anything special, but this is likely an effect of living here: I'm used to it so to me it's normal stuff.

Where are the several lifeguards required to lift/ drag those lifeboats into the water? Surfboards would be far quicker and easier. Thats what our Southern California USA lifeguards use. One person can easily put them in the water and save someone. happens most every weekend somewhere. this beach looks like every other beach except no surf like we get all the time here.
Mediterranean sea is not an ocean, and you won't find 3mt high waves very often, especially in summer. Those lifeboats are very light, the wooden base is empty so they can be put into water by just one person not even a strong one. In addition oars are more effective than arms
