      Scorcese's Cape Fear has absolutely nothing on J. Lee Thompson's original. And De Niro is cartoonish and absolutely silly as Max Cady. You want to see a villain who sends chills down your spine by just looking at you, try Robert Mitchum's Max Cady. You guys literally no little about movies before the 1980's or anything that isn't popular culture.

      "Yojimbo" is a remake of a little known American film of the 1930s titled "Red Harvest" after the Dashiell Hammett novel it was based on. The best remake of those films in another great film "Miller's Crossing."

    Four horses were killed making the 1959 Ben Hur. Then there were no real rules or laws to protect animals used in movies and television. Yes, accidents happen. But this is overboard. In filming the 2006 Flicka, a horse took a bad step and had to be put down due to the leg injury. I noticed something in Army Of Darkness that could have caused Bruce Campbell serious harm (or worse). The bit on his horse was twisted around wrong when he pulled the reins. (This is the scene where the wiseman is explaining the magic words that he later fumbles) Why that horse never reared or bucked still escapes me; I have seen horses freak out at far less. These last ones were pure accidents. In the 1970s and before, horses were tripped to make them fall. There were seldom educated horse handlers present. Thank God more is done now to protect animals in movies.

    Excellent list with one exception.The remake of "King Kong". Overstuffed, too much CGI. How about the remake of "The Hidden Fortress" instead?

    I always thought Gone in 60 Seconds remake was one of the weirdest movies ever. Not in a good way.

    I got bored of King Kong remake since it’s the same old BS story. I prefer Kong Skull Island better.

    202: I love The Mummy. Got to tell you, I was scared when I first watched this when I was a kid but my fear of it is long gone. Fun franchise but the 2017 remake is plain terribly forgotten

    What about Fanatic 4 (2005) and
    The Dark Knight?

    • @SavageP.9000
      @SavageP.9000 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      A. Superhero movies are not included.
      and
      B. Those aren't remakes. The Dark Knight is a sequel to Batman Begins and it's a reboot, not a remake, and Fantastic 4 is a re-adaptation from the comics.

      @@SavageP.9000I see what you're saying. How about A Star is Born (2018)
      And Jurassic Park (1993)?

      @SavageP.9000 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@jtaylor3981 A Star is Born 2018 is a remake but Jurassic Park is also an adaptation. It's based on the book written by Michael Crichton in 1990, who also wrote the novel for the sequel, The Lost World Jurassic Park, 2 years after the first movie came out and after another 2 years later, the Lost World movie came out in 1997.
