Glad I bought The Hollies greatest hits compilation on dvd recently. This great song and many others are included. Liner notes by Ben Fong-Torres. Thanks for posting Eight to the Bar. Cheers!
This was hollies doing psycedelia You had to follow the Beatles back then Even the stones did it Otherwise you fade away like Dave Clark,Gerry,Billy J Searchers,Animals, troggs herman The truly great groups moved on musically to evolve into bands like Zeppelin cream and prog and heavy metal Bands like the Hollies the Who Kinks survived cos they moved on As Lennon said I won't be singing she loves you when I'm 30 Paul might though ha
That made for a fantastic promo video....even if it's not an official one. What's with the mix of "King Midas" though. It's in stereo, but sounds BETTER than any stereo mix I've ever heard of it.
They weren't speaking to each other back then George apparently was less than complementary about the hollies version his song if I needed someone off rubber soul album
Have been enjoying your uploads and got me wondering - was this on a DVD or a tv show? Was "The Hollies Remember" its full name because Googling it doesn't seem to find anything other than your uploads. Would LOVE to get this as a single, full video if at all possible. Any info very gratefully received. Thanks. If can manage the full thing, extremely gratefully received. :)
Yes I was only a kid in the 60s but in the 70s I had a pair of flared trousers you could have driven a bus up the leg Funny thing is I thought they looked good at the time lol

These guys never reached the popularity of the Beatles but they sure had a good time in the 60`s
Oh I dunno, in terms of British chart success, they were as successful as the Beatles and the Stones.
My favourite Holies song !

Ron Furmanek remixed it and added a sampled bass drum, which ruins it for me.

@@dermotmahon2008 CSN famously auditioned for the Apple label and were rejected by George. He must have had a problem with lookalikes, bless him.
@@tcaudiobooks737 only to find George Martin would sign símil trio "America" a couple of years later 😂. Bad move, George
Este tema es uno de los precursores del power pop británico 70s si no me equivoco
