I was a bit skeptical about this show at first but I'm glad it turned out this way. By far one of my favorite blue devils shows.
9:10-9:32 where the best 22 seconds of my life 🥺😍 drum feature was so good and the snareline with the fivetuplets and nintuplets along with the back to back flams at the end 🤤🤤🤤🤤

4:07 this is lowkey favorite part just xylophones are going off the drum set hitten the beat real nice and also weird but satisfyingly how the band speed walks in sync
the front ensemble had 5 marimbas, 4 vibraphones, and 1 xylophone

Victory runs used to be Victory concerts, changed in '91 or '92 I believe. Victory concerts you always took your hat off. I am guessing the tradition just continued for the audience connection.

@@jacobcosper6899 if I'm correct I think this is the second highest dci score in the history of dci and guess who has first the Blue Devils 2014 show so to me they did perfect and they got what they deserved and there 2017 season they were undefeated the whole season
Landon Wallace it is not the second highest score in dci history lol, also I made this comment after being butthurt SCV lost lmaooo, but I will admit that this show was much visually cleaner than SCV, I just really enjoyed SCV and wanted them to win

mmjw ophh because you can't let a freshman going into high school judge the most prestigious marching competition in the world. Not to mention they've never even marched a full season of high school marching band though Kentucky state finals is our future. But I would've judge if so cause tbh being so far up in the upper bowl the low brass line of blue devils didn't make it up there but Santa Clara gave me a feel as if I was at a DCI show at a high school field
Kentucky's judging categories and scoring rubric is so bad. That's coming from something won has marching in Kentucky for 6 years and had taught 5 years.
Santa Clara Vanguard should have won in my opinion. Blue devils put on a good show but I liked SCV more by far in all aspects.

Tom O'Malley CC Waggoner played mellophone and joined the Blue Devils at age 19. He’s 20 right now. They conduct like that because when they conduct in time signatures such as 5/4, they have to differentiate between 1 and 2, but it can’t be entirely different from the conducting style for 2/4 or 4/4. It looks weird, but if it can give the corps an undefeated season to celebrate their 60th anniversary, then you can’t complain.
