I love this idea! I'm doing my first junk journal and am following Meg's prompts. I'm behind but I'm having fun. So far, my favorite book of 2024 is The Salt Path by Raynor Winn. I already know it's going to be in my top 5 books I read this year.
6 months later I am finally on this prompt, life happens. I had a similar idea to yours. I have a brown paper I have cut into old timey bookcase and every other shelf will have book washi tape . Then the others will have removable "books". I am going to include a bookmark explain what one can do with the pull out books. Glad I am watching this, have to mark glue spots.
I absolutely love this! Such a clever idea. You could even do it with papers that have objects other than books - I'm imagining all sorts of secret hidden tip-ins done in this style now. You're a crafting genius! 💜
@@mspaperlover Absolutely! Imagine a message hidden by a skull or tucked in amongst some flowers... oooh, or if you wanted to be spooky, using a Tim Holtz paper doll and having it so you can 'behead' them.... too far?😅 Still, so many possibilities!
Err so far (and off the top of my head!) I have: • John Gwynne - Shadow of the Gods (and the rest of the series if I like it) • Tolkien - The Fall of Númenor • The Letters of JRR Tolkien • A Day of Fallen Night - Samantha Shannon • Joe Abercrombie - The First Law trilogy • Brandon Sanderson: Yumi and the Nightmare Painter, The Sunlit Man, and Wind and Truth (when it comes out in December!) I plan to read more than that but that’s on my list so far! What about you?
I actually forgot the collab schedule for specific prompts and artists amd was just waiting for your video to pop up as a nice surprise, but when i saw that you'd taken the bookshelf prompt it just clicked, icm not sure why i even wondered what your prompt would be. This is such a cool idea, the total interactive spread that not only invites you to look at hidden things, but to actually consistently alter them in the future
Great job. You are so good at this. Love watching you create!! TFS
Very creative love that the books can come out and your decorations really makes the book edges stand out even more. Thanks for sharing ❤!
This is a great idea! I am a big reader and I love new ideas for chronicling what I've read and want to read. Love this!
What a cool twist on tags etc - love the slide-outs/pull-outs as a new thing to do.

AHH a fellow Sanderson fan! Super looking forward to book 5 as well 🥰 such a lovely idea and spread! How fun! I can’t wait to try this idea!
Hey Sanderfan 👋 what do you think of the title? I still think “Knights of Wind and Truth” would have been better
@@mspaperlover oooh I totally agree, I feel like Knights of Wind and Truth would fit the lineup better!

I hadn’t even thought of that but absolutely you could - now I’ll have to try it with other things!

Haha yes I nabbed this prompt as quick as I could! Thanks for your lovely comment 🤍
Brilliant idea I’m subscribing to you because of your involvement here with Junk Journal Jan 24
What do you use to do your printing?
Thanks for subbing! If you mean for the book cover prints I used my Phomemo thermal printer 🙂
Such a neat idea!
