I'm working in a Daphne's Diary planner this year, for the first time, and also making it more of a memory planner than a date planner (retired, less appts! YAY!) I also have various journals without real definition to use of this n that; which is probably why I enjoyed this video! TFS!
Definitely love things with no real definition- it’s much more freeing, it’s why I’ve made my “junk journal with me” videos into just “journal with me” so I don’t feel limited!

I did Studio Vlogs in the past but the views were very rapidly dropping on them 😕 I know what you mean about the making of journals rather than using them, I prefer watching people using their journals too, but the making of do so much better! Hello Grace. I love your shop and journal style. I didn’t realise you started in planner journaling first. I started with bullet journaling and then fell down the junk journal rabbit hole 😂 which I love plus a dabble in art journaling. I would like to see some real time videos as well as voice overs. Nothing too long would be my preference. Your handmade papers are great and I would love to see more colours if that’s possible. Hope that helps and please don’t stop doing what you do!

I’m trying to expand colours with the handmade papers but a lot of the dyes are expensive and a lot of the natural dyes (like avocado etc) bring me out in a rash 😂
I love your tutorials. They are always fantastic, and I like them in real time so talking whilst creating, but voice over is also good but preference is talking whilst creating. I love it when you do collabs with other journalers, I love it all!!!!!!!! Samxxx🥰😍💅

That doesn't happen very often, but I think it's a good mix between the two different communities. I think you could start a new trend. I know I would watch that type of video. I bet there are a lot of planners out there that want to expand their style. I'm glad I found you.

Just my 2 cents: my preferred type of videos from you would be whatever makes it easier for you to keep doing this! The kind of videos you enjoy making, that are easy and/or fun for you to make, will always be more fun to watch than something you're slogging through just to get it done. That said, I totally understand the business concerns. It's too bad you're not getting the views you're used to/hoping to get. I know this is a slow time of year for a bunch of TH-camrs; I hope you get the engagement you need for your business and all the success you deserve!

Hi grace I really enjoy your videos and have been a follower for a long time. I like the ones that are half and half chatty and informative I feel it is a more personal touch. In my viewing experience it seems although people are not wanting to spend the videos with the hauls seem to get a lot of views also the craft room ones, I would personally like to know how your fish are doing being a fishy mum myself 😜 please please don’t stop grace! I absolutely love this, customising a planner to be more you is just such a great idea! Regarding your request for feedback on what sort of videos, I think I'm very unhelpful because I just love every kind of video you do and watch them all 😂. In fact some of my favourites are the ones you've said in the past don't get many views - studio vlogs, card making, mixed media. But just rest assured, I will watch any and every video you put out, so please (for as long as you can, at least!) keep making whatever content it is that brings you joy and makes you want to create! 💜 p.s. I'm with you on the 'if it's not written down, it's not happening' thing, especially at work. The number of lists and notes to myself currently on my desk is borderline either impressive or unhinged, currently unsure which...😅 p.p.s. this might make you feel better about your levels of organisation... I bought new inserts for my filofax when I had a voucher back in October and felt very organised and with it. Where are they currently? Still in the packet, in a cupboard. My planner has not been touched since before Christmas. I have been living on scraps of paper instead for no reason at all. Perhaps this video will inspire me to finally get set up for 2024!

Yeah, I am pretty much up for anything, as long as there is some explanation for what's going on. I find sped up videos out there with no talking frustrating as heck, but yours are always well explained. What you already do as a mixture of voice overs and real times, chatty and explaining works great, I think. Oh, and I am with you on the split weekends. And on the updating to the latest macOS. I was just forced to do so yesterday for work, and I am still recovering. I wouldn't call myself a Mac genius, but I've been working in tech for decades, and nobody in my team upgrades the system unless forced to do so.

I like your videos because they are dynamic and always to the point. Even if you ramble, your timing is generally pretty great, because after a while we get to catch up on the less imprtant bits. A lot of creators, even if i think their style is gorgeous and their ideas are really interesting, i have to click away halfway through bc i just cannot deal with very slow voice-over or watching glue dry. You have this combination of creativity and high energy that keeps me clicking on your videos. If you want suggestions, i'd say, maybe lean into that and try out a shorter form comtent? Like doing more "journal with me" videos in 10-ish minute range? Owing to the fact that a lot of people on the internet nowadays have shorter attention spans. I believe your creative ideas would still make a video worthwhile even if it's a bit shorter

I like all of your video styles, a mix of comment on what you're creating and chit chat is the best for me, it makes me feel a bit more as if we're somewhat friends. I'm sorry about the views, I really hope they get back up as I'd miss you if you stopped producing content
I prefer real-time but I’m happy with whatever you do if I’m honest. I love journaling and junk journaling. I would be disappointed if you had to reduce putting out videos Grace but I do understand xx
Hi - I watch a lot of YT - I went through all my lives from crochet to journals to painting on and on…. Real time journaling is truly like watching paint dry and you have to have a great voice and sense of spaced silence. I stopped watching Gayle because it was just too slow. Only Rachel can I still watch from Roxy Creations. I watch 49 Dragonflies and used to love her but now she’s all “religious” about journals and I don’t like it…. It seems that - for me - I like fast editing that keeps a watchable pace, voice over or real time is up to content I think… and whatever you do can be something if it’s for that edge of fun and art. Chloe Rose Art is going through this and she started hated art because of the demand but she has a funny character and style so it doesn’t matter what she does. Now she is even crocheting and it’s funny. Me? I work as a professional theatre maker where luckily all manner of making things has a place. I think you talk too quickly and get insecure when you go on a tangent . Make a subject list and stick to it. Keep going and good luck. I’m watching.
Thank you for your comment, I really appreciate it. You are right that I can talk too fast, it’s a habit I’m trying to break out of! Though I do wonder if it’s also an act of subconscious rebellion against some of the popular very slow talking videos - I really struggle with those, in all honesty I find them a little patronising, but that’s a me problem. I think the insecurity in tangents you mentioned comes from trying to keep everyone happy - people are extra sensitive on the internet and it feels like I have to cover all bases; the most basic example being if I say I don’t like something, if I don’t then say “but it’s ok if you like it, everyone is different” etc, people get annoyed! I will try out making lists but I find that too much preparation can make things sound artificial and I don’t like videos like that. I have a policy of not making videos that I wouldn’t watch myself but I need to try and find a balance with that I suppose!
Right... everyone says things like "I use paper but you use whatever you want and whatever you have" so then ???? I truly think an independent voice without insult is the honest/personal way to go. You can't say I love red but you can love whatever you want. I don't think viewers of these kinds of channels are children. I know that politics stays out... I don't have a channel anymore and I don't make a living from it but I always said what I thought. Tricky but ok... it's television. Jackie

I prefer real-time but I’m happy with whatever you do if I’m honest. I love journaling and junk journaling. I would be disappointed if you had to reduce putting out videos Grace but I do understand xx

Hi - I watch a lot of YT - I went through all my lives from crochet to journals to painting on and on…. Real time journaling is truly like watching paint dry and you have to have a great voice and sense of spaced silence. I stopped watching Gayle because it was just too slow. Only Rachel can I still watch from Roxy Creations. I watch 49 Dragonflies and used to love her but now she’s all “religious” about journals and I don’t like it…. It seems that - for me - I like fast editing that keeps a watchable pace, voice over or real time is up to content I think… and whatever you do can be something if it’s for that edge of fun and art. Chloe Rose Art is going through this and she started hated art because of the demand but she has a funny character and style so it doesn’t matter what she does. Now she is even crocheting and it’s funny. Me? I work as a professional theatre maker where luckily all manner of making things has a place. I think you talk too quickly and get insecure when you go on a tangent . Make a subject list and stick to it. Keep going and good luck. I’m watching.
Thank you for your comment, I really appreciate it. You are right that I can talk too fast, it’s a habit I’m trying to break out of! Though I do wonder if it’s also an act of subconscious rebellion against some of the popular very slow talking videos - I really struggle with those, in all honesty I find them a little patronising, but that’s a me problem. I think the insecurity in tangents you mentioned comes from trying to keep everyone happy - people are extra sensitive on the internet and it feels like I have to cover all bases; the most basic example being if I say I don’t like something, if I don’t then say “but it’s ok if you like it, everyone is different” etc, people get annoyed! I will try out making lists but I find that too much preparation can make things sound artificial and I don’t like videos like that. I have a policy of not making videos that I wouldn’t watch myself but I need to try and find a balance with that I suppose!
Right... everyone says things like "I use paper but you use whatever you want and whatever you have" so then ???? I truly think an independent voice without insult is the honest/personal way to go. You can't say I love red but you can love whatever you want. I don't think viewers of these kinds of channels are children. I know that politics stays out... I don't have a channel anymore and I don't make a living from it but I always said what I thought. Tricky but ok... it's television. Jackie
