Just a helpful tip: if the recipe calls for essential oils, it’s best to use a glass spray bottle (amber or blue colored for extra points) to inhibit the essential oils from breaking down the plastic overtime and getting toxins into your cleaning products ❤️

    • @JBaby_9783
      @JBaby_9783 3 ปีที่แล้ว +17

But glass isn’t all appropriate. I won’t use glass in an area where it’s likely to break, such as a bathroom. Just make sure your plastic is essential oil safe. If your bottle is clear or white be sure to store it in a dark place. But even if you aren’t using essential oils you need to be care about the bottles you use because vinegar is an acid and it will eat through cheap plastic. Make sure your bottles are HDPE #2.

When we adopted our cat we checked to see what plants and foods are toxic to cats and the answer, among other things, is essential oil. I know most pet owners are aware of this but I just wanted to mention it.

I've use several of your DIY recipes around my home for over 2 years and love them!! Unlike most people I don't find vinegar, rubbing alcohol or Tea Tree oil to be strong odors at all. Your DIY disinfectant spray is used for many purposes in my home - in my front loading washing machine when I'm done doing loads, an indoor ant killer, and in my shoes at the end of the day (like at bowling alley). Just two sprays are needed. I found a combination of Thyme, Rosemary and Clove Essential oils that work for me and smells great! Thank you!!

I always enjoy watching “Clean my Space” videos. Today I browsed TH-cam looking for videos that would motivate me to clean my long neglected bathroom. I even prayed about it bc the thought of it was so overwhelming. Then I came across “cleaning and organizing a hoarders bathroom.” The before and after photos were just what I needed to get me going.
I lost my son just before Christmas, and cleaning has been the LAST thing on my mind. But, I PROMISED myself I’d do it today even if it took all day! After I sweep, mop, & rearrange items on my vanity, my bathroom will not only look pretty, it will be sparkling clean! Its been a long time coming, & I look forward to it sooo much! Happy Easter everyone!

Hey fam, I hope that you and your loved ones are well. I would like to ask you the most important question ever asked:
Who is Jesus? Not who is He to you. Rather, who is He really?
Jesus is the Son of God, who came to the world as a man. He lived a perfect and sinless life . Even though He was perfect and sinless, on the cross of Calvary God wrathfully punished Him for the sins of the world. 3 days later He rose from death. Now He is seated at the right hand of God, ruling as King over Heaven and Earth.
On the judgment day He will judge you, me and every human being that has ever lived. Those who believed in Him will enter eternal joy with Him, but those who did not believe in Jesus will be sent to eternal condemnation.
So turn from your sins and believe in the Jesus. Believe and hope that you can be forgiven for all your sins because of His death and resurrection. He took your place in Hell, so that if you submit to Him as your Lord and God, you can be forgiven and take His place in heaven- you will be made sinnless and perfect before the Holy Father. He'll also give you a new heart and mind that can love and obey Him.
Jesus lives so that you can have true life and freedom, and most importantly so that you can have an eternally peaceful relationship with God.
You are dead, and Jesus is your Hope of love.
      Acts 15:11
”On the contrary, we believe it is through the grace of the Lord Jesus that we are saved, just as they are."
      Ephesians 1:7
”In Him, we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace"
      Ephesians 2:8
”For it is by grace you have been saved through faith, and this not from yourselves; it is the gift of God,”
John 11:25-26: "Jesus said to her, 'I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?'
1 Corinthians 6:14: "And God raised the Lord and will also raise us up by his power."
Romans 6:9: "We know that Christ, being raised from the dead, will never die again; death no longer has dominion over him."

Clean My Space hi!! I really find vinager and dawn to do a great job on shower tiles and fixtures. It leaves everything shinny. If tubs need a little additional help bar keepers or ajax does well. And finally for those who have back problems a broom to scrub is super helpful.

Clean My Space Melissa!! I have an important question for you... when making diy cleaners... recently... I’ve gotten pretty nervous about the different essential oils that may be bad for you. I have aromatherapy oils. Are these good for cleaning? Or do I need to order a specific kind?

Thank you so much for these recipes. I have tried two so far - the fridge cleaner and the daily shower spray and both produce incredible results. I didn't have any lemon essential oil for the fridge cleaner but had a lemon on hand so grated the rind and soaked it in the vinegar for 10 minutes, strained and added vinegar to spray bottle. The result was amazing! Now I'm using the daily shower spray and my shower looks shiny and clean every day. Next up to try is the laminate floor cleaner. These recipes make cleaning fun! I realize now I don't mind cleaning I just didn't like using toxic products.

Sharing my experience with DIY products. I'm a clean freak and over 60. I used commercial cleaners until I found your channel. A few months ago, I went to my doctor, complaining that I looked like a Dalmation. My arms were covered with red spots. She said, "Oh, well, you know, at YOUR age," and she went on to say they were bruises that ALL old people get. She said, "Don't go in the sun! Wear long sleeves!" (I live in Florida!) Instead, I tried DIY and NO MORE SPOTS! And I have a great tan, too!

Oh! I got a good question for you lol... so if you use daily shower spray why is their soap scum in your tub? Lol?? I make my own body wash with Castile soap and my boyfriend complains about the soap scum. I wonder why it leaves such a bad residue? Cause our sinks do the same (from diy foaming hand wash) Do you use straight castile soap or do you diy it? I have a really good body wash recipe if you would like it... it's been my goal to make professional like products myself and its my favorite recipe so far.

I have learned so much from your videos over the past few months. I have tried several of your DIY cleaners. But I have a question, how long do they last once you make them up? Is it only good for one day, a week, or longer?

Depends on the quality of water you used.

I love your videos! You guys have helped me become a better cleaner from all the great info you share. I was wondering if you have already or if you can for the future, make a video talking about cleaning when you have hard or soft water? For instance, Borax is a laundry booster for hard water, or research has shown you have to use both hotter water and more products to clean when you have hard water (for things like laundry and dishes). Thanks again for your wonderful videos. And I know it's been a little while, but Congratulations on the birth of your little cutie. 🙂

The mixes with lemon/hydrogen peroxide muat be for short term only or one time use. While the other ingredients would be good for about 3 months(from the link)

Thank you! I just bought some spray bottles and have all the products I need to start on my diy cleaning journey.
I wonder if you would consider doing a video on how to handle eggs, chicken and beef in the kitchen. I know I go overboard by using gloves and washing each item separately from my regular dishes, but I'm not sure how careful I need to be to not cross contaminate. Thanks and LOVE your top in this video!

So happy to have discovered and subscribed to your channel! We just installed luxury vinyl plank flooring in our home. Should I follow your DIY recipe recommendation for laminate flooring when I clean or do you have another suggestion for me to consider? I was not sure if the alcohol component would dry the vinyl. Thank you in advance for your reply and your awesome videos!

I like the vinegar cleaners (Dollar Tree), but also make my own, half vinegar/ half water with lime essential oils in it. I actually love the smell of the vinegar!

Hi Melissa, Would you recommend using castile soap instead of Dish soap for laminate floor? What about essential oils for smell?

    • @PKCHEMISTRYLAB
      @PKCHEMISTRYLAB 4 ปีที่แล้ว

Yes you can use Castile soap instead of dish soap. But if you are are using hard water it may leave soap scum.

A lot of great tips thank you! I was wondering what you would use for the base of a window. I have a full length window looking out onto our balcony and it's developed black stuff that looks like mold but the landlord said is not mold. What would be the best thing I could use to not only clean it but to disinfect it as well. Thanks for your help!

How about a DIY cleaner for the orange stains from sunblock? I have them on my shower tiles (grout, really) because my husband sprays sunblock on himself in there. I am pretty sure the orange stains really show when mixed with our (hard) water.
