Girl I put eucaliptus and lemon eo in my all purpose cleaner and now I just want to be cleaning ALL THE TIME. Also, I mix baking soda very regularly with my dish soap to clean greasy tupperware and cooking tools. I keep a spray bottle with just vinegar for harder greasy areas and alcohol with distilled water for disinfecting. That's all I use in my kitchen, and oh, how good it smells now💜
Sparky Hey a lot of her cleaners have the same ingredients she just gives them different purposes . She could have made the video shorter and said the multiple uses of ONE cleaner .
My absolute favorite is just water, vinegar, dish liquid and tea tree and/or lavender essential oils. I mix it up at varying ratios depending on what or where I'm cleaning. I haven't bought any disinfectant, multi purpose, bathroom or floor cleaners for years.
Like everybody, I started watching your channel accidentally. I’m in that category which thinks that knows to clean like a professional. I have my own tricks and homemade combinations of products. Little by little you conquered me. I borrowed some techniques, but I resisted to try your DIY CLEANERS. I live in Spain, so some cultural differences must be responsible. But I’m glad that you like our invention, the Castile Soap. In the end, thanks to you, I looked for information about sodium percarbonate. I understood its chemistry. I started to test it and I had a shock. My dear, I used the most corrosive products, like caustic soda or hydrochloric acid. And I don’t need it anymore!!!! I stop buying 14 cleaning products! Lady, you have a vision. And you changed mine. Thank you! BTW. I unsubscribed all the other cleaning channels. I preserve only yours.
When COVID came in to Australia last year, we had difficulty getting cleaning products & rubbing alcohol. So I got online & found out that Witch Hazel was a good alternative. So I bought a big lot of it for my family & neighbours. Since I still have some left I am using it with cleaning vinegar & a couple of drops of essential oils to do almost everything.
Your videos are awesome. I used a mixture of 1 gallon of water, 1/4 cup of distilled vinegar and tablespoon of Dawn dish soap and cleaned my linoleum floors. Wow, they came out so clean and the bucket of water mix was so dirty. Also used same mix in spray bottle and clean the bathroom mirror and wiped it with a paper towel and no streaks. Thank you so much for your info.
You have revolutionized the way I clean. One of my favorite cleaners of yours that works like nobody's business is your tub cleaner, 1:1 baking soda and dish soap.
I use this after my bath every night. Just squirt a little dish soap on a scotch brite tub scrubber and then shake a little baking soda atop from a cute, little glass shaker jar. Keeps the tub sparkling clean at all times....love this mixture. Thanks, Melissa for sharing this great recipes.
furniture dusting spray---1/2 t. olive oil, 1 t. vinegar, 1/2 c distilled water, 2 drops dish soap, 5 drops lemon oil---This stuff is fantastic. Just spray onto a flannel cloth and polish furniture. I buy discounted flannel fabric and cut into squares so I can discard when dirty.
I tried your grout cleaner recipe today and it was incredible! So simple and yet so effective! Our grout was a bit neglected and not getting clean with the store bought cleaners I've tried. So I tried the baking soda and hydrogen peroxide combo today and followed your directions regarding application and dwell time. Worked like a charm! Thanks! :)
Stove top cleaner 1/4 c baking soda, 1 Tablespoon water and 1 teaspoon dawn dish soap. Make a paste and use on stove top and will sparkle. Have also used on some stains on countertops too
This video makes me so happy, I am someone who gets overwhelmed by people talking for a long time and I end up zoning out. I appreciate the time stamps as well! Love the do's and dont's of your other videos. Like don't use vinegar on marble, I would have never known and was doing that.
Loving your videos. I make all of my cleaning products as well. For an all purpose cleaner I use vinegar and a tsp of dawn in a spray bottle. I also put this mixture in a dish sponge wand. I clean the tub and shower with that after I take a shower then dry the walls and shower pan or tub for that beautiful shine. I clean the bathroom sink with that as well. I use baking soda to clean the toilet bowl and rubbing alcohol to clean the rest of the toilet with. I use rubbing alcohol to clean my mirrors, windows and screens with. My kitchen sink I use baking soda and cinnamon, give a good scrub, rinse and dry. I do a lot of tidy through out the day but find deep cleaning a room a day really keeps me on top of things. I have become a minimalist this past year and have let go 40 percent of my items. I have to say this sure does make keeping my home clean so much easier and more enjoyable to clean.
Happy friday! Great tips! I use baking soda and vinegar most, especially after I almost got intoxicated mixing some cleaning products I bought from the market.
The one I use the most is the window cleaner and your stone cleaner (1 part rubbing alcohol to 3 part water with dish soap and essential oils). The rubbing alcohol makes me feel better when I’m cleaning the bench especially where I prepare food. It also makes it streak free! 😊 I’m going to try that shower spray now since I have white tiles.
I’m loving your channel and your style! You are such an excellent teacher and so helpful for all of us who were never taught how to clean, and I get overwhelmed easily and with your help, those days are in the past! I will buy your products your recommend too. The production is so well done too! I can see why you have millions of people who subscribe! Thank-you!
I googled how to clean a mirror without streaking and your Rachel Ray appearance showed up. I've been watching your videos for the last 72 hours. I had no idea the microfiber cloth my mom gave me last year for my car to wipe the dust, could be used for so much more and oh how it cleans!!! Sometime after that, I did manage to pick up another cloth at the store for dusting around the house. But that was the extent of my knowledge. Until I watched your videos, which leads me to go to your channel and get educated! I wrote down the cleaning recipes DIY and made the grout, all-purpose, and mirror cleaners. I've cleaned my shower, bathtub, bathrooms, toilets, baseboards, and master bedroom, kitchen, stove, fridge, microwave, Washer and Dryer, Office desk, doors, walls, and just now the Dishwasher and trash can in 72 hours! Whew! My back and muscles aching, I couldn't be more peaceful and happy! I was overwhelmed each time I cleaned before because it was so hard doing just the simple everyday things, I just did it half hazard way. I never got to the harder stuff like baseboards, trash can, vents, blinds, Vaccum or desk chair, or the legs on the nightstands! Boy oh boy did that all change these last 3 days! I used your DIY cleaners, let items pre-soak, wipe clean! OMG!!!! So simple! I followed your cleaning method 3 waves, the clock, top to bottom. I have been reenergized and now I see something and bam! clean it! i.e. garage freezer, garage entry door, and the light switch were so filthy, not anymore baby!!! Once my back feels better I already have more cleaning projects planned! Thank you guys for sharing your knowledge and I can't wait to purchase your cloths.
As a ER Doc I think this is the best thing ever!! So many unnecessary trips to the ER because of toxic cleaners. It can do a number on many things. And never ever buy ammonia for any reason. Trust me. Many alternatives.
I just love making my own cleaning products. I use, alcohol, hydrogen peroxide, vinegar, baking soda. I also learned how to use the "dish soap" you show from your videos! Thank you!
Never mix vinegar and hydrogen peroxide. I don’t know if you were naming all the ingredients you use or if this was an actual recipe. Vinegar and hydrogen peroxide can create toxic fumes when mixed FYI.
I use Pink Solution Clean for a lot, my counter tops my floors, general cleaning spray and laundry detergent. It's all natural I buy the 5 or 7 litre bucket and it lasts me all year. I typically add essential oils to it. It gives you a list on the side of the container for what you can use it for.
Yes!!!! I clicked so fast! I use most of these already but nice to see new ones(#4) plus its a refresher.love these because they are inexpensive, work amazing, & safe around my children.favorite would be vinegar in washer.
Thank you so much for this! I have been buying the $1 hand soap(most of the ones I buy are citrus based) at my local Joann's fabric store for years and will likely not run out until 2024. I bought two foaming hand soaps at the Dollar Tree, $1 each, one for each bathroom. When the original soap was gone, I dilute the hand soap from Joann's 50/50 with water and add my favorite essential oil which happens to be Elia's Fight It, which smells very much like Young Living's Thieves.
I've got a tip for you guys! You should use boiled water. Boil it, set it to cool until it's room temperature and then use it in your DIY's as normal :) boiling the water kills the germs and bacteria in the water. I personally feel better using boiled water than just tap.
Hey Guys!! Thanks so much for the awesome recipes!! I have a great stain lifter/cleaner!! I found that it lifts red clay mud, blood, marker, condiment stains, and any type of pet stains... it’s hydrogen peroxide & a tablespoon of dawn dish soap (that’s the only one I’ve found that works the best. The original blue dawn). I have seen other recipes that add water but I don’t. I find that the peroxide and soap undiluted make for the best ultimate stain lifter!! Thanks to you Clean My Space, Melissa and Chad, for inspiring, motivating, & helping us keep our spaces clean! ☮️
For granite or marble counter tops: Mix 1/4 cup rubbing alcohol, a few drops of Dawn and fill the rest of the spray bottle with water. Shake it well and spray onto counter tops. After leaving it for a few minutes, wipe it down with a rag and then follow up with a micro-fiber cloth. It makes counter tops sanitized and very shiny!
Love this list! My question is, can you pre-mix these ahead of time and let them sit in the spray bottle as you use it up, or do you need to mix each time just before cleaning?
@@cleanmyspace Melissa except all purpose cleaner,do you have something for me in your store to help me out keeping my high-gloss laminates of furniture shiny and spic and span??
I listen to your videos while I clean and it keeps me stay focused on the end results. Thank you for the motivation and for helping me save 💰 on a cleaner!!
This is a good list, the only thing is when you mix vinegar and baking soda, it causes a chemical reaction that ends up neutralizing them both (one is acid one is alkaline) and they just produce carbon dioxide. Separately they can work great, just doesn't do anything when mixed together.
I've read from multiple sources not to use vinegar on hardwood floors since its acidic and will eat away at the finish over time. Vinegar is fine on laminate floor but best just to use dish soap and water and leave out the vinegar on hardwood floors!
The ones that include water usually last somewhere between 2 - 4 weeks (4 weeks is is pushing it, tho...). They start smelling "off" after a while! Tip: make small batches and use super easy recipes that aren't a pain in the behind to refill regularly! Hope this helps :)
Second!!! Not counting the Clean My Space posts😂 I love vinegar + water DIY cleaner and dish soap + water DIY cleaner. I use it in my everyday cleaning routine! Love from India 🤗
Hello, I love your videos, so practical and useful. They also inspire me to clean! A little thing to be aware of however is that tea tree oil can be toxic even fatal to dogs. In the concentrations you use it’s unlikely to be a problem, but spills happen so it’s best to be aware.
Tea tree oil is toxic to cats and dogs as well as quite a few essentual oils. I have five indoor cats so have stopped using so many things I love to keep my cats safe. Google lists of safe and unsafe essentual oils for cats and dogs. Some of my very favorites are not safe. I'm so sad about that but my cats are family to me. I have also stopped using bleach. I have all white bedding in both bedrooms but found out bleach isn't good for my septic tank system and it also toxic. I now use hot water with hydrogen peroxide and Arm & Hammer washing detergent. I soak my whites for several hours and wash. Amazingly, they turn out as white as they did when I used bleach. If the whites are extra soiled I will soak them overnight. I was using white vinegar in the washer's final rinse cycle but read several articles that it can damage rubber washer parts as well as dishwasher parts. Darn! I use white vinegar for cleaning and full strength in a spray bottle as a natural room spray. It absorbs rather than masks any odors. I recently had five cats, a mother dog and ten puppies inside my small home for nine weeks. I never knew how dirty and smelly puppies can be once mama dog is finished nursing and cleaning them. Oh my gosh! It really put my white vinegar spray to the test! I still have five cats. I use Tractor Supply Pine Pellets in their litter boxes. It only costs $5 for a 40 pound bag and is wonderful. I tried so many litter products before I settled on the pellets. Plus, they are safe for the environment which clay litter products are not. I've been trying to become more environmentally concerned and also use non-toxic products to help keep myself, family and pets healthier.
Melissa, now that I have kids I can’t stand cleaning.☺️ You have shared so many great cleaning tips, I have been able to use leaving me stress free and getting my cleaning done quickly. I have a finished wood kitchen island, what (DIY) product do you suggest I use to clean and disinfect it with? Thank you for all your knowledge.
My favorite cleaning recepie must be combination of baking soda and vinegar to remove discolouration. Be it a stubborn curry stain on my counter top or the nasty marks of urine under the toilet seat, baking soda and vinegar in combination with a trusty cleaning toothbrush has yet to let me down :) I learned it from you, and was even able to impress my Mother in Law with it - she is a fan of it too now :)
The ones that include water usually last somewhere between 2 - 4 weeks (4 weeks is is pushing it, tho...). They start smelling "off" after a while! Tip: make small batches and use super easy recipes that aren't a pain in the behind to refill regularly! Hope this helps :)
After making one of these recipes, how long will they last? Do you need to make it every time you want to clean something or can you keep it in a cool dry place for a couple of months?
I'm doing all the recipes with the parts water, vinegear, alkohol, dishsoap and essential oils for years now and they last for many weaks. Pastes I make every time I need them.
th-cam.com/video/RjEes3PosPU/w-d-xo.html this a is video she did awhile ago. However in a most recent video, she suggests to toss your sponges after a week or so based on new research
Question: how long the cleaners in the spray bottles last? I have the impression you do small quantities instead of bigger batches to store? And the cleaners in the little containers, are they done just for each one time application? Thank you for the video, simple stuff and very useful!
I am so delighted I found your channel, and all your focus on simple cleaners. 💖💕 I don't think it was Fate though... I was trying to get more info on floor mops through an online store... and the next time I went to TH-cam... there was your terrific video on the various types of mops! 🙄😉😂💖
I like to add 15 drops of lavender oil, top up with water in a 500 ml spray bottle, I use on my stove n kitchen bench tops. Is a good grease cleaner, and smells great too. Also can use as a air refresher!
I tried a commercial glass cleaner and got a headache after just 2-3 sprays of the product. Some room sprays cause me headaches too. I find your product ideas helpful.
Hi Melissa, I thanked God for you today, your videos are helping me change my life! Will you please tell me your favorite essential oils that you use in your own DIY products?
My favorite oven cleaner that also works well on old sheet pans or skillets is just baking soda and vinegar, mix well to a paste, let it sit and everything comes back looking brand new.
Hey, you should research which essential olis are safe for pregnant women if you are going to use them, just a friendly reminder :) Ps congratulations 🥳
Is the recipe for cleaning engineered hardwood floors the same as for real hardwood floors? Thanks so much. You've been so helpful in reducing the number of products I use, not to mention saving me money. Thanks!
I love the idea of making my own cleaning products, especially laundry detergent. But, and this is a big but, my washer does not have a dispenser. I have to put detergent in the washer before adding clothes. How do I use/where do I add home made detergent to my washer? I only have a built in dispenser for adding bleach. TIA!
Hi Melissa 🤗😘 What can i use if i don't have borax? Where i live is hard to find. Thank you so much for the video,i write all the recipes in my " clean my space" mini notebook,i use most of them to clean around the house,my favorite is the toilet cleaner, is really working. Thank you 🤗😘
Hey Melissa, in my city essentials oils are expensive so I buy those very simple all purpose cleanser for smell, it takes a year or more to finish the bottle. 😬
Actually, DAWN & TIDE are the worst TOXIC CHEMICALS declare Safe by the CDC/ GOVERNMENT. EVEN though Americans Love these products , they ARE BAD for us. Just goes to show how MUCH our government cares😩🤔😣

Like everybody, I started watching your channel accidentally. I’m in that category which thinks that knows to clean like a professional. I have my own tricks and homemade combinations of products.
Add soap
I've read from multiple sources not to use vinegar on hardwood floors since its acidic and will eat away at the finish over time. Vinegar is fine on laminate floor but best just to use dish soap and water and leave out the vinegar on hardwood floors!
Non toxic and brilliant, thank you!
Do these recipes have a “shelf life” or are they to be a one day use cleaner? Thanks. Love your videos. They’ve been very helpful.
The ones that include water usually last somewhere between 2 - 4 weeks (4 weeks is is pushing it, tho...). They start smelling "off" after a while! Tip: make small batches and use super easy recipes that aren't a pain in the behind to refill regularly! Hope this helps :)
Second!!! Not counting the Clean My Space posts😂
I love vinegar + water DIY cleaner and dish soap + water DIY cleaner. I use it in my everyday cleaning routine!
Love from India 🤗
Can this solution be used on high gloss sunmica also??
Thanks for the tips & the time stamps! I wrote down the ones I need to use first! :D
Where is the love button! 😍❤️😍❤️😍
Thank you. I wrote them all down. I'm going to place it somewhere in the kitchen for reference.
Can you please post the text here?
i wonder how many spray bottles Melissa has hahahahah
Love this video. What should use to clean the inside of refrigerator?
Vinegar warm lemon soap water baking soda
You’re adorable. And you’re singlehandedly saving my undomesticated soul.
Lol
I want to buy your book! I found your videos because of Do It On. Dime! Shoutout to two awesome ladies!
Immediately saved to my playlist for future reference. 😁
I use tea tree oil a lot but people in my house don’t like the smell so I add lime oil...smells great 👍
My favorite isn’t mine but rather one of yours, the dawn and hot water method to unclog a toilet!
My favorite cleaning recepie must be combination of baking soda and vinegar to remove discolouration. Be it a stubborn curry stain on my counter top or the nasty marks of urine under the toilet seat, baking soda and vinegar in combination with a trusty cleaning toothbrush has yet to let me down :)
I learned it from you, and was even able to impress my Mother in Law with it - she is a fan of it too now :)
So helpful... 👌it would be great if u mention how long/days the DIY cleaners can be used for???
The ones that include water usually last somewhere between 2 - 4 weeks (4 weeks is is pushing it, tho...). They start smelling "off" after a while! Tip: make small batches and use super easy recipes that aren't a pain in the behind to refill regularly! Hope this helps :)
My favorite one is the disinfectant spray The hand sanitizer in the all purpose cleaner
I love your diy products. I can’t wait to try this.
I should apply your dy to use on my work. Thank you💖
Great video ! I use a few of these items, but I like that the items are easy to find.
The daily shower spray is so crazy easy and since I began using it, a couple of months ago, I haven’t had to clean my shower!!!! Thank you!
Peroxide is the only thing you’d have to use right away. It starts turning into water and oxygen right away.
Do you have videos on how to clean my cleaning products 😂 towels, sponges etc and how to keep them
Nada Allam i want it too
th-cam.com/video/RjEes3PosPU/w-d-xo.html this a is video she did awhile ago. However in a most recent video, she suggests to toss your sponges after a week or so based on new research
Pour vinegar on your sponge and microwave it.
Vinegar cheap conditioner
Question: how long the cleaners in the spray bottles last? I have the impression you do small quantities instead of bigger batches to store?
And the cleaners in the little containers, are they done just for each one time application?
Thank you for the video, simple stuff and very useful!
I am so delighted I found your channel, and all your focus on simple cleaners. 💖💕 I don't think it was Fate though... I was trying to get more info on floor mops through an online store... and the next time I went to TH-cam... there was your terrific video on the various types of mops! 🙄😉😂💖
Lâu lắm rồi mới được nghe lại bài này. Hay lắm ạ 😘
I like to add 15 drops of lavender oil, top up with water in a 500 ml spray bottle, I use on my stove n kitchen bench tops. Is a good grease cleaner, and smells great too. Also can use as a air refresher!
I make lemon and water it works really good I love watching your videos hope to see more
I tried a commercial glass cleaner and got a headache after just 2-3 sprays of the product. Some room sprays cause me headaches too. I find your product ideas helpful.
These tips will come in handy in my new apartment which is down the hall from the elevators.
I'll use the disinfectant on the buttons for sure. LOL!
AWESOME video! Thanks! Any tips on keeping your cleaners organized? 😍😀
Hi Melissa, I thanked God for you today, your videos are helping me change my life! Will you please tell me your favorite essential oils that you use in your own DIY products?
Peppermint choc vanilla or cheap lemon soap
My favorite oven cleaner that also works well on old sheet pans or skillets is just baking soda and vinegar, mix well to a paste, let it sit and everything comes back looking brand new.
I always love your DIY cleaning solutions paired with my microfiber clothes!
This video couldn’t have come at a better time. Just found out I’m pregnant and need cleaning alternatives to my traditional bleach. Thank you
Hey, you should research which essential olis are safe for pregnant women if you are going to use them, just a friendly reminder :)
Ps congratulations 🥳
Gosh, where did you get that adorable spray bottle ? I want one too 😀
I have been using the produce wash and I like it, it seems better than the store-bought brand.
For the cleaners using dish soap - do you have to rinse after wiping?
Nope, the amount of soap is low, so no rinsing is needed.
No
Thank you! One nice collection for all my cleaning solution questions 🙏🏻
Love your channel. Lot's of money savers here!! Thank you!
Is the recipe for cleaning engineered hardwood floors the same as for real hardwood floors? Thanks so much. You've been so helpful in reducing the number of products I use, not to mention saving me money. Thanks!
Great video, absolutely loved it!!! Thank you so much!
TIA!
Put in washer withwater running in
Thank you so much for posting, really appreciate it!
Thank you so much. You are always very helpful 😊🙏🏻
Hi Melissa 🤗😘 What can i use if i don't have borax? Where i live is hard to find. Thank you so much for the video,i write all the recipes in my " clean my space" mini notebook,i use most of them to clean around the house,my favorite is the toilet cleaner, is really working. Thank you 🤗😘
You don't need borax just use white vinegar...
Videos with Kitty cameos! 😻.Yes!
Btw-I would love more videos on using essential oils for cleaning!
Hey Melissa, in my city essentials oils are expensive so I buy those very simple all purpose cleanser for smell, it takes a year or more to finish the bottle. 😬
Lol.........like we can't tell that dish soap is Dawn!!
😂🤣😂🤣😂👍🏾
Actually, DAWN & TIDE are the worst TOXIC CHEMICALS declare Safe by the CDC/ GOVERNMENT. EVEN though Americans Love these products , they ARE BAD for us. Just goes to show how MUCH our government cares😩🤔😣
This is amazing. Seriously. Thank you!
Hi I'm new to the channel! I'd LOVE to see a deep clean of your glass cooktop. I struggle to clean mine
