@@Agent_3141I've had that issue too, no one joining if someone leaves. I wondered if it was on my end making me worry if I have bad internet or something and just no one can join for some reason.
The really dick move is when someone shoots you after you've gotten into the dropship so you alone don't extract and then they kick you. There should be a punishment that kind of behavior in particular I think.
Yeah. I've been kicked a small handful of times. Generally, I don't care. They need to make room for a friend, or whatever. I'd do it too. But that type of kicking at the end or rudely kicking mid-game, I've almost never seen. Definitely unsportsmanlike.
@@Dgalvez420 you are one in a million if you do that. It's rare to see a kicker with humility. I stand by my own rule of NEVER kicking, because try-hards have kicked me so often during the pre-mission lobby
I joined a difficulty level 8 game and we spent the entire time literally hitting every sub objective on the map. We collected tons of samples, maybe around 30-40. The 2 other randoms and I were kicked as the shuttle was landing. The host kicked us at the end of a near perfect match. That pissed me off. I host my own games, or join only friends now.
Honestly I’m guilty of doing that once. My buddy got on and our squad wanted him to get in on the samples. I really feel like most of these kicks come from nepotism (for lack of a better word)
I’ve only kicked three people ever so far lol the community is so great there’s really no need to kick anybody. Getting killed by a teammates stragems every couple of seconds? Just stick to running around to the other areas of the map and do the side objectives and have that guy focus on main! Or if you’re the guy who accidentally teams kills, have someone come with you and the other two do what I just mentioned! No need to kick unless someone’s being a dick. As to why I kicked the three people, two of them were had join when I had already finished the main objectives with my buddy who was new (the guys that joined were very obviously not new) we had 28 minutes on the clock left and these guys joined and went straight to extract when I typed out and even switched to voice chat and told them we were sample hunting for my buddy and I. I figured they were just calling it in and gonna have it hover and shoot enemies but not. They got on. So I kicked them. We lost all the samples because they started the countdown timer and we were on the far side of the map. The other guy joined me on a defense mission and just stood there AFK and his mortal kept killing my other random teammate and almost Killing me bc he put it in a bad spot so I destroyed it and he finally stops being afk and KILLS ME lmao so I kicked him 😂
@@atomicoxygen2440I mean what can they do to keep you from respawning. majority of the matches I’m the better player lol, so they all die I respawn, it’s amusing seeing sucky players suck thinking they’re good.
@y0utubedude96 They can't really sabotage much at that point. Completed main objective is a mission completion. Extraction is optional. If they are being toxic, then just keep them dead. I don't have time for toxic people, they reap what they sow. Deep Rock is also one of the least toxic games I have played and the toxic players tend to call themselves out in multiple way so they are easily avoidable. Level requirements are cringe, I'll carry green beards all day every day.
Bro I got kicked like an hour ago,I’m lvl 50 completely topped off on medals and materials. So I try and help low lvl players out.Misson was launch icbm, they kept on fighting patrols so I did all the objectives alone, even found the rare materials..then got kicked by the host right before boarding the pelican.Toxic behavior for sure..that needs to stop.
block them and let them rot alone forever. problems is, that when you aren't the team captain, there is no way to know who is, unless asking to all other 3 players
i think that would be helpful. the game may autokick if a friend is joining or invited to join. if that were the case and was told so, i doubt i'd be that mad or frustrated. "oh, understandable. good fighting patriots" and then just move on.
Just go to social and look up who you just played with, there is a timer next to their name so its easy to figure out who are the assholes who kicked you.
Sometimes it says that someone killed you, when in reality they didnt. Also end screen might often show 0 in team damage, even though youve seen a person kill you several times. Those bugs might get the host to kick someone, if the text says a person killed him, maybe even several times, when they didnt.
@@jackvoss1527 What they are referring to is that there is no way your teammate could of possibly killed you and you still get told a teammate took you out. For example be on the other side of the map collecting things while your team handles the objectives and get killed by a charger or something random, and instead of being told it was a charger attack or something else, it clearly shows a player took you out. Which implies, there is something buggy with the system registering this stuff, or that something is glitching and causing the other player to kill you in some odd way while they were clearly not even trying to.
I had a host i joined on that was using the explosive assault rifle from the premium pass. Couldn’t understand that he was killing me with it every time he was shooting bugs near me. Host can be totally wrong. Just gotta deal with it atm
@@davidwhite206 I think he's just throwing the idea out there as something they could do but tbh they need to fix sos call in first don't think anyone has ever joined an sos of my so I don't think they work very well 🤷
My suggestion as a solution is to monitor the people who kick repetitively. Put them in different lobbies with people who kick. Set the condition as an average kick over a period of time. If it's above a certain percentage, then they go into the kickers group. If they stop, they will be let back into the overall pool. If they persist, they stay in the group. It will at least reduce the frequency of trolling. I also think a lot of people just genuinely don't know that samples, medals, credits, and super credits are shared. I had a level 17 ask me that. CEO needs to put out a statement to explain how all that works.
The thing is only one of these kickers is host, I doubt people who kick repetitively want to not be host and will probably start their own mission, the CEO only posts on the Twitter and Discord (along with steam store page) which doesnt include most of the playerbase
@@darkstormww7479 I don't know if this is actually build in the system that a person commented, but I like the comment by starsixseven. If its combined with the above suggestions. Those who kick often should have no players joining them/responding to their Sos. Maybe some sort of cooldown before matchmaking is enabled for them again.
Could also make it so that those who kick way too much get blocked off of hosting games. That way they don’t have the option to kick. A mix of this and @BC-vv3ot’s suggestion could work too. Block them off from hosting games and also put them in lobbies with others who kick a lot. That way they get a taste of their own medicine. Although I don’t know how someone would implement that system. It’s not also without faults, cause you would also need a way to differentiate between unwarranted kicks and kicks that are justified (griefers, trolls, generally unpleasant people in voice chat). So that the ones who are kicking for the right reasons don’t get punished for it.
Yep, was playing with a friend earlier and we QP’d into a match. Got to extraction and the hosts friend was constantly blowing me up with a grenade launcher then proceeded to kick me when I asked he dude to stop. Friend didn’t get kicked so he killed them both, lost all their samples and got revenge for me.
Suicide diffuculty mission, everyone loads into hellpods. They're all under level 20, and im level 22. Host disengages hellpods and starts screwing around looking at other planets. No big deal, I just walk back to look at strategems and suddenly the host gets off the mission terminal, stares at me, and then kicks me for having the audacity to go do something else while they waste everyones time.
I've experienced this. One time I'm certain it was because I joined a match that was almost over (even tho on the map it said they were 6 mins in) and they prob just didn't want me to benefit at the last min. Still lame. Another time it's because I dropped into complete chaos and immediately died. Then they respawned me directly into the middle of chaos and I died again, so I was never able to get any strats called down. Kicked. I kinda get it, but if they'd called me farther out so I could actually live more than 30 secs, I would've been able to contribute. Their poor decision got me killed that time, not me.
There are quite a few impatient people in this game. That same impatience is often what contributes to them getting shrek’d without the overtuned railgun build, I’ve found, due to them constantly bum-rushing packs of enemies.
@@rhetro777 Plus that late joiner may be a big difference to finishing the mission or even extracting. Seen that a lot, done that a lot. Got kicked once exactly for that, making the actual difference. This stung more than getting kicked for speaking English which host disliked and told me that directly.
Getting kicked after a 40 minute game, right before extract and not getting any rewards for it is the biggest bullshit ever... Here are my points on how to solve this: 1. Give kicked people all samples, medals, credits and slips you have found so far 2. You cannot kick people the moment extraction phase has started 3. You cannot invite friends to your game the moment extraction phase has started (some people use this to quickly kick a random player and invite a friend to get all the rewards of the mission instead) 4. As the kicked person make it so you are never queued up with this host again (blacklist) 5. Flag people that tend to kick a lot with a small symbol (like a skull that gets increasingly more "red" the more they do it.
They should add a second layer to the kick menu. You can’t just kick. You have to select a reason from a pulldown menu as to why. If someone is being careless and TK’s multiple times you can use that option. If someone is AFK or kiting enemies into the red of the team you can select that. If you’re a toxic elitist kicking for load out or level reasons you are basically flagging yourself.
I hope so. Me and my friends had some random in our game, a 30 year old with kids! And we're a bunch of seniors in highschool. He was awesome to play with and i just couldnt imagine we just kicked him the second he joined or even before extraction

one thing I would suggest is a kick limit. It's a bit on the risky side but it would cause some to weight if kicking you is a good option. Your kick limit would of course would reset after some time but if you are reaching a high kick rating then your limit of allowed kicks will be reduce. The goal of this is so people only get kicked for good reasons and not because they just feel like it.
This honestly seems like one of the best options. I wouldn't necessarily consider it on the risky side as well. Yes, some people might get unlucky and get toxic Helldivers consecutively but let's be honest most of the community is not that toxic so the chances are low. And even if it happens it will only serve to dissuade future kicks. One thing to consider is that people might try to get around this, for example by disconnecting and reconnecting again. Also the real competitive players might find it harder to create a meta lobby, but I guess they can always ask people nicely and try to find like-minded people instead of instantly kicking. Though some might get even more toxic instead.
The fact that the game doesn’t have an easy to find “friend only lobby” button, is what has lead to a majority of mine and my friends kicks. Our friends will be 99% ready to join and a random will join and we have to kick him. Players should not be able to join unless you actively make it so they can (SOS beacon and whatnot)
Rather than limit your kicks. Just make it where if you kick too many times the game just wont give you new players or itll put you at the bottom of the list of matchmaking
@@BitTheByte Well actually it's fairly easy to find, I'm just gonna assume your on Playstation because its extremely obvious if you've ever played any other multiplayer PC game.
I've only kicked people when I forgot to change the visibility from public to friends-only when in the ship. If I notice it doing a mission, I will not kick them, as they are already in the mission at this point. Personally I don't care if people are new or experienced, as long as people don't grief I don't care what happens. If we loose, we loose. It's all fine. I'm not playing to win every time, I play to have fun.
I've only kicked one person mid-mission, and they were a menace. My buddy and I spent half the mission clock managing them and their messes and finally just kicked them so we could get to the objectives.
My favorite moments are when the last guy manages to hoof it to the dropped super samples, jukes around 5 Bile Titans back to the landing pad, dives through a swarm of hunters to the drop ship ramp, then is killed unceremoniously by a random exploding barrel that flings him like a ballistic mannequin. The random horrors of war are hilarious in this game.
Had a game where we loaded onto the map. Jokingly said “nothing like a fresh cup of liberty in the morning” as we got out of pods. 5 seconds later I was kicked.
It's quite sad how communities are really vulnerable to these kind of folks. I'm glad that the developers are actively trying to solve it, because it's a problem that, if it gets too prevalent, will just push nice players away and increasingly you'll be left with just the toxic ones.
I got kicked because the host stupidly ran their mech into a bug swarm and got insta-killed. I said, "Ha! Wow!" When I reinforced, the host tried to land on me, failed, and then kicked me. Considering I was the only one on the team who was doing anything to further the mission, I don't think it ended well for them.
It's funny when you're the one making the major difference and they kick you. I chuckle cuz know they won't survive extract(on IMPOSSIBLE lvl) because you kept reviving them and slowing ads down with EMS utilities so they won't panic and wipe 😂
today I played with bunch idiots who dropped cluster bombs on each other and have used all the respawns, when I said them not to do that they just kicked me, they were lv 30 btw, i hope they failed the mission due to run out of the reinforcements
With the level of disconnects that have been happening I think a notable portion of these random kicks is because you've been thrown onto a team where a friend has just DC'd. Happened to me just last night, buddy DC'd and before he could reboot the game a new player was dropping in.
I Had Times where i could Not Play becouse i could Not Join my Friends load into Mission playing in a different Dimension loading into a Mission with No items or getting kicked from the Game 18 Times in a Mission with Friends everytine WE complet a objektive Like destroy a Bug Nest 😂
This. I play with guys from discord server, and when someone getting DCs from session it's not unusual for randos to take his spot. I'll try to apologise every time that i ave to kick them. Still feels bad tho.
I think there are two things they can do to help improve the experience, make it a vote and not host only option and make it more clear there is a way to keep randoms from joining your game, some people kick for a friend or they don't want others in their game but don't realize you can go toggle the privacy to "Friends Only". You have to make those sorts of options front and center for people.
I was carrying the game as a lvl 35 in a difficulity 5 mission with some newer players. Never TK'ed them, always called in reinforcement immediately and early. Barely died but they still kicked me when the extraction arrived. Fk them. Terrible people.

@@sirgaz8699I’ve kicked someone who called for extraction while the rest of the team was on the other side of the map doing secondaries with 25+ min left.
@@BlackPawGamingProblem with doing that is the extraction becomes way more difficult for the kicker if that happens, they’d be one or more players down during extraction which is easily one of the most hectic parts during gameplay where you need your team.
My style of play is more objective focused. I let my teammates chase after bulk kills while I bring strategems specifically to make life easier during objectives and evacuations. I do make it a point to help take down bigger threats when possible. I am usually the player with the lowest death and accidental count in most matches. Team friendly build and play but I still seem to get kicked from time to time. I don't the reason why. I just wish they have an option to give the reason. A much prefer a kicker giving a valid reason versus not knowing.
I got shoved off a cliff as the Pelican was landing by the rando Super Citizen who ran the lobby. He then dropped a 380 on the ramp, hopped into the shuttle, and waited for me to die trying to get back on. It was shenanigans and I get it, but kicking me right afterwards did have me wondering if I was truly that bad at the game for a few minutes. Then I remembered that I dwarfed his kills in the prior Eradicate mission by simply walking off the top platform and holding an entire side with an Arc Thrower and a few Eagle strikes and it all made sense.
I remember when I was level 5 and very new to the game, (I just didn't know all the features or that several pieces of loot don't spawn naturally in the middle of no-where) with another teammate who was level 2 and a third who was 10. The level 10 was the only one with a mic, and while we were clearing a Mpoi, I threw a strategem and accidentally killed both of them. I did immediately attempt to redeploy before going over, while he was saying "don't take my stuff". The thing was that I didn't know it was his stuff at the time, I thought that it was just normal loot that spawned because we were at a Mpoi. Well the level 2 did the same and then he teamkilled the level 2, then me to get his boostpack back, then refused to redeploy us for the entirety of the mission saying how "oh I can't trust you guys anymore to not take my stuff. I'm not going to redeploy you because of that". I would've kicked him if it was my mission but sadly it wasn't. Thankfully he wasn't as smart as he thought he was and didn't know how to do it and I just sat their in the dead screen until the mission ended so I still got some reward.
One guy kick me out of the game for the samples, basically we were in an automatons game. we were practically flooded with enemies, almost at the extraction he asks me to help him recover some common samples from the other side of the map. so I told him no, I had some super rare samples with me. I asked for an extraction, and he kicked me out of the game. by the way I completed the main mission alone while he wasted time with the bot outposts
@@-Arv Agreed. When the group I played with started doing Suicide and up when we needed purples, we all were in agreeance in that we'll do side objectives.. IF they're on the way to the objective or are to good to pass up on(SEAF, Radar, etc), or need to be taken care of first before the main objective(AA emplacement, or jammer close to main objective/extract, stalker or medium/heavy nest near by), and if we come across purples, nothing else matters, main objective only and gtfo.
@@BurritoKilla Fucking this. And the fact that the longer you are in a mission, the more dangerous/harder it becomes because enemy presence increases, and on higher difficulties, it just gets insane. So many people do not either know or realize this.
For the super samples I’ve been doing the 12 minute missions and waiting out the timer. Only once so far have I stealth left with the supers, starting to think it was shear luck or it has something to do with how many players start the mission since I had one friend join part way in
I keep getting kicked near the end of matches or right at the extraction so the host can invite their friends. CAN WE HAVE A TAG NEXT TO PLAYER NAMES WITH THEIR KICK COUNT # so I know not to join those people
For the solution i think you can put the form after the match so the host that has kicked people would explain why they did it. You might think thats nothing but players would see the form and do a self reflection on why they kick and will more likely do it less if they won’t see their reason option on the screen. Also it would be annoying the more you kick. P.S. Also you can find people that actually grief during the game
They would just lie about the reason. Had a host kill me for not emoting cause a patrol creeped up on us so I putted keeping us alive over the emote, this pissed me off so when me ( in a mech ) and rest of the team caught up with him at evac I shot him with a missile and he kicked me instantly. If your form idea was in the game he would report me for griefing even though noting would've happened if he hadn't killed me first.
I was in one of those games featured in your vid eo. I was also kicked but 3/4 through the actual mission. There are some bad eggs out there. Whilst I don't proclaim to be a ninja at the game, I pull my weight as spread liberty as much as the next guy. There definitely needs to be a system in place to stop this.
I don't think you are physically getting kicked from other players but disconnected and the game is telling the wrong reason. At least not all the time. Happens sometimes. I got DCed from a game while playing with friends static and it said I got kicked. After I restarted the game they invited me again and told me. Kicking other people also doesn't help. You just lose firepower and samples. And on higher dif, finding more people to join is rare. Each player also gives 5 revives (6 with booster), so just positives.
The kicking is still an issue.. Im new and accidently killed my whole team with an explosion and not even seconds later the host removes me without any warning or second chances
I hate this. I keep missing out on the samples and xp like this. Recently I even responded to an SOS beacon of 1 guy (the host therefore...) and the gall they had to kick me right before the mission was done.
Had a host boot me on the mission after I dominated a level 7 Eradicate. He let me get the rewards, but I suspect he was both salty and expected me to match that same performance in a “Destroy Bases” mission where they kept running headlong into enemy patrols and doing “stand-and-fight” plays against bots.
@@OneBiasedOpinionI don’t think some people understand ,on the higher difficulty settings especially, you have got to keep moving and that getting into drawn out fights with patrols is not ideal.
@@bartell20j No...not in that way. I'll give you an example, at raid night, people were expecting other player to have gear and ilvl of gear too high for the general normal player. They were requiring people to be as eddicient as if you had a static raid group, but the party finder is for the people who dont have a static raid grouo. Same thing is gonna happen here. People will request specific build and what not. The toxicity and the meta players, which are nubs and unskill players hiding behind stat, will mever change. This would only make it harder for everyone to be in a group. It is not a solution. It will create another problem.
More and more I encounter kicking as a problem (similarly to playing as the 1 and qing normals in league w the other 4 just troll you). Let me explain: Just now, I joined a group, and one of them kept setting me on fire on purpose w the flame thrower (no bugs around, chasing me and tapping it). No worries, I just stimmed and dove 4 times in a row. on the 5th time, I shot him to death. Insta kicked. yesterday, I played with 3 ppl in a grp again, and we did an entire mission. 0 team kills on me, and at the extraction they call mechs and all shoot me. After that, they kick me when the ship is landing. That marks the second time i was proactively getting samples, and im getting kicked as the ship is leaving just for the fucks of it. Now im sure the ppl in discord are giggling, but its experience ruining, and a waste of 40 minutes of my life. There should be a vote, or repercussions for kicking for no reason. Like I should be able to report the behaviours I listed above.
Best solution for it is to become the host of the game. So u have full control. For me the best solution in case u get kicked from a game is to give portion of the round's reward to u for ur contribution (Depending for the objective complete, friendly fire rate and enemy kills), so u dont literally come out without being rewarded at all. Well I guess Arrowhead need AI analytics help to make this metrics XD

I was playing with my friend when we were level 15 or so and we joined super high-level dude's lobby. He was very chill and kicked only person who purposly kiled teammates. The game is very popular and there are different kinds of players but overall community is great. Also sometimes you have to kick player to make some room for your friend who try to join.
if they have manners, which they should, they can inform the player in the chat or even Mic BEFORE kicking for your freaking friends or make private lobby game which is available.
They could add a ban list for the host for equipment and stratigems. And kicks themselves could have prerequisites like X amount of deaths and/or teamkills. They should definitely make it impossible to kick someone after the mission objective finishes or at the very least load up an new instance of the mission instead of getting booted back to your ship
I personally wouldn't mind if the stronger robot enemies pulled a Gears of War, and had some of the unit say a phrase/do an expression to indicate they are about to fire
Same happened here probably my low level.. The lobbys around the planet need to be marked with something like "welcome all" "Rank X required" "Stratigen X only" Discord/teamspeak required" etc. vote kick when extraction is enabled. every body loses what they've collected.
I quit last night because I got kicked 7 times in a row… I’m level 50 and I PTO like a mofo! The difficulty I had the least kicks on was Helldive but it still happened there too. One time I cleared 2 stalkers nests a broadcast tower and ALL 3 egg hives solo and then got kicked… I had the 6 super rare mats too… I’m capped on all materials and medals I’m only playing for fun and farming super credits and I still can’t get a game without some nob giving me the boot…
Reasons I think are more than valid for being kicked: They were waiting for a reconnecting friend. They would like to play with levels around their own. No mic. Hotmic. Not being a team player. Poor performance *that puts the entire mission at risk. *There is probably many more valid reasons I haven't thought of. Honestly, just start your own lobby. No need to punish people for wanting to choose their own squad. If they change anything, I'm not gonna help randoms anymore. Simple as. If it becomes a vote-kick thing, imma just play solo or with friends only. *And to Pile's thing about "not making sense"; a railgun acting like a nerfgun (Railguns are crazy dangerous and doesn't need to charge like they do in the game. They can also be dangerous to the user if not calibrated correctly, but the battery pack is the only thing that can actually explode) and a shield that doesn't really protect you (You can die really easily, even with it. It's only effective against small low difficulty enemies) doesn't make sense either. A lot of stuff in the game doesn't make sense. It's a game. Also, does that mean recoilless rifle need to be nerfed now as well, since that's "the way to do it"? Think kinda just makes me think that they don't actually know wtf they're doing or what they want and that the game got too big for them. *edit
I'd like to think I just get kicked because the host wanted to bring a friend in. Like you've mentioned in the video, it is quite noticeable maybe 1 in 20 games for me.
I have been kicked multiple times from 30+ minute games where I am litteral heading towards evac ship and get booted. I dont know if it was a person trolling, but wasting 40 minutes on a mission and then getting no medals and samples has killed my desire to play this game, which is sad cause I really enjoy it but just I keep having my time wasted.
I've been playing for 200+ hours and this has never happened to me. Do you have a mic? Are you communicating with your team? I feel like this needs more context. I'm not saying it didn't happen to you but more than once? I've literally never experienced this, not even once in probably 300-400 missions
@lightsflashnow I play on ps5, so the mic is always on, and I don't mute (unless there are loud noises in the background.) Most of the game I play others have their mic muted or just don't speak that much. Yeah, but it is always at the evac phase, either defense of the point or getting on to the pelican, I will be kicked never during the mission.
Do you play with TV sound or headphones? Alot of ppl on ps5 and I mean a lot don't realize that all the other players are hearing your TV on the mic. Just a idea.
@benwallace935 I play with TV audio, but I mean, it is a little harsh to kick over that. Why not just send a message in chat? I would have never thought it might be my tv audio.
I mean I wouldn't kick over that I just get on my own mic and say hey your mic is ruff. They usually mute the mic. I just mute my mic from the get go then just unmute when I want to talk.
Well, I am facing a new problem. I always host my own games, but now toxic players have a new way to piss me and everyone off. As soon as I am in the aircraft with two other players, one guy shoots us out of the airplane, losing all the samples. After he kills us, he enters the airplane alone without taking the samples. He probably doesn't need the samples and think its funny taking it away from players.
Primary objectives met, redeploys fully stocked, over 20 minutes left, so naturally we go to work on the side objectives BUT one guy runs far away by himself & calls in extract. Kicked. Couple of small bugs around me, new guy calls in a cluster bomb & kills me. Ok, I let it slide but he does it again when there's no bugs around. Shot & kicked.
First experience in this game I had no idea what I was doing. I followed the host to a bunker, helped him open it, he shot me in the head then kicked from the mission. I was mad at first then laughed my ass off, but it set the tone for other games I would randomly join if I could even join.
I've been kicked right at the dropship before. Why not make it so once you call for the pelican, you can't be kicked anymore? Maybe that isn't "THE" fix but, right at the dropship... Really?
When selecting or searching game modes, they should have these options with Kick optional: Public - Kick Friends - Kick Prioritize Main Objectives - Kick Prioritize Samples - Kick All Objectives Clear - Kick
@@Saberdud Yeah the matchmaking is kinda clunky. At least restarting the game isn't the worst thing after a full operation, might help avoid crashing later.
A couple of suggestions but once the primary objective is complete, kicks should be disabled full stop. At that point nobody should lose rewards and have their time wasted. Additionally you could also have a one-off, 2-3 minute grace period when joining someone else's game, effective immediately after stepping out of the hellpod for the first time, that makes you immune from getting kicked. Gives the player joining the game a chance to either prove their worth and endear themselves to the host + other players, or on the flip side - enough time to know that everyone on that team isn't on the same page and it's best to part ways via a vote kick or by simply leaving the game yourself.
Naw the bigger problem is the crashes and disconnects. The biggest cause of kicks in game is to make room for a friend who crashed. If you join into a match that is in progress and get kicked, you should automatically assume that's what happened.
@@lightsflashnowNo lol, you dont make room for a friend when you have been in full party match for like 30 mins and then kick the person at last second before evacuation. They need to get this kicking thing straight first cause it is a PROBLEM

Or they get butthurt about something. Can't automatically assume anything when there's no way of actually knowing what the reason is behind any given kick after you get dumped back to your ship.
I think this is inevitable when playing with randoms. At some time it will happen to somebody. I believe that the problem could be minimice by fixing the friends list insted of implementing new features.
I've noticed that the community has changed significantly when it comes to team playing. Leaving samples, dropping bombs on your head, not bringing you back in, shouting down the mic and many many more. I love playing as a team as well and when you get a good team, man it rocks
I have a 3 strike rule for airstrike team killing after which you're gone. Ill warn them in chat as well but if you team kill with your gun in a way other then that person running in front of your shot or act like an ass about being warned to be more careful with strikes that's an immediate kick. Also if you eat up 3/4 of the teams reinforcement budget I'm going to boot you between missions on the ship. I think that's more then fair.
Not too long ago i got kicked for carrying the mission i slightly got annoyed cause they stood still on a level 6 difficulty so you must start moving or they keep spawning so i left them to finish the mission got kicked after lol like what must i do stand and die with you?
I had something similar happen to me. Was level 7 mission and the other three guys were burning through so many reinforcements on bullshit that i took it upon myself to stealth my way and my super samples to safety at extraction. Called it down and reinforcement on my position and they got pissed and killed me then kicked. Like wtf?
Mine was only on level 4, but it was so upsetting. We did the entire mission, cleared out all the bases, and when we were about to extract, they killed me, laughed in the mic and then kicked me. The whole mission was silent up to that point, and it came out of nowhere. the host deliberately waited till the very end so I'd waste my time and get absolutely nothing.
I Feel like the Kick option should have a limit of 3-4 kicks before it goes on a 24 hour cooldown for that User/host that way you still have the ability to get rid of problematic players but stop the free pass of kicking for no good reason. It wouldn't stop it from happening sure, but I think it would but less notable when it did happen. Again its hard to come up with something everyone will like.
Do that and suddenly 90% of players s switch to private game mode killing the public matchmaking... Not a good idea. Fix the disconnects and crashes so people don't have to kick the random who joined and took the spot of the friend who crashed and this problem disappears
@@lightsflashnow Players are already going to Private games or hosting themselves because they are getting kicked, the first part of your comment isn't valid. The crashing etc yes for sure needs fixing, but what I have said will not stop you kicking, you still can. All its doing is stopping people from kicking for shits and giggles. I don't want to be in a game for 30+ minutes about to extract and then get kicked for some reason, more than likely for a laugh so the host can get hard and feel something for the first time in their life. Which by the way can happen right now in the game with how kicking works.
@@Mr_Haywire no its not invalid fear of being kicked isnt the only reason. I have to kick people for not working together with me and my friends. Loads of people just screw off and do their own thing. Which be fine if they actually did anything, I cant tell you how many times a guy just joined, died a bunch, and never completed anything. Along with ignoring all the samples. Dont get me started on team killers. Ive opt to just set my lobbies to private to avoid people now and so have my friends. Only recently re opened because there was some bug not letting friends join together. I have given randos a couple chances each but no dice.
Just tried to play. Kicked 4 times in a row: 3 times just as I joined the group (IMMEDIATELY kicked), and once at the end of the fight before going to the ship. It's not my fault what group QUICKPLAY decides to dump me in. I'm only level 8, but it's kinda hard to level up when you keep getting kicked or matches you manually try to join 1/4 are "FULL" when you hit JOIN. At this point, I want my money back.
I've only been kicked while in the ship, and I expect it's because they want to add a friend and are too stupid/lazy to just change their lobby setting. It's very easy to do guys. Other than that I'm sure there's two main kickers; meta slaves who mald that someone will bring Gas orbital into a 7-9 mission, or spite kicking in-mission if they just feel like you tk'd them too often. There's also the bonus just asshole guy who kicks for kicking, but honestly I file them in with the later. I'm glad for the dev response concerning that solo player in Helldiver difficulty. I don't know why people think dropping into a 9 shouldn't be an almost death sentence solo or in a pug. They've said several times now that a 9 is for teams going in with synergistic builds and coordination, and even then it should still be a fight for your life. This has been the foil to all these people crying that "nothing is viable at highest difficulty" and they just don't want to hear it. If they can't run it with Railgun, Shield Gen, and Breaker; they don't care.
Friends get discon, random fills spot. We kick and invite friend back.. yeah shit happens but assuming you get kicken because low level... just host your own game
@@yarnickkreft2755 to be fair tho ppl including myself have been put into private lobbies and earlier today I was doing stratagem heroes and get put in a active mission XD

Am a serious player @level 86 right now. I've joined teams at low and higher levels. But there has been 2 games where I been killed on purpose 3 against 1 or the host at a higher level took it personal cause I've out performed better then them and kicked me off the team to lonely defend myself. Smh.
If people are elitist about certain factors, like loadout, maybe you can select what is not allowed. That way you would not be put into that asshole group in the first place.
I was the highest level player in the game (41). The rest of the team was dying all over and i was the only one rly doing the objective. Than i saw that one of them detonated a rogue hellbomb and killed all 3 of them. I threw them back to their stuff and went on to finish the last objective. When i was about to get there the party leader shot me with his autocannon. After i dropped back in i went to get my stuff back and he killed me again so i asked him why he was doing this and i got kicked... Rly f anoying, carryed the whole mission, got a lot of samples and hadnt died once before he started killing me. 30 min into the game rly?
Kicking from games is why I was only willing to play Left 4 Dead with friends. Seeing as it is in Helldivers 2 has made it so I will *only* play with friends on Helldivers.
Okay, so if you don't want to keep playing missions at the moment and people don't leave what do you do. I've been kicked several times too for no reason but I just make my own lobbies. It doesn't really bother me at all
keep in mind (devils advocate) with the amount of crashes this game has, im willing to bet a percentage of these kicks are a group of friends lost of friend to a crash, and you filled their spot before they could load back into the game. granted if thats the case they should make the lobby with “friends only” idk im just trying to make sense of it.
I think there needs to be a better designation of "kicked" vs "disconnected". I've dropped from the game twice as we were running to extraction. The pelican hadnt been called yet. Both times I was booted back to my own ship, played the unfreeze animation and everything but there was no yellow "you've been kicked" notification. Im wondering if either the game doesnt always notify you if you're kicked or there is something happening with game stability for people near extraction?
Crap thing is im level 25 not op but have enough to help i go out and respond to SOS, and over 75% of them kick on sight like my divers. You called for help
I just started today on level 2 and when i click quick play i got kicked ASAP. Maybe they should give host power to manage what level did they expect from random
It’s used to be the same issues in Outrides get kick out by the host at the end of the mission as a result the dev has made it were once the mission started you longer can kick players out anymore. You can only kick players out before the start of the mission.
I've been kicked twice tonight. Each time I had collected plenty of samples and cleared out many enemies without team killing. It typically happens AFTER the objectives have been completed.
Being kicked at the end of the match is crazy and the person is just being a dickhead at the point make it where you can’t get kicked if 5 or 10 minutes have passed in the mission before that or on the ship especially should be fine
If you keep kicking people, there will be nobody left to play with, how about if you host the game and everybody leaves you in worst of times, and I shared my shield stratagem with them...
Something funny I did notice is that the frequency of me getting instantly kicked damn near stopped once I reached max lvl (50, before newest update). Like some people don’t even give you a chance if you’re not above at least 45 lmao. And I mean instant kick, like before I could reach the ground in my hellpod instant.
It's simple once you get kicked out of a game being in-game an actual lobby. If you get booted you will get the rewards from that mission complete or failure. Like a major order completion you'll get the results later. I've had to kick people out just to make room for my friends but only for the lobby. I am not going to screw nobody over that's in my game.
Never put kick option in games or it will always be abused. Disband entire group. Then block/blacklist the abusive player who is team killing in an egregious manner.
Yeah, this is crazy tonight. I was playing highest level in the group had all up All the samples and was kicked at the last minute. 40 minute spent all that hard work and kicked.
The only thing you can do is host everytime and kick everyone right before exfil and leave with the samples by yourself. Make the game unplayable until they fix the problem.
8:30 I think that lowering arms and leaning foward is more than enough warning, with hulks it doesnt matter because if theres a hulk you have to deal with 2000 rocket devs which cannot be taken out by a single orbital rail strike
This is why I host my own games, so I know I won't be kicked, and nobody else has to worry either.

Block the host and you'll never see them again. This is a small group of toxic players and blocking works
Bro that same exact shit happened to me. To make it worse, the game before that, I lagged out
Honestly I’m guilty of doing that once.
The other guy joined me on a defense mission and just stood there AFK and his mortal kept killing my other random teammate and almost Killing me bc he put it in a bad spot so I destroyed it and he finally stops being afk and KILLS ME lmao so I kicked him 😂
They could do it like Deep Rock Galactic where you can no longer be kicked oncd you finish the main objective.
Yeah, and imagine that they kill you and don't want to respawn you. They need to do something that will let you respawn automatically after like 1 min
Level requirements are cringe, I'll carry green beards all day every day.

block them and let them rot alone forever. problems is, that when you aren't the team captain, there is no way to know who is, unless asking to all other 3 players

One good suggestion I've seen is to add "kicked by whom" data to recent players menu . Then you can see who kicked you and block the f**ker
Thata the right solution imo.

Sometimes it says that someone killed you, when in reality they didnt. Also end screen might often show 0 in team damage, even though youve seen a person kill you several times. Those bugs might get the host to kick someone, if the text says a person killed him, maybe even several times, when they didnt.
Yes seen this a lot today
Saying a player killed me , who was across the map clearing elsewhere , no mines or turrets at all
Being killed by your teammates seem to happen at times, to everyone
Been killed by myself quite a bit more than I am comfortable with, especially when the weapon I'm using is a bug claw to my face.
The more often you kick people, the less frequently your SOS beacon/matchmaking will be answered.

Maybe some sort of cooldown before matchmaking is enabled for them again.
taste their own medicine
No big deal, I just walk back to look at strategems and suddenly the host gets off the mission terminal, stares at me, and then kicks me for having the audacity to go do something else while they waste everyones time.
Big facts 😂
In my head, you were kicked for not having enough drip. Much like the Ginyu Force, you have to be fly as fuck to roll with his squad.
Maybe dont join a suicidal at lvl 22, deserved
Getting kicked because your team is incompetent is anoying.
Kicking a late joiner just so they won't get rewards is some petty hater shit. It's not like the rest of the squad gets less.
@@rhetro777 Plus that late joiner may be a big difference to finishing the mission or even extracting. Seen that a lot, done that a lot. Got kicked once exactly for that, making the actual difference. This stung more than getting kicked for speaking English which host disliked and told me that directly.
You guys remember old school r6 siege? Toxic 4 stacks would kick the random every single game till they removed the feature.
Getting kicked after a 40 minute game, right before extract and not getting any rewards for it is the biggest bullshit ever...
Here are my points on how to solve this:
1. Give kicked people all samples, medals, credits and slips you have found so far
2. You cannot kick people the moment extraction phase has started
3. You cannot invite friends to your game the moment extraction phase has started (some people use this to quickly kick a random player and invite a friend to get all the rewards of the mission instead)
4. As the kicked person make it so you are never queued up with this host again (blacklist)
If you’re a toxic elitist kicking for load out or level reasons you are basically flagging yourself.
the game is too popular and popularity chasers are toxic bunch. once it loses its popularity it's gonna be fine

Nah just make some friends lol

Had people tell me before and say ggs gotta a friend joining doesn't take two mins ,
😂 They already have a friends only setting.
@@CowboyRei Yeh but if you only play with 1 friend and want 2 randoes you can't use friends only.
@@sirgaz8699I’ve kicked someone who called for extraction while the rest of the team was on the other side of the map doing secondaries with 25+ min left.
Easy way to solve the kick on retrieval trolling is make it so that once the Pelican is called, no kicking allowed.
they will kick you before call. so nothing change.
Did you even waste time to think that bullshit?
@@StefanonimoThis an issue that happens to you a lot? Must be your winning personality. Take a breath and get a grip Alice.
What if I want to kick them BECAUSE they summoned the pelican?
Too many people rush to leave with 20+ minutes left in the match.
1:56 This might be just them thinking that you were afk or still buying things
The 4th guy immedietally was teleported into the pod
One guy kick me out of the game for the samples, basically we were in an automatons game. we were practically flooded with enemies, almost at the extraction he asks me to help him recover some common samples from the other side of the map. so I told him no, I had some super rare samples with me. I asked for an extraction, and he kicked me out of the game.
by the way I completed the main mission alone while he wasted time with the bot outposts
Super rares are worth just getting the fuck out of there as soon as the mission is done.
People love risking like 30 samples to complete 20 xp side objectives, it make me cry
CAN WE HAVE A TAG NEXT TO PLAYER NAMES WITH THEIR KICK COUNT # so I know not to join those people
update. this issue is still ongoing. 2/3 of games i play i get kicked...
"oh but then u can finish it on your own"
.....yeah.....no
For the solution i think you can put the form after the match so the host that has kicked people would explain why they did it. You might think thats nothing but players would see the form and do a self reflection on why they kick and will more likely do it less if they won’t see their reason option on the screen. Also it would be annoying the more you kick.
P.S. Also you can find people that actually grief during the game
Dont think that would work, they just tick some random reason and type in the box "he did 9/11" cause they wont care
the griefers would just tick the random box of any reason and in explanation type something stupid like "he did 9 11" cause they dont care
@@Arganith that is the worst weak idea I heard in long time.. go play cod bro seriously
@@browhatwhereOne of the griefers has come here, you mad?
I’m pretty sure you’re right. Even when I’m host I seem to DC or my game crashes like 1 out of 4 matches.
Higher player count unfortunately also means More shit spawns in to kill you. So its not Just positives.
The kicking is still an issue.. Im new and accidently killed my whole team with an explosion and not even seconds later the host removes me without any warning or second chances
I hate this. I keep missing out on the samples and xp like this. Recently I even responded to an SOS beacon of 1 guy (the host therefore...) and the gall they had to kick me right before the mission was done.
sometimes I swear I've been kicked for playing too well even when I'm the same level as everyone else
Especially if u got a lot of kills they’ll kick

Let me explain:
Just now, I joined a group, and one of them kept setting me on fire on purpose w the flame thrower (no bugs around, chasing me and tapping it).
Well I guess Arrowhead need AI analytics help to make this metrics XD
thats not a solution.
the only times ive had to kick is when someone is consistently throwing stratagems up our ass cheeks and losing all our reinforcements
To solve devastator rockets just release armor with a scramble perk that reduces their accuracy

@@BlackPawGamingAgreed!
I only kick people who have a hot mic and I can hear their kid bashing their toy trains together in the background.
There is an option to lower the mic volume of each player in the party
you can mute ppl.
Reasons I think are more than valid for being kicked:
They were waiting for a reconnecting friend.
*edit
"Vote Kick" system is the best option for now.
no its not
Could be an option, like the cross play.
It won't impact the kicking much, only make it feel worse. As stylosa said in the video people just kick by default
@whitejack9032 Got any better ideas or are you just being a contrarian!?
@siro1n If they got kicked for no reason themselves they won't kick for no reason either.
I'd like to think I just get kicked because the host wanted to bring a friend in. Like you've mentioned in the video, it is quite noticeable maybe 1 in 20 games for me.
Most of my kicks have happened between missions, which makes me think it’s to make room for a friend.
Shot & kicked.
same, and it's always a low level idiot that uses cluster bombs kills everybody including himself
I have people wait till we are about to extract and then they kick. Happend twice in an hour.
First experience in this game I had no idea what I was doing. I followed the host to a bunker, helped him open it, he shot me in the head then kicked from the mission. I was mad at first then laughed my ass off, but it set the tone for other games I would randomly join if I could even join.
I've only kicked one person, and that was for repeated team killing.
I've been kicked right at the dropship before. Why not make it so once you call for the pelican, you can't be kicked anymore? Maybe that isn't "THE" fix but, right at the dropship... Really?
When selecting or searching game modes, they should have these options with Kick optional:
Public - Kick
Friends - Kick
Prioritize Main Objectives - Kick
Prioritize Samples - Kick
All Objectives Clear - Kick
host the game and you wont get kicked just select a mission when youre the only player on your ship and get the pods ready then people can join in
One problem with that, you’ll have to exit the game or kick everyone when you want to play with randoms again
@@Saberdud Yeah the matchmaking is kinda clunky. At least restarting the game isn't the worst thing after a full operation, might help avoid crashing later.
doesnt fix the problem, and if everyone is only hosting to kick or for being scared to get kicked out of game... we play all alone then.
@@lightsflashnow Or that the host forgot to change their party settings to private before starting the mission. Or they don't like your playstyle/how you're going about things. Or they get butthurt about something. Can't automatically assume anything when there's no way of actually knowing what the reason is behind any given kick after you get dumped back to your ship.
I block anyone that kicks me for no reason tbh
Sty getting kicked?! Blasphemy
Friends get discon, random fills spot. We kick and invite friend back.. yeah shit happens but assuming you get kicken because low level... just host your own game

Maybe If host kicks a player that spot can not be replaced by another.
I just started this game and it blows. How can I even get up a level and practice if I am kicked!
I've been kicked more by pre 20s than any other group, lvl50 here
Crap thing is im level 25 not op but have enough to help i go out and respond to SOS, and over 75% of them kick on sight like my divers.
How about they can’t kick you once you join the planet but on the destroyer you can kick them
It's simple once you get kicked out of a game being in-game an actual lobby.
