Love this video ❤️ I live in the Midwest U.S, in a very Irish area and I know of more female Cori’s than male Cori’s. They’re name is spelled with the “ I” ending as well.

So I'm writing a book that takes place on an Irish island and I'm still undecided on some of the character's names. Does anyone know if Seamair (clover) is commonly used as a name? And if so, what gender it's usually used for? An answer on how to pronounce it would also help, as I've heard a couple of variations and aren't sure which is the right one. Thanks in advance
You can make a google search with "common names in..." and trust me, it's really helpfull. There are some sites with that info too, but I don't remember right now. Meaning names or name dictionary, something like that.
@@lupfarkas3811 thank you!
I'm Irish and I've never heard that used as a name. The nearest to it would be Seamus, which is the Irish version of James.
@@H20. ah ok. I was just curious since the English version is used as a name over here. Thanks for the reply!
It simply amazes me how your language works! I mean, how on Earth Eithne can become Enya?! But it's beautiful. Realta --what a cute word!
My brother's name is Corey. I have a book of name meanings and "Corey" means ravine dweller.

Hello from Canada!!
I was born in Cappoquin, Waterford.
My Mum was English and that's why she named me Beverly. My dad was Irish and he always spelt my name as Bebhearli, not Beverly. Are there any other versions of this name? I know it's originally an English name, but I'm just curious! 💗🌷🌷
I love this kind of videos. As a German, giving the most of these names here would sound very alien. (Aidan you may run across here an there) and of course the Irish spelling to pronouciation connection is completely different to German or English. But man, are those names beautiful!
It's so beautiful
💕💕
What’s the pronunciation of the signs over the letters which I hear you say (‘)? Foda or voda ??!
Fada
Thanks a lot Rixen 🌹
Thank you I'm looking for two names as I'm adopting two great Dane pups

If you think about it, names are feelings too 🪢
Is Aidan a gender neutral name now, or still Aideen and Aidan?
Irish Gaelic are great names.

You mean the origins of Gráinne are a little… grainy? 😂😂😂
