This is a great video! I’ll have to try the circular sander. I made the mistake (due to impatience) and used a belt sander. It was a disaster to a family heirloom table.🤦🏻♀️ One product I did use on our dining table finish was Miniwax Hellsman Urethane for front doors. It is super super durable! It’s lasted me over 15 years of family dinners and get togethers and still going strong.
Do you have any tutorials on stripping dining room chairs with a lot of curves, grooves, and spindles?
What does the table look like now? I’m curious how the satin finish looks. Also, what do you recommend for daily cleaning and maintenance moving forward?
Hi Maria, I'll have some pictures uploaded to our website soon so you can see some before and afters!👍... As for daily cleaning and maintenance, I recommend just plain water and a micro fiber rag. Never use harsh chemicals or furniture cleaners ie Pledge...Now, if you need a good cleaning, you can use a mild soap like Method and some water to wipe down and clean the table top. Make sure to dry the top off as well, no "air-drying" here😁. Finally, once a year, I like to apply some furniture paste wax to the table top. This helps keep the wood protected and from drying out. Thanks for the comments, and thank you for watching 😊
You started sanding with 120 grit paper here, did you then progress on to, like 150, and on up from there? Could you add some of that detail here? Thanks!
you didn't show the final product!
Paul, Where can I buy a 3x4 or 4x5 electric ray sander? I can't afford the high end ones, but I have seen you use an electric ray prep sander. Where, where, where can I buy one? No one is answering me and since you responded to me before, my bet and hope is that you will answer me. Thank you. Paula I.
Hi Paula, I'm sorry, but I'm not familiar with that style sander... I did a quick google search and found that they range in the $400 to $600 range. It looks like a specialty tool you'd have to order online directly from the manufacturer. What type of projects do you work on? Maybe I can find an alternative for you. Thanks for the comment, keep me posted 😊
You should not start and stop like you did.
Thank you for the feedback
