- The BOTE Rackham Aero is an amazing choice for a fishing ready SUP. But is inflatable the way to go?
This board is 12' 4" long and boasts a huge 38" width for incredible stability. It's chambered for peace of mind in case you were to get shot at and weighs 45 pounds. Also, it has squared off rails that make this big wide board even more stable. This board may be the most customizable board out there as well. Starting at the back, it has reinforced mounting points for a power pole micro. Forward of that, it has a bungee for quick access items like a pfd as well as tackle rack receivers. Moving forward more, you'll find the center grab handle for carrying as well as more rack receivers. Finally , at the front, you'll find another bungee tie down area and a paddle sheath for quick use when you hook that big snook.
The inflatable boards are easier to transport and store. If you have a small car, live in an apartment, or just want to save a few bucks, an inflatable SUP may be the way to go.

Hi! Is the bag and pump for the SUP able to be stowed on the nose of the board? Does the bag roll up at all, or is it too rigid?
Hey Dan! Unfortunately, the bag is a little to big and bulky to fit under the bungee up there. However, the bag does roll up pretty well for storage.
Once I get my RACKHAM inflated, I put my extra gear in it and use longer bungy cords to secure it to the front of the board. It’s a great bag. This way I have everything with me on my trips. When I get to my destination, I have it all right there!!!
Is it too wide that you couldn’t tuck up under arm and carry to water? I’m not worried so much about the weight as I am just pure size of it. I’m a 5’11 male so arms are relatively long
Hey Miller, it’s pretty easy to move around given the size! It has a handle right in the center of the board to make things simple!
It is easy to carry. They also sell shoulder straps you clip on the d-rings. Throw those over your head, across your shoulder, grab the hand strap and you’re off to your spot!!!
