True.... I'm glad someone has written on this. In Pakistan's Punjab and other states too, very little work has been done on infrastructure development after the British regime ended. So they can't imagine much ahead than British. I've seen many videos of Pak side, even the railways' infrastructure is still British time, i.e., the manual signals, guard cabins, small platforms, old waiting rooms, etc. I even saw years of 1936, 1939, 1942 embossed on many of guards cabins... I don't understand why .... may be because these were public utility properties. Sad.

A Pakistani translating an Indian language for Karthikeyan. That's the beauty of my India. We repect our differences and this is what we mean when we say India has Unity in Diversity. I think Karthik has to be given more camera time and see his reactions 😂. He is just like my Tamil friends who get confused when we North Indians do stupid things and we have to explain everything to them afterwards. Also Villages of Punjab are mesmerizing. And so amazing to see a young sarpanch leading his village. I love my India so much. Never a dull they, never a day without learning something new about India. Allow me to rephrase your question and ALSO answer it.
It wasn't " we" who got separated, it was YOU who separated.
As for why? Short answer, a handful of Muslim elite, the zamindars & jaghirdars wanted to grab the land and wealth of the Hindu and Sikh minority in Punjab/ sindh and Bengal. They got what they wanted, the bengalis of East Bengal got disgusted with the loot and separated and they are doing rather well now. But those looters are still looting you.

What difference a bit of love can bring... What an incredible series it has been and I can only imagine the experiences Abrar had in this journey across India... I am sure it will be in his memories for a long time...
It takes a certain amount of courage to come to India from across the border which was evident in the initial episode where Abrar said he wants to have a positive experience and would be careful about the drone footage and how he urged his audience to keep the politics aside... Little did he knew the positive influence his videos will have on people from both sides of the border... You have done a truly remarkable job.

Punjab, Haryana, West UP have villages that are very rich. Here people earn more than cities. That is why you can see they all wear nice clothes, have big beautiful houses and clean roads. Unlike in other states, where farmers are starving and poor, where farmers try to sell their land, Punjabi, Haryanvi and West UP villagers have their own land which is family owned.

Most people from villages are abroad so the houses are big and new here . Same is on the other side. Punjabi Sikhs are very , very hospitable like the Pakistani Punjabis . Food , culture , dresses are so similar . It was so nice when you told that old lady ' mata ji ' , mother of your host in the village. Very open and joyful people .
