Let me know in the comments if their is something I can improve on? Or what you future video you would like to see?
Hi Brandon, I really enjoy watching your videos :D I am from Hong Kong and I will study civil drafting at TAFE Brisbane in July this year . Could you please share more about the job websites you used to find job opportunities and provide some guidance on how to prepare a portfolio? Thank you !
@@RingoShiu-cv1xr Thanks for the feedback. In regards to where to apply, I recommend checking out Linkedin, Seek, Indeed and directly on engineering companies website for job opportunities. In regards to a job portfolio, I didn't have one and in future roles I didnt really have to showcase anything (Interviews were more personality based but was asked about how I would setup drawings or automate tasks. Definately learn more about AutoCAD? Or microstation? To be able to use the basics. A good bonus to mention in drafting interviews for entry level is "Keen to learn to automate work through Autocad scripting and lisping".
It's a very informative video. I watched it well. As you advised last time, I'm going to study the Diploma of Civil construction Design on the tafe . Thank you very much.
@@Dsndi8274 Glad you found it helpful. I would recommend you to see if you can find an apprenticeship or cadet role first though.
Great video! Interesting job!
Glad you enjoyed it!
To tell you, you are not just a bit part of this, outside the world you are a bbbiiiggg part, thank you for sharing
Wow, thank you so much!
Good Job👍
Thanks
I am also a student of DCCD. Love this video. Gave me tips on how to start as an entry level drafter. Thanks
Thanks for watching. Glad you found them useful.
Hello thanks for the vid, Ive already applied for civil engineering diploma course and ill be doing full time study, my main concern is probably just finding a company to work for or to apprentice under half way into my course because I did hear that companies come by at the Tafe to get some apprentice drafters and I think I can turn my full time study to part time. Did you just go on Indeed and hand in a resume to every available company?
Yeah pretty much. But I would also recommend Linkedin these days as well. Also potentially finding recruiters in this industry to find the Apprenticeship role.
@@BrandonSayasane alright thank you so much :)
I wanna do my two month internship in australia.
Thanks for watching and goodluck!
Which college in Sydney can you recommend me to pursue an advanced diploma in civil construction design
Thanks for watching. I studied at Sydney Ultimo TAFE and I think its the most recognised institute for that course in the industry (At least in Sydney)
Which TAFE did you study at
I studied at Tafe Ultimo Sydney NSW Australia between 2017 to 2019
@@BrandonSayasane I'm planning to apply for that course next year
@BrandonSayasane you did it at building W at Level 3
Brandon are you monetised? Some video ads popped up as I was watching (thought you had to have more subscribers and more total watch hours). you should activate a AU$1.49 a month paid utube membership and load-up 7 to 8 unique emojis (your car, your face, your car, other things shown in your vlogs) so people can use them in the comments section. having a utube JOIN button really helps to build a community (its can be activated in 'Studio')
Hi I am currently not monetised, as I do not meet the TH-cam requirements in the partnership program (I think for the community membership your talking about requires 500 subscribers and 3000 watch hours). I am fairly new to TH-cam so still learning everything. But will look onto your suggestions once I get monetised.
