    The MBC is a route made up of cycleway sections, many interlinking roads, esplanades, streets, and footpaths. This circles around the entire south eastern coastline of Moreton Bay and I have tracked it to be a total of 210kms in distance according to my route.
    I rode this from start to finish over 4 days and I have divided it up into 5 stages as follows:
    Stage 1: Point Talbupin, Redland Bay to Cleveland Lighthouse (37kms)
    Stage 2: Cleveland CBD to Queensport Rocks, Gateway Bridges (44kms)
    Stage 3: Gateway Bridges to Hornibrook Bridge, Brighton (44kms)
    Stage 4: Hornibrook Bridge, Brighton to Bruce Highway, Burpengary East via Redcliffe Peninsula (41kms)
    Stage 5: Bruce Highway, Burpengary East to Bribie Island (44kms)

    Scarborough boat harbour to nudge Beach is also a great ride.

    Yeah, my side of town 😀 Mountains to Mangroves is from Camp Mnt, Samford CP, Bunyaville, Raven st/Milne Hill and Chermside Hills Reserves to Boondall Wetlands. I've run plenty of times along the JSB. Usually get a hideous headwind. Baxter's fish & chips are pretty good. Where the hidden beach is at Shorncliffe, at the cliffs there we used to collect fossils as kids. Played many a cricket match at Curlew Park, which is on the old Sandgate Tip. I've sailed small boats as a school sport at Shorncliffe. Surprised I didn't end up at Moreton Island! The Brisbane to Gladstone yacht race at Easter starts from the Shorncliffe Pier. Well worth going to. The white bike along Nudgee Rd near the tip, I think was a hit and run. Unsolved? Look forward to the Redcliffe journey.

      That is your side of town.... you definitely know those places by the sound of things! The next Redcliffe stretch by far was my favourite - can't wait to get that finished.

    Another nice ride. The JSB and Shorncliffe-Sandgate- Brighton are probably the best bikeways in Brisbane.

    when you cross the gateway bridge turn right up to the roundabout then turn left too kingsford smith drive, turn right the in about 100 m turn left over the train line.
    Follow that to the next roundabout turn left and just up the road abit you will see a bike track on your left an that will take you all the way too sandgate

    All around there is where I cycle, sorry to have to correct you on the bridge name, the bridge you were resting under is the Ted Smout bridge and the one to the left of it is the Houghton Highway, the Hornibrook Highway was the original rough and bouncy Hornibrook which at one stage was even a toll bridge, it now only remains with short sections at either end in memory of the original bridge and for the fishermen. Yes I know it is hard to let go of the old Hornibrook terminology

      @jelbuilderfilms  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, you're 100% correct, I guess I'm just used to calling it the Hornibrook or simply the Redcliffe Bridge, lol. Thanks for pointing this out, I do appreciate it. 👍🏻👍🏻

    Nice work Jel. Loved this series. Dare I ask, what's happened to the e bike? Or you want a decent work out with the normal bike?

    • @jelbuilderfilms
      @jelbuilderfilms  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Haha... I've still got the eeeb! However on these particular rides I'm doing usually 70-90kms, and the e-bike really is only good for around 60kms. Anything beyond then I'm running on a hope and a prayer, lol. Plus, I've really been enjoying the workout on the analogue bike, and ultimately, I never have "low battery" anxiety if I want to explore more.
