  • Perhaps the greatest, purest passer in NFL history. Marino had the arm strength, accruacy, and the quick release needed to make any and all passes on the football field. He got drafted late in the first round by the Miami Dolphins and the pick paid off as he was the NFL MVP in 1984, setting records with 5,084 yards and 48 touchdown passes. Unfortunately, he did not win a Super Bowl, but he was 3x First Team All Pro, 9x Pro Bowler, and set all the passing records (which would later be broken by Brett Favre and others). He threw for over 61,000 yards and 420 touchdown passes in a brilliant, Hall of Fame career.

He would be unstoppable in today’s game you cannot touch. The quarterback, cannot touch the receivers. He would be unstoppable.

Dan Marino was one of the best gifted and most talented elite gunslinger passers in the NFL during his era. Before there was Peyton Manning and Tom Brady, there was him who had that rocket arm and still could throw the ball so high in the air. If he would play in the NFL today, he will be unstoppable.

Every great QB had a great O-line and at least one great receiver. Great highlight reel but some of those throws were made by the receiver making a great catch.

I grew up in the 70's and 80's. Fran Tarkenton was my first favorite QB. One of the 12 greatest QBs of all time, to this day. Then came Dan Marino. I watched him at Pitt and couldn't wait to see in the NFL. He became my next fave QB. Awesome! One of the top 8 ever. By anyone's ranking.

I think if you're only going off of arm talent and accuracy, then Marino and Rodgers are neck and neck for the title of greatest ever. I have Marino at 9 on my all time QBs list and could be even be a bit higher on that list depending on how I'm feeling that day.

I'll be rooting for Miami Dolphins.

This guy is missing a lot of respect similar to Larry Bird for me. Didn't really get to watch him play but these highlights are unbelievable. I've never seen any pocket passer with his combination of touch accuracy and arm strength
You can tell he's making these unreal throws on sheer instinct he's definitely the best pure passer we've ever seen
And that's coming from a die hard Peyton Manning fan
