Average view duration is 2:38, but the heavy/solo portion of the demo track doesn't start until 2:43 which means you're missing the best part. I think I need to shorten the clean sections of my tracks going forward for viewer retention. This now concludes my TED talk. :)
Love my PRS, I've got the SE Custom 24-08 in Eriza Verde. The shop I bought it from did a PLEK setup and changed the strings to 10-46 for no extra charge, so difficult to comment on PRS factory setup, but it did have a flaw in the clear finish on the lower horn. The shop took it back and fixed as best they could. Pickups are great and pretty versatile, the extra 2 options on the 24-08 are nice. Agree re the trem arm, it's like it needs to go through puberty. Awesome demo once again and love the colour as I think it looks like the ocean (shallow water with sandy bottom). Think I've watched enough of your videos to hit the subscribe 🤘🤘
lol the trem arm needs to “ go through puberty”! Welcome to the club my guy! Thanks for the kind words and I’m glad you love your PRS! That 08 version looks slick too.
I've had PRS' for about 10 years and these new SE's that have come out the past few years have been killing it. Real nice chords on the demo track too. Kind of a nostalgic Rotting Pinata era Sponge vibe to me.
The only “negatives” in my opinion are the rather thick neck profile and the pickups seem to lack in tone. These are of course both just personal opinions. If I were to keep this guitar I would put in different pickups.
@@brandonteixeira7886 Thats just something I wrote for this guitar demo. Doesn't have a name, but if I ever actually finish and mix/master some songs for streaming, I'll have to. lol
The cheap nut is actually a big deal, since the nut has an incredible impact on tuning stability, that is actually not acceptable and you will have to replace a plastic nut. I think the vendors do this on purpose to push some people to a higher price tier. Putting a plastic nut on ANY guitar makes absolutely no sense. Also a 6 point trem isn't going to give you stability either, so I expect that guitar to be out of tune a lot, which is a no-go for a 1000 dollar guitar. Your review is also inaccurate, the pickups with the "S" are not the core models pickups, they are the downstripped "SE" version of them. That does make a big difference too.
@CDgrorg I completely agree with you about the use of plastic nuts, but for the more initiated, having a $15-20 nut replaced on a more budget friendly guitar far outweighs paying much more for a higher model that comes with a tusq, bone, brass (better quality) nut. I’ve done this myself a few times. I similarly agree that a 6 point trem adds to the tuning issues. I prefer ht or at least a smoother 2 point like a gotoh 510 bridge. As for the pickups, they are the “S” version which are supposed to be extremely similar (probably identical in all likelihood) to the core versions.
@@digital360 Yes.Well I heard the "S" pickups vs the original 85/15s and unfortunately you dont need to be picky to make out the difference. If you factor this together: Replace pickups (assuming 200 dollars for the original ones and 50 dollars for installation of your friendly tech, adding about 50 dollar for the nut including the installation, adding 70 dollars for a setup and there I havent even touched the trem, I would come up with 370 dollars on top. In short I think guitars at the 600 dollar price range are worthwhile if you mainly wanna save money, otherwise the first serious guitars are available at 1500+ dollars (e.g. Fender american professional strats or Ibanez premiums or similar from other manufacturers). They wont have any of the obvious issues then and come setup nicely as well, which would be a problem if youre an inexperienced tech otherwise.

Just got a black-gold one. Stunning. The ebony fretboard and binding all around really make it look a step up from the regular custom 24's. Love it
That color scheme is the best option imo. I like it a lot more than this finish honestly.
came for the guitar, stayed for the playing

I bought one last year. A quick fix of the action and it is GREAT
I haven’t heard a solo this good in ages!
Thanks! I haven't written a good one since. lol
I love the color!
You should, you picked it out! 😉

Awesome track, awesome playing man....
an incredible guitar and awesome demo btw
Thank you for the compliment! Yes this guitar is very nice indeed!
Killer track! I love that green. I do wish they did more roasted maple necks.
Thanks bro! Yeah, I would agree, roasted is the way to go for a rock solid neck.
I bought the same guitar last month, luuuuvverly....... 🥰🥰
Tem algum ponto negativo dessa guitarra que vc notou? Faria alguma modificação nela?

@@digital360 it is a very "draggy" neck?
@@striv5910 if you mean sticky, then no, I didn’t experience any of that. I do prefer a satin or unfinished neck generally though.
Which AMP you’re using?
Neural DSP Soldano for the rhythm and clean tones, and Archetype Rabea for the lead.
Thanks so much
Also what’s the song name at 1:51

@@digital360 cool cool
I’m actually going to get this guitar soon
Hope it’s worth it…
@@digital360 hey man I kinda don’t know what to choose I’m stuck between the PRS custom 24 quilt top and the PRS SE CE 24
Can you recommend one?
How much weight pls ?
This one has a new home, but I believe it was about 7.75 lbs
I read that it's 8lbs I can't hold heavy weight guitars
8lbs is nothing
@@Aycejay yes it is.
