I have never heard anyone that could hold a candle to Jackie
I managed to attend 13 of Jackie's concerts. Six were in rows 1 or 2. I sat with people who had attended over 80 of her concerts. Now that's a bunch of loyal fans

No, that was AGT. DF joined the magic a few months later and put together her first DVD, "Dream with Me".

I used to take Jackie's DVD's to nursing homes. An activities director came up to me after a show and said "There are people here who haven't responded to a single thing all day and now they're applauding!!!!!"

I was in the nose bleed section, so could watch the whole crowd. Concert ended precisely at 9:30 because of her young age....
However, after a 3 minute standing ovation and not a soul leaving, Jackie returned with an encore.
Then a second standing "O"...still no one left.
She returned with a second encore.
A final standing ovation, lasted at least 2 minutes...and finally people began drifting out.
A mesmerizing performance by an angelic singer.

I was at 13 of Jackie's concerts. Half of them in 1st or 2nd row. I experienced parts of the audience being left literally speechless by the end of the show.
Jackie Evancho is a 23-year old American classical crossover singer. In 2010, as a 10-year old, Jackie came to fame when she came in second on America's Got Talent. At 11-years old, she was the youngest solo singer to ever have a concert at Lincoln Center (held at the Avery Fisher Hall). She is the youngest solo artist to ever go Platinum on an album in the US at 10-years old and the youngest to ever debut in the top 10 in the Billboard 200 (twice Jackie was #2 with the artist who just beat her the second time being Eminem). At 9-years old Jackie self-released the album Prelude To A Dream that peaked at #2 on the Billboard Classical Charts. The next 8 studio albums all peaked at #1 on the Billboard Classical Charts meaning that only Jay-Z, Eminem, Kanye West, Taylor Swift and The Beatles have had more consecutive Billboard #1 albums in a row. In 2011, when Jackie was 11-years old, Billboard ranked her as the #1 Classical Albums Artist of the year. In addition to the 9 studio albums, Jackie has 3 live albums, 13 music videos, and 35 singles. She has had 3 solo PBS concert specials (her first in 2011, Dream With Me In Concert, was the most broadcast program of the year for PBS and raised record amounts of money for PBS stations). Jackie was loads of fun as Kitty on the Mased Singer Season 3. Completely fooled the judges singing in a pop voice.
This was age 10 1/3 on AGT. By age 10 1/2 she was working with David Foster so by age 11 + 3 days, she recorded her "Dream With Me In Concert" which was a PBS "Great Performances" program, and used extensively that year for the PBS subscription drives. So, as good as this performance was, by the time "Dream With Me" dropped, she was so much better she was unbelievably good. And still is.
She does a magnificent job with the Lord's Prayer and also How Great Thou Art.
Imagine the host of heaven singing in unison with the elect. Cant wait

Jackie still has a great voice to this day, try some of her recent stuff for comparison. Lots of people don't like her for non-musical reasons but a beautiful voice will always defend itself.
Why would anybody not like her? Is it because she had the gall to perform the National Anthem at Trump's inauguration? I've always thought that that is the reason more reactors don't do her videos, above and beyond the copyrite restrictions. What other reason could there be and those people don't deserve mention. She does more behind the scenes than most people do who crave the spotlight. She should be praised for overcoming what she has been through physically and emotionally for almost a third of her life.

She is naturally gifted. You can train someone to be bettee, but her age says she was born with that angelic voice. Have you reacted to any One Voice Children's Choir? It is an ever changing kids choir that covers all types of music.

At 1:40" you got THE SAME REACTION as I got when I first heard Jackie, except that when Jackie sang THAT SONG, it was LIVE for me on August 15, 2010. Jackie was freshly 10 when she sang this. I could NOT believe the VOICE that SHE IS SINGING. Not too long after this, but before the end of 2010, I personally discovered, "JACKIE DOESN'T sing songs, she BECOMES THE SONG." And that dress she wore was angelic, Jackie was truly OTHERWORLDLY! You need to get to check her flow. Her evolution is dynamic. She came back to AGT, was Kitty on Masked Singer (should have won all 3 competitions) and is unquestionably one of the top 3 crossover singers of all time.

At age 10 with her album, "Oh Holy Night", Jackie became the youngest Platinum solo artist in US history, the distinction previously held by Michael Jackson......How extraordinary is that for a young classical crossover artist. She has not been surpassed.

Lara Fabian thought so highly of Jackie's voice that she wrote the French lyrics for Jackie to sing Broken Vow. It's called Imaginer in French - different lyrics appropriate for a child, but the exact melody.

Also search youtube : Jackie's earliest video on youtube is from the 'Kean Idol' competition at 7 years old singing 'Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again' from the Broadway play 'Phantom of the Opera' all the videos of it are poor quality (144p) but 'visualbully' has the best video of it).
Jackie doesn't practice much - she just sings this way. After working with a vocal coach on AGT and her first concert tour (Dream With Me), her parents pulled back on training because they thought she was starting to sound too much like a "typical opera singer," and they believed her unique "Jackie sound" is what makes her special. I think they're right.
PERFECT. Now you know the difference between a voice and a world class voice that commands an astounding feel of pitch and tone that other singers merely stab at. I'm so glad I got to be in her life.

I've have followed Jackie since 2010 till now. I still watch and/or listen to all her stuff frequently. When she was 10 - 16 she was unbeatable. For me personally, she is better than Angelina Jordan by far.

She is world famous and has sold multiple gold and platinum albums. She is far better than Angelina. Sorry but Angelina cannot sing on pitch. Jackie can. Look forward to seeing you so more of hers. Quit comparing them - they sing differently. They are both incredibly talented and deserve to be respected, not compared. It is utterly ridiculous to compare them - their styles are different, and their genres are different. Quit being negative - they both deserve so much better.

Yes, Jackie Evancho was amazing for her age at that time, but she is really not that special of a singer for her age now.
She has really not developed as much as you would think during those years and she is at about the same level now as she was then.
At 23 she is at about the same level as so many woman at her age is.
She is just a good singer that looks good and is pleasant to listen to, but nothing that stands out at all.
I doubt she would get very much attention if it was not for the fact that she is American and what she did at a young age.

If she was a 23 year young woman from England, France, Germany, Norway; Sweden or any other country than USA and singing as she is now, no one in USA would think she was anything special.

She can sing even better than she did at 10 or 11 - she is choosing to sing less difficult music - less classical, more contemporary. Her voice is just as beautiful. She sings a combination of O Mio Babbino Caro and Nessum Dorma in her concerts that is breathtaking. She can still hit all the high notes, and she still has perfect pitch. Do you know she's struggling with anorexia because of the criticism she gets because she's not 10 anymore? Why would you want to say anything unkind when you could be silent?

If you think that us unkind, then you clearly are a snowflake and you think she is a snowflake as well, thinking she would get hurt by that.
depends on what she is singing. When she sings Pop, some of what you say it true, she gives up a lot of her advantage. She seems to sing to the back of the room, not relying on the sound system to get her voice out there. This creates more overtones. But when she is singing into her mike as if she was alone in the room, she is STILL absolutely stupendous because she is singing in a 'storytelling' voice with a pure set of overtones.

I understand your reaction to Jackie, because I felt just as you did hearing Jackie for the first time. In fact I love listening to beautiful voices so much that when I find one as remarkable as Jackie's I do all I can to hear more. Like many, I first saw her on AGT, and I was hooked. I searched the internet to see what else there was out there about her to be found. That was 13 years ago, and I'm still searching, and still amazed by her. Jackie's concerts are more amazing than anything on youtube. That said I still hope to see more reactions to Jackie from you. There are a lot of videos on youtube of Jackie singing, and I am sure you would be impressed by her performance no matter which you see. But I would most like to see your reaction to Jackie singing "Danny Boy", there is no video of her performing it, in fact she has only sang it ONE TIME, because David Forster asked her to record it for an album he was producing for her, called "Dream With Me". I love "Danny Boy" and I believe I have searched out EVERY performance of it available on youtube, male and female, and for my money Jackie's rendition is the BEST. I would really like to hear your opinion of her interpretation.
