Now I want to try String Railway with a house rule to speed it up: everyone starts play with one card already drawn, and then draws the new one at the end of their turn. So they get to spend the time between turns planning - and agonizing when the player right in front of them destroys their plan at the last moment.
Two words: Paperclip. Railways. Similar basic idea, but you make your track out of linked paperclips. Oh, and stations aren't just stations - they're currency - what you pay to buy track. And rather than having no chance to plan, on your turn you either draw more stations or play new track, so you always have other people's turns to plan, knowing what stations you have to choose from. And you make track by linking chains of coloured paperclips. Paperclip chains!
Brendan deserves a medal for working harder then anyone has before to get a Puzzle Strike chip. Especially since the object of the game is to get rid of them.
Something about the humor these guys do sneaks up on me. I won't laugh for a bit and then one of their really odd jokes/sketches will get me right on and I'll just lose it.
TAKE ALL OF MY MONEY! Also should do a video review of netrunner. I want to share with my friends but they are Americans like me and therefor refuse to use their ability to read :< Also buying Arabian nights specifically because of your review :D Also...! Sorry for so many also's D: ....babies
when you said the trains go to war like the ents in lord of the rings I had an image of a army of Tomas the train characters matching against the forces of isenguard.
You know that was a trick right? There's no way Brendan could keep up with that poker chip. They probably used multiple Brendan stuntmen that would leap out at specific intervals in the path of the poker chip. That's showbizz I guess, sorry to ruin it for you.
But I rewind the tape when I woke up and saw the asking for $100/ a year thing. This show is part of 'pennyarcadetv', don't they give you any coin? Or at least hook you free boardgames?? Looks like their office is drowning in boardgames, but maybe that's an 'expense' they have, and not free stuff.
Oh god he's so painfully unfunny I can't make it through the video even though I want to know more about the game. Mimicking people who are funny is not, in itself, funny.

The coin roll was very well done. Nice skill with that. Also, string.

how am i supposed to continue dominating games at my local card-gaming shoppe without Quinns' Netrunner Tips!?
They put those up at parks where creepers hang out and rub one out while watching the children play.
You had facebook open mate.
Aw, good ol' Quintin frippery! Never gets old.
The Mulholland Drive reference was brilliant!!
Nice he was reading a book in the Well World series, those are awesome.
love the Mulholland Dr parody
I was thinking the same thing, Subbable could be a really good thing for them to use.
I've never seen an 'Adults Must Be Accompanied by Children' sign before
NOW we're playing String Railway
I feel betrayed. It's like when your parents say you're going out for ice cream and instead they take you to your brother's funeral.
the cost of housing and feeding brendens is really getting ludicrous these days
This video... I don't even....

that goodie bag cracked me up so hard
Yakety Sax just isn't the same without Benny Hill on the screen chasing (or being chased by) attractive women.
Hang in there Brendan!

I am willing to pay for more Brendan looking despondent.
Have you guys ever thought about using Subbable?
i think they can't because they work though pennyarcade, and it would be a lot more hassle since hank does all of that.
when you said the trains go to war like the ents in lord of the rings I had an image of a army of Tomas the train characters matching against the forces of isenguard.
13:20 You're going to ship an Ice Cream bar in an envelope to the States from England??
String railway looks like it would be fun to play via email, perhaps even on mobiles...
The donate button on the website is broken :(
