I got the 391 a couple of months ago and i love it. The only thing i hate is im cutting pines this time and it makes my saw a mess with all that red sticky juices. But oh well, i clean it after every use and make it look as new again. The only pain is the chain, i clean it one by one link so i dont let any sap and that takes me hours but i enjoy it at the end watching my chain look as new as well. Leaving sap on the chain messes up the file too when filling the chain and that is not good. I also have a small McCulloch CS 340 for smaller cuts for pine or hardwood. Its a small beast. Im very happy with both of them.
You are taking great care of your saw and it will last a long time. The MS-171 has been great for limbing and light work but the power of the MS-391 makes firewood easy and fun {Oh Yeah} 😁Enjoy your time outdoors and Thanks for Watching
A tool you might want to consider Joe is a Loggers Tape, will save you some walking time when your regular one falls off. I'm going out tomorrow to get some fur for myself.
Hi Karl, this saw is about the same as yours but if I start it with the saw on its side it seems to fire right up, and I let it runs a few seconds before hitting the throttle. The saw is starting better as it breaks in and after it warms up does a good job. Thanks for Watching
i have an ms 171 my very first chainsaw and I love it I dont use it often but when I do she is a little beast

Yes, a good tape would help and a few other hand tools I have my eye on as well. Have a great day in the woods and Thanks for Watching

Thank you this is a nice saw.

How easily does your 171 cold start? Mine has been a pain to cold start (as well as when the saw is warm but ran out of fuel) since day one.

If it's hard to start, sometimes maybe get some staring fluid a little tip
@@KevinTheLawnGuy It has improved. The issue was that I wasn't getting the choke lever into the full choke position.
👍👍👍👍
