I actually prefer Wallace as a Champion over Steven. Steven shines much better as a post-game super boss.
Dang strait! Wallace takes his Champion title very seriously and his team is very good against Steven. And also, many people underestimate the awesomeness of Wallace. As a Christian myself, people need to respect feminine men.

@@GardevoirBoy Also, he doesn't relies on brute force like Steven, but in weakening the rival before attacking. To not mention he's a Sootopolitan, so Wallace has better knowledge about the world than Steven, that's why the latter admits the former is better suited to be the Champion than him.

None of the other moves Mixeli was running on it were physical anyway. Except Gullotine, which is a already an OHKO move.

Wallace is one of the best Pokemon champions in Pokemon history. He fights like a champion and takes his title very seriously. Being a difficult champion for a Pokemon game, Wallace gave me a challenge.
My Gardevoir with 3 Calm Mind and Thunderbolt sweeps through Wallace like dust.

Shockwave,thunder and thunderbolt with my pikachu with its light bulb item to amplify the hell out of all of them got me through this in my opinion one of the toughest champions of elite 4 ever....this is epic stuff ❤

Wow. If Milotic had survived that last Leaf Blade, the battle would’ve been over. Milotic would’ve taken down Sceptile with Ice Beam, but even if Milotic used Recover instead, Sceptile would’ve gone down from Toxic damage.
Sceptile was faster than milotic. Also, judging from the damage the first leaf blade did, the second one always killed because sceptile was in overgrow.
He could've just used Leaf Blade on Whiscash for 4x damage but nope, let's make this battle dramatic.

I think Wallace is really cool! I haven't actually battled him in Emerald yet (I'm still playing through the game), but I still like his character and team. :) Water types are the best! ^^

I grew up collecting water types, I was only 10 I’m 26 now and I still collect water Pokémon. When Milotic first came I fell in love.

Za Dusto Wouldn't it be "Pokemon Nu Emerald" if it's being named using the Greek alphabet? Alpha and omega are the first and last Greek letters, respectively, so logically the median Greek letter Nu (ν) should be used. Not that it actually sounds good lmao

Edit: It struggled to death because my Ninjask was up six Double Teams.

Yes. Make no mistake, Wallace is not a bad Hoenn Champion. If there's anyone to blame for Steven keeping his Hoenn Champion status, it's Juan.

Steven como campeón era más fácil, pero Wallace en GBA fue un reto algo fuerte en mis 14 años porque sí tenía a swampert como starter o Blaziken ibas a batallar.
I can't believe we were stuck with Steven Stone in the remakes, we should have gotten this guy! And also, Mega-Gyarados on Wallace would be fitting for Wallace as a true Hoenn champion. Even though Mega-Evolution may be extinct, Wallace is no joke.

Try being a rock and ground type trainer like me and then facing him with Gravellor, dugtrio,my swampert was my only wild card here and then you have my poor alakazam who died in the first match and I tried thunderbolt hell recovered then blasted me away...took me time to beat this guy he is tough

Both Steven and Wallace represents land and sea respectively. They also shares a lot with Team Magma and Aqua: Steven is the heir of a company dedicated to science and Wallace is a nature lover. However, unlike them, they are very close.
My last team was:
48 Hariyama (belly drum + brick break, swept first elite 4)
53 Linoone (belly drum + Shadowball/Slash swept the other 3 elites)
48 Gardevoir (Swept Wallace. 3 calm minds + thunderbolt/psychic ezpz)
I gave them the shell bell to hold

i underestimated him alot. my team existed out of a singular azumarill because i was beating the game using only that (and a single marill for 7th gym that i wouldnt really use in battle). almost died few times but i stocked up on heal items so i was fine for the most part

I basically beat him with the “lance’s way”, I taught hyperbeam to rayquaza and whenever it (before) needs to recharge I switch

Man I remember beating Wallace for the first time with only Pokémon in the mid 40s to 51. It was definitely hard but with some strategizing and some healing I won even though my Sceptile and Salamance did most of the heavy lifting everyone had some role in the fight. Some definitely having minor roles
To be truthful Wallace is the hardest champion to me, not only is his Pokémon over leveled on average but he also has a bulky Molitic that has a sitrus berry and INFINITE full restores 🤦🏾♂️

First time, I used Mightyena, Swellow, Sableye, Breloom, Macargo, and Swampert. My Breloom did a good part of the battling but eventually an Ice move got him, and the fight was pretty hard after that >.<
(I still won, though)

How did you catch a level 70 Rayquaza with a pokeball?
i remember trying to run through the whole E4 with just my rayquaza but against him i missed 5 thunders and got stalled by his stupid ludicolo because i had nothing that was super effective on my rayquaza for him and he got 6 double teams off. the worst is that i had only missed one thunder in all of my game prior to his fight. But i will admit, he was a solid trainer

I never understood why they made this change in Emerald.
They probably made the change because they prob wanted more changes between the three games
I hate his milotic. It almost killed my rayquaza many times and poisons anything that i sent out to heal up rayquaza.

I remember you did a video a few years early where you battle champion Wallace in OR/AS to make me think you were playing Delta Emerald
I managed to defeat Wallace with this team:
- Zolt the Magneton Lv. 49
- Skyn the Rayquaza (Not part of main team) Lv. 72
- Majello the Swellow Lv. 46
- Macaroni the Machoke Lv. 47
- Marque the Azumarill Lv. 57
- HocusPocus the Kadabra Lv. 51
As you can see, most of my team was way underleved; my first attempt where i didn't use Rayquaza required me using save states to perform RNG "manipulation" (basically i would just reload save states over and over until i get a good outcome), and i still couldn't defeat Drake. I considered getting a Spheal and evolving it into a Walrein, but i just thinked it would have took too long so i just chose to use Rayquaza instead.
(Oh and BTW i catched Rayquaza by doing the same "RNG Manipulation" thing, but this time throwing Ultra Balls until Zolt fainted or i ran out of Ultra Balls)

I sweeped the Pokemon League with a Lv80 Rayquaza and some ethers. The Wallace fight is not easy but easier than the Steven fight in Ruby/Sapphire
To beat Wallace I had to caught rayquaza and then I lost anyway three times

In my randomizer, my pokemon were up to only level 52, and that was my STRONGEST POKEMON! The game only gave me weak pokemon, and for some reason, the important battles were as hell difficult! I hated that randomizer, and never playing them again...

Juan is a far more interesting and better designed gym leader and Steven is a far more interesting champion.

Clearly IGN made a mistake when they called out ORAS for having Too Much Water, This is the real culprit!
