So let me get this straight. You had to put up with:
- The luck of the draw of the Battle Factory
- The random paths of the Battle Pike
- The 2-Pokemon only Tournaments of the Battle Dome
- The referee rules of the Battle Arena
- The total randomness of the Battle Palace
- The constant monotony of the Battle Tower
- The infuriating progression of the Battle Pyramid (And Brandon having all three Legendary Birds)
And your reward... IS A *SINGLE BERRY?* THAT'S IT?! NOT A TROPHY, A CERTIFICATE, A POKEMON, NOTHING?! A BERRY?!

Matty Butler sharply raises a random stat. Pair it with a tanky recycler or on a modern game, with a harvest tank and it can be destructive
I think its way better in the anime. Ash defeated the Battle Frontier and they rewarded him a certificate.

Crawdaunt going for the Guillotine, defying the accuracy odds and the guaranteed loss if it missed, was really startling to me.
I don't think he could have won if he went for a move other than Guillotine. At least, in the Tucker battle

My guess he was trying to lower sp.def while doing chip damage which didn't really work out
@@error_404.69 based on his moveset choices, I doubt it. The moves he's chosen for his Pkmn don't make sense. A MixMence with Hyper Beam(???), Fly (???), Flamethrower, and Dragon Claw. I'll pass. I'm not entirely sure how he managed all gold symbols with the 'mon he used and the decisions he made in battle. He got lucky more than a few times

I love how some of the Frontier Brains get pissed when they lose. Like everybody else in the game that loses to you is happy about it for some reason, but the brains just go, "WTF??? Are you kidding me? How dare you beat me!!! Here's your symbol!"

and has the ability overgrow when a critical HP occur the maximum power it can get
The part where Sceptile hung on with 1 hp against Spencer's Suicune was so epic. Sceptile and Brandon's bond was strong enough to defeat such a powerful pokemon 😭. The fact that the pokemon choose their own moves makes it even more insane.
imagine all this on switch graphics! the mechanics the arena and the battle. i really wished that gamefreak didnt abandon the battle frontier idea. the most hellish yet satisfying thing back in gen 3
Agreed. I was so pissed when I found out it was replaced in ORAS. Still the biggest/hardest post game facility challenge to date in any Pokémon game. Glad I still have my old copy of emerald.
They cut it in ORAS only cuz “people can’t be bothered to devote the time of competitive training”
Well, we can be bothered. We definitely were NOT bothered when the battle frontier was actually around cuz competitive training was SO tedious. Now the process has become a lot easier. Ikr sometimes GF decides to come up with ideas which make VERY little sense

Gen 3 Battle Frontier is where Pokemon peaked. Everything afterward never came close. Platinum and Heartgold were fun though.

Batte Frontier, the only place where you can find Gyarados with a Fire Blast.
Greta’s Gengar almost had you on the ropes but fortunately she decided to go for focus punch 3 times with Breloom.

6:59 I guess Explosion was smart on Steelix’s part, that is an _explosively_ powerful move, and Steelix only had a few HP left anyways. Also, Steelix had just used Screech, so Salamence’s (or Drattak’s) Defense had harshly fallen.

Wow, I’m *impressed* that Swampert survived a 4-times-super-effective Leaf Blade. AND, also, to be more specific, Swampert didn’t even have as low as red health either!
When I first played Emerald back in 2005 I managed to get 5 of the 7 Symbols and I was more than happy with Silver I could never get the Symbols for the Battle Tower & Battle Pyramid which are the two hardest facilities to defeat.
15 years later in 2020 during the 1st UK Lockdown I decided to complete the Sinnoh/Johto Battle Frontier and after getting the Gold Prints I decided to get all 7 Gold Symbols on the Hoenn Battle Frontier the easiest facilities are the Battle Pike, Battle Palace, Battle Dome & Battle Factory when I finally defeated Pyramid King Brandon to get the Gold Symbol for the Battle Pyramid I cried because it meant so much it was the ultimate achievement for me in any game.
The Battle Tower & Battle Pyramid in the Hoenn Battle Frontier are the hardest and most brutal facilities to win such a nightmare.
The Battle Frontier in Sinnoh & Johto is really easy to conquer although the Battle Hall gives you a challenge I say its the hardest facility.
Took me almost a month to beat these guys. But it was fun tho

If you have a metagross in the front line of your team, all pokemon will have earthquake.

@@juliodonofreo you even get a Machop in Goldenrod City by trading for a Drowzee. Whitney was not that difficult, a bit tedious maybe but if you had the Machop you should be fine.

The Start berry was so strong that it had to be abandoned at the world's edge. I don't know about you, but I'd like to have a strong berry that many people consider to be a mirage.

Fun Fact Anabel sounded a little bit like she has a crush on the player when you fight her for the Gold Symbol she ask if the player fought all the way up the tower just to see her she sounded to me a little bit shy and flustered maybe she reads a lot of Rapunzel.

Yup the Battle Palace was odd because you have NO Control of your mons.
It tests the bond between Trainer and Pokémon, making things automatic.

The Palace's gimmick is that your Pokémon attack based on their nature, meaning the trainer has absolutely no influence in the battle whatsoever and just need to hope to God your mons attack
