I never saw these early episodes; now it seems really weird that Eric and Brooke got married. How can you marry the father of the man you consider your "destiny", and how can you marry the daughter of your one true love?
How can you marry a woman the age of your children that was heavily involved with your son and you were with her mother decades ago. Then had a brief affair with her mother. With the daughter pushing you two together.
I think its daddy issues for Brooke and and seeing Beth in Brooke for Eric (also midlife crysis) and their hatetred for Stephanie, and Brooke s looking for a good men after ehat Ridge did to her
After Brooke moved into the house, there were MANY problems between Stephanie and Brooke. Some of which Stephanie complained about to Eric and other times Brooke would talk to Eric about. I don’t want to spoil the story but there were some other things that happen at that point in 1990 that made it more plausible albeit still icky.
Eric SEDUCED RAPE BROOKE (her 2nd experience and Ridge was her 1rst experience) after Ridge married Caroline. She was sleeping in her bedroom and Eric sneaked into her bedroom while she was on prescription medication and booze and she was dreaming and thinking of Ridge. Eric for some strange reason thought it was him she was calling out to and he slept with her while she was barely cognizant. Afterwards he apologized to her and she later discovered (remember soap opera time) she was pregnant and so she decided to date him while not showing. He also sent her apology flowers the next day in the lab. Donna saw it and wondered why she wasn't jumping at the chance to date him immediately. Brooke implied they were apology flowers Eric sent to her. Which they were. They turned a rape into a Beric romance which resulted in Rick Forrester and then they turned the 2nd Beric rape into Eric taking her home after she was drunk and tipsy so she wouldn't drive while drinking into Bridget even though Brooke had been engaged to Ridge and sleeping only with him and was separated from Eric waiting for him to sign divorce papers.

Ugh, watching this coffee meet up between Stephanie and Brooke is a little painful to watch. I have to admit that Stephanie is a tremendous actress. Stephanie comes off to Brooke as someone who genuinely cares about her family but really is playing nice for her own personal ulterior motives. A part of me wishes that she could like Brooke but that’s simply not the case. And Brooke is so naïve about everything.
as a child in the 90s, i was always a brooke fan. always hated stephanie. as an adult watching this, i am more a stephanie fan than brooke. totally understand her hatred of the logans and absolutely admire the way she schemes.
hated the Logan’s from the time Brooke married Eric onwards. I hated how Brooke betrayed her mother and how Eric went from wanting Beth to chasing Brooke. Then I hated the replacement Donna & self righteous Katie. Both of these characters annoyed me. Now I hate Hope. I very sporadically tune in these days & turn off 5mins in because of all the Logan coverage. Brad Bell definitely loved those Logan’s & it’s sickening
I was kind of in and out of Bold during the 90’s. But I got really into in 1999 and I was team Macy. It was hard to like Brooke in that period and then after she pursued Ridge in 2001 while married to Taylor, I really couldn’t stand her. The Deacon saga was a mess but good drama. I started to like her more 2004 and later.

Brooke is so naive, not thinking Stephanie has hidden motives.Stephanie, on the other hand, is such a great pretender or actress, acting all warm, nice and caring to Brooke.
But Brooke has hidden motives too. She is sitting in Stephanie’s home pretending to be sweet & polite but deep down inside Brooke is totalling ok with encouraging her own mother to be with Eric. Brooke isn’t as naive as she appears. Both women are playing a game here
Well no I don't think Brooke is the one like pushing her mom and Eric together Eric started trying to pursue Beth from the beginning and Brooke just is a fan of her and Eric being together so she's trying to push her mom to go on to Eric's side and give Eric what he wants so Brooke didn't initiate it Eric did but she's just team Eric and Beth which I am too 🤗♥️🌷

Some good Logan back story here. Grandma (Helen) and Grandpa owned a dry cleaning business. Grandpa died in 1981 or so. No aunts or uncles on the Logan side. I don’t think we ever learned much about Beth’s family; the Henderson’s. It’d be funny if she were related to the Bruce Henderson on Y&R in the 70’s who was Lorie Brooks’ biological father.
How ironic that bill should say he would not trade all the sons in the world for Caroline.. No wonder Dolla Bill turned out the way he did .. poor guy.

Dollar Bill, besides Stephanie & Bridget, are my very favorites....I think Bill is willfully misunderstood at times by fans.....I think he has a certain private sadness about him & I think it has alot to do with his mother.....I really wish they would bring his mom & Karen back for an sl, to do especially with Bill's realtio ship with his mom......if they did this, there are like 3 candidates who would be excellent as his mother.....Jacky Smith, Joan Collins or Susan Lucci.....🥰
