I remember when I played the Sims1 about 5 years ago me and my friend made ourselves and our crushes and we dated our crushes and my sim burned the whole house down
I got the soundtrack to the Sims and went in to the Sims 2 and put the original building music in, with the help of my grandfather. I absolutely hated The Sims 2's music, lol.
*ELLEN GOODMAN* I don't like any of the sims music except for sims 2. It is PERFECT. Nothing is perfect. But it is literally the best. Sims 2 is the best. (Except building houses I think is better in the sims 4)
I agree with the building in Sims 4. I wish we had some of those options in Sims 3 but I still play Sims 3 more than any other version. I love the colour wheel and pattern options etc. Open world, even with the lag at times is the best for me too. :o)
So annoying seeing all the comments about how The Sims 1 sucks, baring in mind this game was released 14 YEARS AGO. Watching this video has brought back so many memories! I can guarantee the majority of people who think this game sucks didn't play it when it was at it's prime.
I remember playing the sims1. It was awesome and I became to love it. I wish i played more. I only played it a few weeks i think. Because sims2 was released soon after, i played sims2 ever since. I wish i found sims1 early and played more :) it gives me nostaliac feelings. I was in elementary school back then.
I LOVE the jazzy music that came with sims 1. The sims 4 producer said he was playing sims4 to some nice jazz lounge music, turned out it was just a placeholder but I think the actual music is going to be jazzy.
+slugly I was 11.. im 17 now ahaha! I did play all of the games though.. In the right order...I even had the deluxe version of Sims 1.. I still have it XDDD
All the nistalgia, also, I'm reading all these comments of these kids who are growing up with the sims 4 now saying the sims 1 sucks. Without The Sims even before this one, the sims 4 would never exist. And you're complaining about graphics, please, that's like saying GTA V is good because the graphics are good. Gta V sucked, GTA SA didn't have great graphics but that was the best game out there. Like the sims 1 (sorry I wrote a novel there :p)
I actually really liked the Sims 1. Yes it was archaic compared to the Sims 3 (even the Sims 2, really), but it's just so nostalgic when I play it I just die from nostalgia. I'm a life long simmer and proud. :)
My first sim's name in The Sims 1 name was Annabelle Pruis. I remember creating that sim clear as day.. I don't know why. XD I dont understand why people hate this game so much.. It's a fucking classic. I guess you all hate it because the graphics aren't all realistic ay? Well listen here you modern fuck. This game was made in 2000, And you shouldn't judge a game by its graphics really. You should judge it by its storyline and the point of the game. Geez.. (Sorry if this didn't make sense. Im typing this while im tired as fuck, but i'm sure you get what i mean.)
Well i've had... Interesting sims 1 characters but in sims 2 I created a male that was really sloppy and pretty boring until I got him alien impregnated. He eventually died leaving the ugly ass alien teen who for some reason wasn't taken away and I eventually tried murdering him which caused the game to crash and the game to become really loud. Man I love that game, the crashes, the creepy glitches, and my really creepy human creations. Never fucking gets old.
calm down? like i get that it pisses you off, it pisses me off too. but some people just can’t stand older games and can only comprehend and appreciate more realistic, smooth games.
I remember the first time playing the sims. It was hilarious. So I was 8 and I didn't even know what the sims was but I decided to buy it. So I made a family of 5. 2 adults and 3 children. So the dad was cooking and a fire started. The kids had just gone to school. Since the graphics were horrible it took me a minute to figure out what the fire was. Long story short the mom and the dad died before the kids got home. And it gave me nightmare for like a month. I still remember when that happened even though it was years ago. I MISS THE SIMS 1. 😭
Hey_im _Jazztastic i have a sort of similar story... i got the sims 3 when i was 8 and i made my first family (2 adults,1 teen, child and toddler) it was a crazy day in the sims, the toddler was now a teen and he had invited a bunch of friends over, and all the other sims needs were going down and the toddler-teen was outside and the doors were lock and i was looking at him then all of a sudden he got up from the bench he was on and died.. i was confused, then before the grim reaper took him i switched to see his needs and he had starved to death..
+Hey_im _Jazztastic Haha... I think everyone's first Sims 1 experience ends in fire. I remember how excited I was to discover custom content, and I downloaded Aragorn & Arwen from LOTR. I was having a ball with them until the kitchen went up in flames and next thing I knew they were both dead. Game Over.
This brings back so many memories. I was ten when this came out and I played it for years. Had all the expansion packs eventually and I could spend an entire day just playing.
This is the first time I've ever seen the Sims 1 and wow, it looks so different than any of the other games. Too bad I didn't get to play it when it first came out (I was only 3).
Aspen Perry same I was little too.... this is the first time seeing what sims 1 looks like but I'm so glad that my mom got the sims 3 for my sister when she was young and so I get to play it
It was so great. I have played Sims 1 through 4, with almost every expansion pack. They're all cool for their own reasons, and obviously usually the newer the overall better, but it's nostalgic watching this.
It probably wasn't a great marketing choice on their part considering most of the people I talk to skipped that specific expansion pack due to the questionable name.
I first played the Sims 1 when I was 5 (along with MK Armageddon, Shaolin Monks, and Deception) but it was for PS2. I always loved the series and my favorite game was Sims 2 Castaway. There are no good Let's Plays though which saddens me :C. But this brings back so many memories.
I started playing the sims 2 when I was about 8 or 9 (my mum got it for me on the psp and then I discovered the PC version). And since then I have fallen in love with the sims and have played 3 and 4 as well. Unfortunately I never played the sims 1. I think it's passed my time (I was born in 2000)
Oml I loved Sims 2 castaway! I started playing it again, but I got scared because there was a a part of the island that had a skeleton lying on the ground... anyway, i had a monkey and named her Lola.
My earliest memory of this game is thinking that the phones looked too ugly/out-dated so I didn't place any on my lot, and I wasn't aware that I needed a fire alarm. I was playing the Goth family and Bella left something in the oven on her way to work. So I essentially murdered the entire Goth family as they came home one by one from work/school. 😓😓
i know the graphics aren't as good as sims 3 or 4 but i LOVE all the expansions and i wish they had included them in future sims unfortunately they didn't...
You're looking for "move_objects on". They should really add a feature on TH-cam where you can hear what the viewer is screaming at you from the other end!
So many memories, i've been playing since sims 1 came out. So many awesome expansions that i wish that they would come out with for future sims games. This is definitely making my heart smile.
aww so many memories, it came out when i was two and i started playing when i was 4, i used to spend hours on it! and i remember that hideous octagon house with the woohoo bed.. hahaha
I love playing The Sims and I still play it now. The only thing I didn't like was the burglar and fire music. I remember running out of the room crying.
"In 2000 I was 6 years old." O.m.g! I got this game when I was in college. It's interesting to be a part of the last generation that grew up without electronics. We didn't have cell phones or "social" networks.
so many memories! The music, the building mode, the graphics, the feelings, the game play. Everything was sweet about this classic game. However, even though it is a classic, it has dated seriously. I mean The Sims 2 was revolutionary aswell, and apart from the graphics and the lighting, in relation to The Sims 3, that game is still really new!
I wasn't born when the original Sims 1 came out, (And I really want to try it out, I only own the Sims 2, 3 and 4,) but seriously, judging the game by it's graphics? Sure EA and Maxis have developed more better games, (Sims 2, 3 and 4,) but at that time during 2000 it was a very popular game. They held millions of fans and players clinged to the game and you're saying that it sucks by it's graphics? It does have crappy graphics, but what about the gameplay or story progression? Without Sims 1 we would have never had Sims 2, 3 or 4, and to be honest the Sims 2 and 3 were the best, Sims 4 is kind of lacking in gameplay, but it'll probably get better when they release expansion packs. I have been looking for the Sims 1 ever since I got the Sims 2, and it seems like they don't sell it anymore over here. Sims 1 and 2 had the best story progression, they told stories about characters and made character progression. Is there any character progression or story progression in the Sims 4? No. Unless you see Bella and Mortimer Goth as character progression or story progression. Sim fans who've been around since the Sims 1 and have played it for hours must deeply love this game with nostalgia. It really hurts those fans when you say 'wow, this game suks. the grafics look dum.' Learn to be more considerate and respect others opinions and nostalgic terms,
My birthday is in June too! I was 4 when this came out but I didn't start playing it until I was 5 when I moved in with my cousins who had the game. Makin' Magic was my absolute favorite expansion pack because of the spooky vibe to it.
i know this is video is a year old but look at all the people saying that this game sucks just because of the GODDAMN GRAPHIC i dont judge games by graphics i judge them by GAMEPLAY
I agree man Kids like tdy all they care is stupid Grapics for me i don't care i want like the old grapics where back then like around 2006 they don't care about grapics they only care like story, missions etc
SpareBrains561 I have RCT 2 (Roller Coaster Tycoon 2) and its really fun when i get to the negative reviews of the game its really unfair because they all screaming right WHERES THE FUCK IS THE GRAPHICS (dont judge my grammar im from spain)
This game holds so much nostalgia for me from when I was a kid, it makes me happy to find an LP series of it that I can actually stand to watch! Keep up the good work you do, I'll keep watching!
EASTER EGG DISCOVERY!!! : Okay so at 15:54, a classical song you'd find in a fancy restaurant comes on... So if anyone has played the Sims Freeplay and has the Candlelit Dinner Restaurant, you'd know about the song that plays when you enter the restaurant? It's the same song xD
I like the way you laugh ^^ It was awesome going back to the Sims 1 again, I remember first playing it at my friend's house and it was the most amazing thing ever.
+Aprime no,the sims 2 for GameCube.Theres 4 different sims for games GameCube,Bustin Out,The sims 1,the sims 2,And I do belive the sims 2 apartment life.
It came out in February 2000 so I was 3, but I started playing alongside my mom when I was 4-5 and then on my own by 6. I have dedicated almost all of my life to the sims franchise. Wow.
puggles 1912 saying 'relax' isn't going to make me relax, okay? I wasn't even freaking out, I was just telling her that she was wrong. Also… *ahem* wth?? 'No' it all. I knew about the word 'know' when I was 5. I didn't write 'no' instead of 'know'. Also it doesn't matter what year it was, it matters what year it's closer to.
I loved the Sims 1 (and the Sims 2 and 3 for that matter) but honestly if I get nostalgic for the old games I just come on here, watch people play it for awhile and then I'm glad to come back to the present again and enjoy all the great stuff we have now and didn't have back then
Wow. Watching this brings back memories. I haven't played the Sims 1 in years. Lol I've forgotten how to play too. I forgot how limited it is. The Sims has really come a long way! I can't wait to see what Sims 4 will be like. :)
I was born in September 1997, so that makes me approximately 2 and 1/2 years old when it came out in February 2000! I used to love this game so much, I think I started playing around 2002-2003.. I became so addicted to this game and it progressed onward to Sims 2 when I got in Christmas 2005..
I was born in 1998, and I never had the joy of experiencing The Sims 1. The first Sims game I was exposed to was The Sims 2 when I was in Kindergarten, and even then, I didn't play it until about the fourth or fifth grade. I never got The Sims 3, since The Sims 2 Double Deluxe Edition that was given wound up crashing on our computer and my parents became opposed to having any more Sims games, even though they don't usually do that. The closest thing I can do now is watch others play it, which isn't so bad. Thanks for making this.
Oh the memories. The "rosebud" cheat was my best friend.
SimgmProductions same here xD
***** adding your sims money, it generates 1000 Simoleons( Sims' currency) per cheat :)
And the fateful addon, ";!;!;!;!;!;!;!;!;!;!;!;!;!;!;!;!;!;!;!;!;!;!;!;!;!;!;!;!;!;!;!".
SimgmProductions SIMGM!
SimgmProductions
now this was the shit back in the day when you didn't need a gaming computer to play games
I remember when I played the Sims1 about 5 years ago me and my friend made ourselves and our crushes and we dated our crushes and my sim burned the whole house down
Sarah C. lmao
***** same here. :) I created a fresh character and made my lady to remarry. lol. she didn't even feel guilty!
Sarah C. I remember playing this a long time...
Sarah Lynn that escalated quickly
LOL LOL
Loved the build music in Sims 1. They never quite got it right in the other versions after that. Just my opinion.
ikr? it went from classic to techno and then I don't even know. lol

Yeah I think it's great too. And that's why I said the majority of people, not all.
High five to you too! Love your name by the way :')
Well, I growed with Sims 2. But it was actually a very good game, maybe the best!
Yeah. I mean to me, compared to other games, I do t like it, but considering the sims 1 was made I while ago, it’s pretty good.
I've owned the games since they originally came out. I have all the EPs on their original discs :). You can buy these off of ebay though
I LOVE the jazzy music that came with sims 1. The sims 4 producer said he was playing sims4 to some nice jazz lounge music, turned out it was just a placeholder but I think the actual music is going to be jazzy.
Ahh, nostalgia. Bringing it back to where my addiction began.
Anyone remember when Sims 3 came out in 2009 and everyone was freaking out holy shit
I wanted it so bad tbh even tho I was like 8
***** actually if you take my end-of-summer birthday into account i was only 7 for over half of 2009
+slugly I was 11.. im 17 now ahaha! I did play all of the games though.. In the right order...I even had the deluxe version of Sims 1.. I still have it XDDD
Damn I was 11 when sims 3 came out
sam 2009 is when I was 1 I'm ten and play the Sims...........what!?
BTW ten IS a preteen
All the nistalgia, also, I'm reading all these comments of these kids who are growing up with the sims 4 now saying the sims 1 sucks. I agree people don’t realize what it was like when this came out. Graphics don’t mean anything the fun element does.
This reminds me of the first Zoo Tycoon game with the 2D graphics.
My first sim's name in The Sims 1 name was Annabelle Pruis.
I remember creating that sim clear as day.. I don't know why. XD
I dont understand why people hate this game so much..

I fucking love you... Someone in this world has common sense! I want your children.. All of them... Okay bye!
Little Twee First sim I made was Jeane Marberry =u= ahhhh I rmemeber her. I used her for every start of the game
calm down? like i get that it pisses you off, it pisses me off too. but some people just can’t stand older games and can only comprehend and appreciate more realistic, smooth games.

Oh the memories! i utterly enjoy this game, look how far we have come
The sudden sad realization that James is younger than you
I was ten when it came out.
No!
+rickardspaghetti same with me.
I was -1 months old when it came out (it came out about 1 month before I was born).
No kidding! 6 in 2000... I had to go over the numbers in my head a few times to get over the fact that his voice wasn't breaking in this video.
*Aspen Perry* And I was non-existent.
Aspen Perry same I was little too.... this is the first time seeing what sims 1 looks like but I'm so glad that my mom got the sims 3 for my sister when she was young and so I get to play it
the game was amazing and the expansion packs
Aspen Perry lol i wasn't even born
It was so great. I have played Sims 1 through 4, with almost every expansion pack. They're all cool for their own reasons, and obviously usually the newer the overall better, but it's nostalgic watching this.
Sims 1 is my childhood. This is the first game I’ve installed on my PC. That’s 18 years ago... I’ve been playing the same game for 18 years...
my parents didn't want to get me "hot date" ep lmaoo
+Pierre Stromae Haha, indeed. My mother wanted to think about it for a few weeks.
+Pierre Stromae SAME!
wtf haha that's the ep I used the most I think, was I that perverted as a kid?
It probably wasn't a great marketing choice on their part considering most of the people I talk to skipped that specific expansion pack due to the questionable name.
I wanted it. I was too scared to ask for it. We only had one ep, it was Making Magic or something
I used to be SO obsessed with Sims 1! What am I talking about? I still am! 😄 I adore the the sims.
Sims Makin Magic is my favourite expansion pack.
"Honestly please don't expect anything brilliant because it's not going to be" is my mantra in life.
I think it's passed my time (I was born in 2000)
I was just lucky, beings that I was born in 01.
+Joey Wild my sister showed me the sims 2 on ps2 when I was like 6 and I loved it and now I have urbz for sims 2 and sims 3 and ts3 pets for ps3
Jacynda Santiago My favourite is the Sims 3, I think. But I have great memories from the Sims 2
Oml I loved Sims 2 castaway! I started playing it again, but I got scared because there was a a part of the island that had a skeleton lying on the ground... anyway, i had a monkey and named her Lola.

Little known fact. You could import your characters from the Sims 1 into Simcity 4 and have them live in your city!
Very nostalgic
DAMMNNNN The Sims came A Long way!!!!! LOL
I loved Sims 1. It was amazing nothing not even sims 4 can compare to sims 1! I remember my first 2 sims. Bryan Oaks and Lily Oaks! amazing ;)

The Sims 2 is the best.
Mojang PVP Plays Sims 4 fucking sucks. Not as bad as Watch Dogs, though. That was a waste of valuable file space, pirated or not.
Sims 2 is the best BY FAR. In sims 1 you can't even build your character. You are just being nostalgic.
I've started playing The Sims in 2002 :D Was 8 years old but it was great!
“If you’re watching this in the future” *me in 2023 going and looking through old playlists after stumbling across a sims 4 let’s play*
i know the graphics aren't as good as sims 3 or 4 but i LOVE all the expansions and i wish they had included them in future sims unfortunately they didn't...
Jesus Christ dude, how big is your monitor??
Are you playing on a movie theater screen? 52 viewable item tiles at once? Wow
OH SHIT. I'm watching this in the future!
Cliptonheist I’m watching it in the future future
The Sims came out when I was only 12 years old, I played it nonstop! Building houses, killing Sims, so many good memories. :)
You're looking for "move_objects on".
They should really add a feature on TH-cam where you can hear what the viewer is screaming at you from the other end!
First time I see someone actually thinking that far!
YES!!! lol
So many memories, i've been playing since sims 1 came out. So many awesome expansions that i wish that they would come out with for future sims games. This is definitely making my heart smile.
I always loved the original sims... getting the big mansion from nothing was such a good feeling.
It's 2020 and I still love sims 1
i forgot how calming the music in Sims 1 was...
Watching this in 2015, i used to play the sims 1 too. Back in the day, this game was the best game I've ever had ~
aww so many memories, it came out when i was two and i started playing when i was 4, i used to spend hours on it! and i remember that hideous octagon house with the woohoo bed.. hahaha
It's been 23 years since this one came out now lol
THE MUSIC IN THE FURNITURE MODE HOLY SHIT ! T-T
I don't know where they are from, but in Australian, NZ and UK (probably other places too), it's spelt mum.
Omg When A Burglar Is SOOOOO Much Scarier than On Sims 3!!
It's so pleasant when re play a game that you played a long time ago and start remembering things from it!
I love playing The Sims and I still play it now. The only thing I didn't like was the burglar and fire music. I remember running out of the room crying.
In 2000...i used to play it 8 hours a night....love it so much.
"In 2000 I was 6 years old." O.m.g! I got this game when I was in college. It's interesting to be a part of the last generation that grew up without electronics. We didn't have cell phones or "social" networks.
i wasnt even born i am 14 years old 😂
Mouna el yousoufi I'm....uh....let's just say I'm a younger veiwer.

'Look at that its Buutiful' This video cracked me up so much, just how enthusiastic you were! Great video, the house looks lush!

0o_L'arc_en_Ciel_o0 Cool. Can you recommend any safe sites?
MULTIAPPLECATZ RULE excuse me, as a person of the future, the sims 4 does have story progression and it's gotten a lot better just as a base game.
My birthday is in June too! I was 4 when this came out but I didn't start playing it until I was 5 when I moved in with my cousins who had the game. Makin' Magic was my absolute favorite expansion pack because of the spooky vibe to it.
I've been playing since it first came out as well, I think I was 7 when I first started.
I doubt it'd be completed yet. It would definitely be nearing completion, but they would not be 100% in testing phase by any means.
This game must be awesome in 2000
In one thing the first is still the best: that awesome music
Hes like if your watching this in the future its been like 14 or even 15 and im here in 2016 xD

I'm watching this is 2019, which means The Sims is almost 20 years old now
i know this is video is a year old but look at all the people saying that this game sucks just because of the GODDAMN GRAPHIC i dont judge games by graphics i judge them by GAMEPLAY
I agree man Kids like tdy all they care is stupid Grapics for me i don't care i want like the old grapics where back then like around 2006 they don't care about grapics they only care like story, missions etc
SpareBrains561 I have RCT 2 (Roller Coaster Tycoon 2) and its really fun when i get to the negative reviews of the game its really unfair because they all screaming right WHERES THE FUCK IS THE GRAPHICS (dont judge my grammar im from spain)
hugo avergonzado Shit really? Show me the video (Yeah ik my grammar is not good as well cause im asia)
It is many yrs old
It’s 18 years old now, amazing.
I remember play this sims 1 when I was around 8 years old after I forced my sister few times to allowed me play this game :')
I love sims freeplay
I'm a pro
As of 10.29.2014(not there yet, lol.) I was 13 when the Sims came out. Wow..... Time flies by so fast!

Kristin Osk Gretarsdottir Uh no. Literally 2017 is only a few weeks later. So it's more like 17 years. -_-
+21funnybunny chill lol
tomvri - How is that funny? 'Lol'
puggles 1912 saying 'relax' isn't going to make me relax, okay? I wasn't even freaking out, I was just telling her that she was wrong. Also… *ahem* wth?? 'No' it all. I knew about the word 'know' when I was 5. I didn't write 'no' instead of 'know'. Also it doesn't matter what year it was, it matters what year it's closer to.
puggles 1912 shit it’s 2018 y’all need to come back to the future.
man such good times and memories playing sims 1. it truly was a revolutionary game.
Who Watching In 2016 Anyone
me
Me im your future!
2017! :p
2018. Wow 18 year old game
Man this brings back memories, I was 8/9 when this came out. The sims has certainly come a long way...
My first sim was Carly Williams. I thought you were only supposed to create yourself
I loved the Sims 1 (and the Sims 2 and 3 for that matter) but honestly if I get nostalgic for the old games I just come on here, watch people play it for awhile and then I'm glad to come back to the present again and enjoy all the great stuff we have now and didn't have back then
This was posted on my birthday :)
Happy late birthday
thxs
posted a day after my bday hey girl mine may 12
No offence, but who cares?
Diamond 0099 Good point
Wow. Watching this brings back memories. I haven't played the Sims 1 in years. Lol I've forgotten how to play too. I forgot how limited it is. The Sims has really come a long way! I can't wait to see what Sims 4 will be like. :)
Sims 4=Shit, they removed pools!!!!!!! No more swimming and its pretty small, not open world
This was a 2006 or 2007 game
Ummm, that's a joke right? This came out in 2000.
Sims 2 was more of that since it came out in 2004.
1999 :D
I think it was 2000 or 2001
أويس توكلنا February 4, 2000 to be exact.
I was born in September 1997, so that makes me approximately 2 and 1/2 years old when it came out in February 2000! I used to love this game so much, I think I started playing around 2002-2003.. I became so addicted to this game and it progressed onward to Sims 2 when I got in Christmas 2005..
14(years ago)
Did you look at the upload date?
yes
CJ Gloria the first sims was out 14 years ago
Brian Cibrian Oh sorry for the ignorance.
5 mins in...... dude wtf are you doing!?
I find you so entertaining. When u asked us if it was boring I would say no because every time you love something you say beautiful
2017 Anyone?
Just me? ok
Same here :3
i wish they would bring gardener back in the sims 3
