Surprise, surprise again from a remarkable contralto, counter tenor with extraordinary vocal range. First time hearing it and will over and over again. Thanks. I grew up with Unchained Melody when sung on the Andy Williams show in 1965. Bravo.

I have a guy who digitalizes my vinyl and he doesn't mind the clicks and pops - it means the record was well played (as well as being used for a coaster or a frisbie). For the same reason, I don't. Bill has about as much to do in this one as Bobby had in the beginning of Lovin' Feelin'. ha ha

Thanks, and Bobby's delivery here far surpasses any amount of damage to the vinyl (which really isn't all that bad, proving vinyl far surpasses CD).

Who is Ed Townsend? Never heard of him.i love this.Bobby Hatfield.
He's the composer and the first to record it.
Hatfield did this cover but he did not write the song. Ed Townssend wrote it in 1958.
Drugs took the best. Bobby and Elvis. And Janis.
He can sing any song and it was awesome, but sorry this one belongs to Ed Townsend.
