I just got mine today. This scooter is no joke, very high build quality, very well packaged. App is functional, safety features galore, brakes are amazing. It is heavy!! and still accelerates faster than declared on segways' site. I plugged it in and got to 75% before the sun got low so I went for a spin, hit 38 all the way down to 30-40% battery. again, it is heavy, not the easiest for a noob scooter rider. suspension is awesome, 11x4 tires help a lot!!! range seems to be easily 30+ miles at higher speeds. you'll like it!
I have the Segway gt2 and going into park mode at an intersection is very annoying. I'm so glad you figured out how to keep it out of park mode by holding the hand brake, this has been very helpful for me. Thankyou
The horn is even better than you think. There is an option in the app to make the motor also vibrate with the horn (as long as the scooter is not in park) and it makes the horn sound amazing and the sound travels quite far.

@@Qu.Z. Personally owning a GT2, I would say that $2500 for the GT2, and $1,700 - $1,800 for the GT1 would be fair - but not more than that. The reason why I feel that way? Man, this is awesome and at a great price. Now seeing how the price is dropping for both the GT1 and GT2 im wondering if segway will be coming out with a GT3 with even better performance specs and solving the issues other reviewers and owners have mentioned, specially the clunk sound from the suspension and the limitation on the peak speed and battery amp size. I probably should wait longer before making my final choice lol. I dont want to get a GT2 and then 2 or 3 months later a GT3 comes out hahahahahaha 😂

Could you tell me what you think would have the most range out of all the scooters you have tested for around the 3k USD price range. something beefy with at least a 280lbs limit. doesnt need to go 60mph. I seen the new Yume Osprey is claiming 100 mile range.
The GT1 was on sale at Segway yesterday for $1,299.99. I already own one but I ordered a second one because the price was so low. Unfortunately the deal ended, but the current price is $1,599.99 so still a pretty good deal.

Great video guys! Have you reviewed the Segway Megatron GT 2 version? Also, just wondering how you are filming each other while riding at the same time?
My brother and I both had one, but I exchanged mine for the standard color. The only difference is the colorway, and the megatron edition comes with an engine speaker that comes with different engine noises than the standard Segway engine speaker, and a collector's plaque with the serial number. Oh, and the daytime running light is red on that one, as opposed to the natural 'white' on the standard. In case you're wondering why I exchanged mine was because I'm an older dude, and it the 'decepticon' logos weren't my thing. I also didn't like the thin white lines that grace the gunmetal finishes, and the red daytime running light didn't seem functional, as it was less visible. At night, when both daytime running light and headlight are on, mine seemed to have slightly more coverage especially closer to the rider, since the white daytime running light acted as an extension to the headlight, whereas the red light on my bro's kinda dulled that effect. If the megatron one had a solid gunmetal look without the (in my opinion) tacky white lines crisscrossing all over the body, and had white daytime running lights, I think it would have looked cooler and more aggressive/sporty, but as it is, in my opinion, I think the standard one looks much more classy.
Hi, I recently bought a Segway GT1, and when i watched your video review on Segway GT1, i noticed on your app that showed on the screen, you have a Customize Mode Speed Speed Modes & Zero Speed start, may i know what phone do you use and how can i have the samw settings like yours? I've tested many including the latest inmotion RS and I have to agree, this is by far the most stable escooter on the market. Vsett 10 was the worst. Wobbly AF. If GT2 goes below 2500, I'm buying one. $2999 is still too much when you can get something with more power and range.
Thank you for your review I'll stick with my Mercane MX60 much better with it's dual motor power. Have you guys review the Mercane MX60? Thanks again 😊!
I just ordered one on Amazon since my last scooter broke pretty catastrophically. I use it to commute to work, mixed with riding the train. I suspect I'm going to regret buying such a heavy scooter with all the stairs I need to climb. I've been in the gym all year and I've gotten used to carrying my 55lb scooter that just broke... I hope I can find a method to carry this up and down stairs.
For someone who weighs like 175 LBS, how much range can you expect with a 20 AMP battery on this scooter? (say with full throttle only, maximum speed?)
This scooter sounds like it would be great in it’s reliability. My concern that it wouldn’t be good enough on some hills(that’s what the GT2’s perhaps for). At almost 6’5” I’d like to have a 43” handlebar height from the deck up. I wonder what it is. Guess I’ll have to ask Segway.
I like it, I'm just not sure about the "Superscooter" title when its single motor. It sounds like Segway are trying to make it more than it is. (Owner of a Phantom here).
Even as a GT2 owner, I chuckle about the "super" moniker - at least when it comes to top speed. But the acceleration actually does compete with the legitimate superscooters that are the 72v variants. At 100lbs, this is one heavy scooter. Poor weight to performance ratio and weight to range ratio. I think the gt2 is the way to go if you really want a Segway performance scooter.
2000$ or even $3000 for a single motor scooter?? Wtf dude???? In what Metaverse are they living? They are the only ones asking that much on a single motor lol.
As a fellow Coloradan, I'm curious-how do you feel about scooters like this during winter weather? Moreover, how do you feel about scooters in winter, altogether? I've been riding the Max G2 since it launched and have been almost exclusively commuting with it during the summer. But as our colder weather approaches, I'm debating going back to driving my car or getting something like the dual motor Segway GT2 or an e-bike.
I don’t care for winter riding. I’ll ride down to around 45-40 degrees. Snow and ice? Forget it. I don’t trust these little tires. I don’t even like riding in the rain. The cold takes the fun out of it for me. Hands, feet and face freeze. Snot pouring down 😂😂😂.
Hey there, I live in Oregon and have played around riding in different weather for years. I have to agree on the temps you listed. I wont go out under 45 one thing I have found that kind of was a game changer for the hands was bar mitts that are made for bikes you can get little rechargeable hand warmers to put in them. Really is the only way to have good control so you don't have to wear bulky gloves. ride save :}@@grazz7865

Right on looking forward to that too. Hey Andrew off topic comment. Is there any way you can help me get Yogi Steve an armored hoodie would be happy to pay for part of it if need be. He is riding that wolf around at like 50 now with no upper body protection. I am a fan of all you guys and have been subbed for years, I chat with him online a lot. Would hate to see him get hurt AGAIN lol. Let me know what you think, thx for your time@@Andrew-vt4jt
My personal opinion mirrors Andrew's. If you have the money, GT2 all the way. Why? Because it's basically a 2-in-1. Via the app you can set it to be a GT1, but with impressive range (I get about 65 miles when I set it to one-wheel drive on 'Eco' mode cruising around 15-17 mph), but as soon as you enable that second motor, yeeeeeeeeeee-haaaaaaaaaw, hold on to your belt buckles, Dorothy! Impressive amount of torque. Plus, you get that awesome display. Also, I'm not certain of this part, but even though people say that the suspension is the same between the two, it's easy to see that GT1's springs are black, where they are red on the GT2. Could it be just the color of the springs that are different? Sure! But it could also be a different shock/springs. I'd look into that if that's important to you.
Hi all, I got my GT2 a week ago. The suspension clunk is unbearable! Has anyone solved this issue? I contacted the manufacturer and service centre and they all say it's normal. Any way to fix it without replacing the front shock? thanks!
Call Apollo and tell them you would like to see us review them. They said they were going to send us some scooters to test and review and then they never followed up.
This scooter feels so much better than anything in the price range. That doesn't make it a slam dunk recommendation. It's crazy heavy, the range isn't particularly good for the price and top speed isn't insane. Don't underestimate the weight. This is almost as non-portable as a stand up scooter can be.
@@freshlycharged Yes, I have a GT2 (although I believe the GT1 is the better value out of the two). I also have an Emove Cruiser and have ridden a couple other scooters in between the two.
@@Vmaxfodder name some then. I'd love to know what other scooter can beat the build quality, craftsmanship and engineering of the GT-series. I'll be waiting....
@corndog9482 the FJ k6 is not a bad for the price range, but the title of best is hunter quad or weped black knight . The Koreans rule the scooter build .
@@Vmaxfodder Okay, I think you and I have differing opinions on the definition of the words "build quality", "craftsmanship", and "engineering". To me those are "garage creations" with shop level craftsmanship. If you equate "more power" with those above words, then we aren't even talking about the same thing, here. As for Weped? LMAO. Look, man. I'm Korean myself, and I wouldn't touch those things with a 10ft pole. But hey, if you're looking for unmatched "speed", then call it that. The components they use are off the shelf grade stuff you can find on alibaba and thrown onto a sketchy looking frame. If they were so "high-quality" they would stand by that and offer unmatched customer support and warranties. I've watched more than enough actual user reviews to know that's not what you get. Oh, and lastly, it's "FLJ". Those also look like garage hack jobs. Not exactly what I would call a feat of engineering simply because they can "go fast".
Great scooter fyl: Its much bigger than you think itll be, Its heavy Its not portable at all you wont be jumping in and out of trains and buses with this. Also its so big you cant just walk in to the shops with it. Id nearly class this as an electric Moped its that big

At 100lbs, this is one heavy scooter. Poor weight to performance ratio and weight to range ratio. I think the gt2 is the way to go if you really want a Segway performance scooter.
damn, this scooter is incredible looking, and the GT2 is even more impressive.
Now its for $1499, should I get it, the GX2 for $1399 or the Apollo Coty for $1550?
How easy is it to change the tires?
Does the GT 1 have a removable battery, and if so can you show us how it is removed?
No there is no such thing as a removable battery in GT line up
I just bought the Kukirin G3 Pro !!!!! Scooter of the year !!!!!@@scyzorpl
I placed my order September 3rd for GT1 hasn't shipped yet how long it take to get yours?
congrats, man! You're going to fall in love
2 weeks for mine. I live in NY
it took a few weeks.
We still ride in the winter if the roads and sidewalks are clear. Just need to have the proper safety and cold weather gear on.
Those helmets are cool, where can I get that helmet?
Back to the previous
speed mode
When the scooter automatically enters PARK mode, press the Power Button to go back to the previous
speed mode
Hope this helps
I love my Segway GT2M❕ #324/1150
I just got the GT1 and I have tried the firmware upgrade it tells me I am on the latest, but I do not get the regen do you have any suggestions to why
Could you do a review on the Roadrunner RS5.
Gt2 is my best el. scooter but they are all long and not for carying and for city that is big deal . I hawe ride 30 days Vsett10+ and its super fast and comfortable but its not for carying . Mine Vsett8 too mee is best beng for buck litle goes 40km/h no problem after 1500km and I didn't think that u will make that much in 3 ares and not in 10month. And it's light and super good too fold and cary for 1000€
It’s going for $1499, do you think Segway is coming out with a new one why the price fell in half?
Where can I get those helmets?
What is the warranty on the battery?
Hey I don’t know if you guys have tried the flytron scooter wide wheel
nope
Can you Guys please help me with my Segway GT1? What’s the best way to carry my Scooter on my car? There is any “scooter rack” for cars ? (Nissan Ariya 2023 ) TIA!
Wait!!!! 11:16 That weighs 106lbs ????
Yes. Hope you've been lifting weights at the gym.
Jel bolji gt1 ili maxfun 10pro
You have to see it in person before you buy anything else, worth the price.
The code is not working!
the tires are a biatch to replace. Prepare your tires to receive punctures by using sealant in them. Keep them protected. Amazing scooter. Gt1 is perfect for most people. It's classy and fun af
Will a regular bike shop work on these.. If not where would you take it??
I followed the link to the Segway GT1 store page, and it is showing as $2999.99. Did the promotion end?
It’s half price now
I’m still waiting for the dualtron Thunder 3 review guys
It should be shipped soon. Just waiting for confirmation.
He had told me that you had helped him with his channel and that he really looked up to you. I know that he really wanted to get a sponsorship for that armored shirt you guys showed off in one of your latest vids, but I think he would be more apt to wear the armored hoodie but either one. Would hate to see him get hurt AGAIN lol. Let me know what you think, thx for your time@@Andrew-vt4jt
@@Andrew-vt4jt great news can’t wait to see this one
its only 1499 on segway web right now
1799.00 now
Does anyone know why on eu Version of the website the gt1 is called the gt1e and is not on sale and it’s slower and more expensive?
Where is this? Seattle?
We can’t even use it legally in Western Australia.. we have a 25kg limit.. this weighs 48kg.
I just bought the GT1 for $1299.99. They are onsale for $1499.99 and I got $200 off
From which website???
Can you review the okidas x5
what has better value this for 2k or gt2 for 3k
It’s really tough. If you have the money, the GT2 is the best option. But if you don’t, the GT1 is great choice if you’re trying to stay under $2000.
What kind of helmet are ya'll wearing in the video?
Hi all, I got my GT2 a week ago. The suspension clunk is unbearable! Has anyone solved this issue? I contacted the manufacturer and service centre and they all say it's normal. Any way to fix it without replacing the front shock? thanks!
Just buy a other seim wud be chipa, one for spar pats
Range? What is the expected real world range?
Great review on GT1.Can you guys do a review on any apollo scooters? Thanks
Call Apollo and tell them you would like to see us review them. They said they were going to send us some scooters to test and review and then they never followed up.
Love my GT 2
22 real life miles is pretty disappointing though. and its 1500 right now on their website.
How far is it getting miles wise
The average is cut the range in 1/2 over 15mph . So 10mph is closer to what they say.
I guess they see the Apollo Pro coming
This scooter feels so much better than anything in the price range. That doesn't make it a slam dunk recommendation. It's crazy heavy, the range isn't particularly good for the price and top speed isn't insane. Don't underestimate the weight. This is almost as non-portable as a stand up scooter can be.
Very good assessment. Do you have one?
@@freshlycharged Yes, I have a GT2 (although I believe the GT1 is the better value out of the two). I also have an Emove Cruiser and have ridden a couple other scooters in between the two.
G30 with a suspension mod.. Im still waiting for a scooter for 2k that'll do 40mph just cause and isn't going to crap out after a few months.
vsett
I called segway and they told me it'll take 4-5 weeks for delivery of this.. that's too bad bc i want one!
The GT-series are impressive creations. The build quality
🤣😅😂 you clearly have NOT seen what is truly out there .
Do I feel like an idiot? 😅 I paid 2k back in June and this past week in September it went on sale for $1500.

Great scooter fyl:
Its much bigger than you think itll be,
Its heavy
Its not portable at all you wont be jumping in and out of trains and buses with this. Also its so big you cant just walk in to the shops with it. Id nearly class this as an electric Moped its that big
Cold there already?
Just for a few days. Back into the 90’s now.
