The Bose SoundSport Free are a jack of all trades. They supply a great fit but have a bulky look; they get loud but don't reproduce thumping bass; and they pair quickly but struggle with stability.

Great review! It's hard to find good in-depth reviews of wireless earbuds like this. I watched this on my Beoplay E8 Wireless Earbuds.
But Bose has my deep respect for being a reputable audio manufacturer...

Battery says can last up to 5 hours but mine lasts up to 4 hours only, sometimes 3. Is this already a battery issue?
Will this help if my case and earbuds are lost together?
Paired with my iPhone X I notice no lag when watching Netflix or VLC however there is significant lag when using the official TH-cam app. Strangely if I use a TH-cam alternative like MusicTube there’s no noticeable lag.
The lag issue is due to the You Tube app. Like you have said, other video apps don't have the lag. A workaround for You Tube is, watch You Tube through Safari. When you do this there is no lag.
How good is the sound? Is it OK? Will you recommend to buy?

Can you only use one earbud at a time? I want to use these at work but can only have one earbud in and hope I can switch between the two buds when charging is required.
You need at least the right earbud connected. The left earbud gets its signal from the right ear bud. Most all free wireless earphone (not AirPods) work this way.
Just do what I do and put them both in anyways, the rules and laws will never be completely erased if no one rebels against them.

I use Bose wireless free for gym and workout. Leisure I prefer AirPod and beatsX for Zero lags and fast connectivity.
Bought them last week and they are a good earbud. I’m just wondering whether people find them loud enough?
I know this is late, but I find they aren't super loud. I have to listen at around 75% for the best listening experience. Past that it does get loud, but it's too much at that point. Still amazing sound quality though

I've heard that may be a difference between the models, mainly based on the colors. Since they black one were released first, they are not more up date as say the orange one, which were relased last.
These earphones are really good but it’s messing out a lot of features because they have been out then 2 years they need to come out with new update specs if they want to compete with the other companies

Hi Lily! Thanks for the insight! I'll mostly be using them for the gym and running, so I'm apprehensive about the girth of the Boses which look like they may flop around too much during a workout (and the fact that the SQ isn't that great).
Just bought mine at Bose in Nashville there is lag in sound when I watch videos I wouldn’t recommend these. I had the Soundsport that weren’t completely wireless and I didn’t have this issue. I’m not happy about

Yes, buy these for $169 on sale like I did then update the firmware. They are now perfect. Sound is head & shoulders above the competition.

This is just an amazing headset! Super sound, very comfortable, and after the firmware update no video lag. Love it. Strongly disagree about the fidelity...best sound in a headset I have ever heard. Great and accurate range of sound with full rich bass.
open TH-cam app and tell me there is no lag. I returned them a day ago and even called bose about it and they said to wait for an update, it didn't fix them at all... the truth is this headphones don't support aptX so there is lag issues there but some apps like hulu work great.
@@soplete182 I bought Bose SSF and returned it upset about video audio lag on TH-cam! A few days later Bose support told me about the update. Went back to Bestbuy and got another pair. Update on my Galaxy S7 failed. So went to btu.bose.com on my laptop downloaded their update app and ran it with my S7 connected by USB. Took 10 minutes. Voila video lag gone and phone quality much better!
Really? open TH-cam app and try to watch a video, it will lag. some Apps do work though! like hulu for instance. Oh and also why don't you try and connect them to a pc and experience for yourself the unnecessary hassle and bad performance. I ended up buying the previous model "soundsport" and they work flawlessly. Even when playing pc games! @@OnlineMD

The connection between them is bad, so bad that your own head cause interference If you put one on your hand and close your fist it will completely cut off the signal like it was swallowed into oblivion, i even changed them for a new pair and the same thing is happening to the new ones it fucking sucks

Updated my firmware and my soundsport frees are just fine with watching video content now.
@@intelizWild yeah, firmware was a strange install that took way longer than it should have. Didn't try them before updating, so I didn't have a basis for without.

I hated these. No matter what size tips I used these would always fall out at least once on a run. Not to mention the constant readusting.

USB charging cord is PERFECT, I guess it depends from what part of the world. USB is easier most popular. I must say Really disappointed in my purchase. Got them thinking high quality etc. NOPE The cheap $20 from Ebay kicks its arse

I have a pair of these and am disappointed.
They don’t turn off in the case. Tha battery drains and they are still discoverable, This is a “feature”. So you just pull them out a week later, the battery will be flat.
Their weight makes them feel like they are going to fall out of my ears.
Phone calls are in one ear only, pick left or right, does not do both.
Everything is too bass-ey.
Lag makes it weird to watch videos.
